Anthony Brown is running for Donna Edwards Congressional. Donna is is running for the Senate seat since Barbara Mikulski is retiring next year. Chris Van Hollen is in the running for the Senate seat as well. This is going to be an ” interesting” primary here in my State next year.

Good news, donna as far as Anthony Brown. Such a shame he is not your Governor.
What are Donna E. and Chris Van H thinking, running against each other? Probably that the Dems will not be taking back the House anytime soon.
I hope whoever doesn’t win for Senate will stay in the House. We really cannot afford to lose capable democrats.

Tulsi Gabbard Still Dogged By Krishna Cult Rumors

HONOLULU — Eleven years ago, U.S. Rep. Tulsi Gabbard, now a rising star in the Democratic Party, was a little-known state representative from a West Oahu district. It was her then-Republican father, Mike, who was in the political limelight.

The elder Gabbard, known for his virulent anti-gay crusade in the 1990s, was challenging Democratic incumbent Ed Case in the race to represent Hawaii’s 2nd Congressional District. So, for a profile piece, a writer at Honolulu Magazine emailed him and asked about his family’s ties to a guru named Chris Butler, aka Jagad Guru Siddhaswarupananda Paramahamsa, who leads an obscure offshoot of the Hare Krishna movement in Hawaii.

But Tulsi Gabbard jumped in. “I smell a skunk,” she emailed back. “It’s clear to me that you’re acting as a conduit for … homosexual extremist supporters of Ed Case.”

She has not been on CNN since I called both my Rep and Nancy Pelosi and sent them the video of her secret meetings with Rick Santorum and John Barrasso to undermine PBO’s ISIL strategy.

Good for you. She came here a week before PBO landed and started talking the same trash about Obama’s isil strategy. Rightfully, our govt gave her the brusharoo. She seems to be the tom cotton of dems.

      Brava, Linda.
She was trying to get Famous…….on the back of her service in the Military. I applaud her service. It is admirable and patriotic.
These days, some equate Military Service as expert on Foreign Policy. Not…..especially when in the Military service……mainly, her requirement was to take orders unless she was one with Commanding Rank and Title……. and even with that, tactics, planning for military battle is different from political Foreign Policy and Diplomatic experience.

I am going by my little knowledge of what I have observed from a distance and talking to a handful of people……so pardon me if I am off my marbles on this.

Thanks for all the great posts! My wife and I are very busy now helping my daughter and son-in-law care for the newly born twins. They were born a week ago Sat. AM. They are about a month premature as my daughter had pre-eclampsia condition and was spiking High BP. They are named Paul (6 lbs 4oz)and Lucia (4lbs 12 oz)(Italian pronunciation). Paul was born easily and naturally, Lucia was a breach so they had to do an emergency c-section. My daughter is slowly recovering and her BP is stabilizing. We are going over several hours a day to provide respite, and I am preparing the dinner meal for the family. We only live ten minutes away, so I am glad we can help. They do need it. My daughter has three months maternity leave and then she will need to return to her job as an oncology hospital nurse, 2/3 time. Then we will be doing day care on the days she works.

    • March 16, 2015 at 5:58 pm

Thank you for the update, Bill. Will keep all of you in my thoughts. By the way, Lucia is one of my favorite names!!!

And interestingly, my daughter is currently living on Lucia Avenue in SoCal… Pretty name!

      • March 16, 2015 at 6:42 pm

Lucia was the middle name of my own Italian mother, her full name, Renata Diana Lucia Sari. And my oldest granddaughte- 4 yr old- is named after my Italian immigrant grandmother, Matilda Sari. My daughter has a sense of family lineage.

I think it is just lovely when the ancestral names and energies are brought forward into the future. Certainly their DNA is present, and probably their loving energy is all around!

Congrats, Bill, on your twin grandchildren. Wishing your daughter a very quick recovery. I come from a family of twins. My mom was a twin and I come after twins (brother and sister). My Sister who came before the twins had twins(boy and a girl) who were also born slightly over a month premature. They are now in their forties with children of their own.

Did you see my comment to you. I have friends who are friends to your children. Just after you announced the birth of the twins I was on Facebook and a friend put on the announcement of twins, boy & girl, born at 2:17 on March 7. I didn’t see how there could be two sets of twins born at the same time with the same names. It is a small world. Know they will be the joy of your life. Congrats!!!

Now, that is how you do an interview!
This should be viewed by everyone who stayed home during the mid-terms.
Especially those so-called Libertarians who pick and chose when they want to be liberal.
Including those chicken hearted Dems. who were scared to stand behind POB during the mid-terms.
And please, even more so scared to jump into the ring to make sure this administration’s hard work continues forward after all the endless and tireless work POB does day after day.

I am so tired of seeing him fight and stand alone. Why aren’t the Dems speaking out more on the issues PBO is laying the ground work for them to canary on. I don’t trust Hillary and Billary to do this. She is not qualified.
President Obama showed us that in 2008 and even now in 2015.
I am so glad he heard the call. He was obedient to the call and has not looked back.
I truly am grateful for this life to experience this liked of leadership that I never thought would happen.

    Hello TOD.
Au ⭐ for Swbluega and NCLB.
Thanks NW for posting this Vice News Interview. I was trying to find out a little about the Vice News.
It started in 2013. Murdoch owns 5% of it. A&E Network and some other entity own 10%. They are into Newsy Current Affairs of the day internationally, in-dept documentary and they are worldwide with 34 and counting serious folks.
I will now go and listen to the interview.

It all makes sense if you use his logic: It’s not racist to tell black jokes or compare blacks to apes or kill them unarmed because they look like “demons” – it’s racist to call out the people who DO all that.

Well, it sure goes to show that cockroaches don’t like having light shone on them.

Chris Christie Officials Sent Pension Money To Subsidiary of Donor’s Foreign Firm

Two years ago, as New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie pursued re-election, his administration found itself mulling investment options for the state’s $80 billion pension fund. In one deal in May 2013, officials settled on a subsidiary of U.K.-based foreign financial conglomerate Prudential plc. With little fanfare, state pension overseers quickly endorsed the deal.

Weeks later, a Hong Kong-based executive director and board member of Prudential plc delivered a maximum $3,800 contribution to Christie’s gubernatorial campaign, followed by a maximum $32,400 donation to the Republican National Committee, which was about to launch a get-out-the-vote effort for Christie. Two months after that, New Jersey began moving public employees’ retirement savings into two funds managed by the Prudential subsidiary as part of the state’s new $300 million investment commitment to the company.

State and federal rules are designed to prevent firms that manage public pension money from contributing to the campaigns of public officials who have the authority to influence pension investments. The sequence of transactions in New Jersey, campaign finance experts say, is troubling.

Seems like every day…something new surfaces…
