      Paywall…so

A Florida Department of Environmental Protection employee was ordered to take a leave of absense after daring to speak about climate change during a meeting, according to a complaint filed by the group Public Employees for Environmental Responsibility. The PEER complaint alleges that Barton Bibler was asked to remove references to climate change from minutes from a Florida Coastal Managers Forum, and then ordered to go away for two days—only to be told not to return until a medical exam clears him. A DEP spokeswoman denied that Florida workers are banned from using “climate change” but didn’t comment on the specific case.

I love seeing the FLOTUS on this trip. She has so much to offer and is full of grace and beauty.

Now back to cooking. Folks are wanting to get breakfast.

It’s always a great day when PBO is in the White House!

Possibly the best ever message found in TOD’s spam:

“Please let me know if you’re looking for a article author for your site. You have some really great posts and I feel I would be a good asset. If you ever want to take some of the load off, I’d really like to write some material for your blog in exchange for a link back to mine. Please blast me an e-mail if interested. Many thanks!”

Andrea Mitchell has an interview with Netanyahu. Why are people worried about did President Obama call him? Did Netanyahu call President Obama when he was coming here to speak. Please don’t call him President Obama.

I recall hearing that John Kerry called him after the news, and I was thinking touché. The news fool I heard also said that President Obama would be calling him in a few days. Although Bibi overturned proper protocol, I’m thinking President Obama wouldn’t. In my heart, I’m thinking he’ll stretch the “few days” part and cross his fingers like a kid would, when he offers a dignified “congratulations.”

        March 19, 2015 at 10:41 am

What’s Bibi going to do? Accuse PBO of now showing respect?!?!?!

Frankly, that’s exactly what the 51st senator with an “R” after his name would do.

          Good God “not” showing respect.

President Obama isn’t going to call Netanyahu until a government has been formed and he’s good and ready.

    HOPE

“Talks continue in Lausanne, Switzerland with two issues emerging as the remaining obstacles for a deal; Iran’s research and development of advanced centrifuge machines and resolution of the UN Security Council resolutions.

Both Iran and the P5+1 (China, France, Germany, Russia, the United Kingdom, and the United States) say that progress is being made and the gaps are real, but resolvable.

However, it is unlikely at this point that a deal will be reached before the weekend. At this point, talks are anticipated to continue through Friday, break for a few days due to commitments that require both U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry and Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif to leave Switzerland, and then reconvene next week.”

Ummmm… I am unable to function on any level due to that delicious picture of our President back in the day when he won the NAACP award.

    Lawd Have Mercy!!!

That one should come with a warning. I think we will need a naughty mat delivery as long as we are on this thread.

    What a handsome man.

Now I must try to get back to work….after one more peek. 🙂

I believe that it was Bill R, that said yesterday that the world, and ME in particular, is more dangerous today than before the election. I’m afraid he may be right.

    http://www.juancole.com/2015/03/mideast-elected-extremism.html

    • March 19, 2015 at 11:02 am

In the near term, yes the ME is more dangerous. The headline from Juan Cole, who is a scholar about that part of the world: “Israel has elected Extremism and Racism”

    • March 19, 2015 at 11:05 am

I’m not sure about that. Bibi hasn’t changed one bit since I first saw him on Nightline back in the early 80’s. He’s always had that racist streak and has never ever believed in the 2 state solution. He and Likud are what they are. Israelis and everybody else in the Middle East figured that out years ago. It seems to me things are about the same.

      • March 19, 2015 at 11:55 am

Bibi is unmasked now, open in his racism and has renounced the 2 state position (which he formerly supported in a speech). And the coalition he will have now is purely far right. The Israeli electorate had a chance to vote on racism and extremism and they supported it.

        • March 19, 2015 at 12:17 pm

Bibi may have paid it lip service but it was just that. Bibi has never wanted a two state solution. That’s one of the reasons he’s still furious at Mahmoud Abbas. He walked Bibi right up to the line before Netanyahu backed away from it as fast as he could.

Every time the Israelis hand power to Likud they are saying they support racism and extremism. Ariel Sharon comes to mind.

Ok. Good morning y’all. Forgive my errant ways, I am lax in delivering a promise: TOTAL SOLAR ECLIPSE March 20, 2015. 29.27 Pisces. 5:36am EDT. 2:36am PDT. This eclipse is visible from Europe, northern Africa, the Middle East (except Saudi Arabia), northwest Asia, Faroe Islands, Svalbard, Iceland, Greenland, the eastern tip of Newfoundland, and the northern Atlantic Ocean. (source: Jim Maynard, Celestial Guide, 2015). Sun enters Aries: 6:28am EDT, 3:28am PDT. And the Equinox is ON!! Republicans are petty and behave like children (or teenagers). They’re mad that democrats are rejecting their abortion amendment on the bill about human trafficking. It’s revenge. And a way to make Eric Holder suffer; they know that Mr. Holder has been wanting a good rest for quite some time.
