    A new low.

    http://www.msnbc.com/rachel-maddow-show/hes-mike-huckabee-and-he-approves-suspect-message#break

Even as he seeks to put the ghosts of 2008 behind by winning over major Republican donors, he has pursued some highly unconventional income streams – not just the diabetes endorsement, but selling ads on email commentaries he sends to thousands of his supporters.

A spokeswoman for Mr. Huckabee declined to say how much he earned from these efforts. But she said he had broken off as a spokesman for the diabetes cure a couple of weeks ago, suggesting concerns that the unusual endorsements may appear un-presidential. […]

One ad arriving in January in the inboxes of Huckabee supporters, who signed up for his political commentaries at MikeHuckabee.com, claims there is a miracle cure for cancer hidden in the Bible. The ad links to a lengthy Internet video, which offers a booklet about the so-called Matthew 4 Protocol. It is ā€œfreeā€ with a $72 subscription to a health newsletter.

Another recent pitch sent out to Huckabee’s supporters carried the subject line ā€œFood Shortage Could Devastate Country.ā€ It promoted Food4Patriots survival food kits, described as the ā€œNo. 1 item you should be hoarding.ā€
Huckabee began using his name and mailing list as a lucrative tool for dubious enterprises several years ago, and it appears to be a habit he’s reluctant to break.

I wonder if he still thinks this, Japa, or if he’s just a grifter in the Alaska Barbie vein. They are both using the ‘potential to run’ as a sort of part-time well-paying job. In fact, it may well be a Republican ‘job’ of sorts – I seem to have a vague memory of the not-a-witch McConnell female using similar tactics to enhance her finances. 😦

Those messages aren’t at all unbelievable to the black community.

Better late, but that’s one great thing about social media and technology – it’s easier to expose the racism that they’d otherwise just lie about when they needed to.

It’s clear that there are elements of police forces all over the place that are simply KKK members or wannabes who can pass police exams.

So if the GOP wants to stall the Loretta Lynch nom, AG Holder can get started on rooting out this ugliness.

THEY ARE NOT FIT TO SERVE THIS CITY. PERIOD.

      • March 16, 2015 at 12:17 pm

The racists bigots ought to be fired. Proof again that all policemen aren’t angels as some people try to act like they are. Because you can kill someone that does not mean you have to do so if your life isn’t in danger. But when it comes to black men, the police motto is shoot first, ask questions later.

I’ve been following this trial since it started. Those videos of the bombing that were released last week were horrifying and those two monsters after sending that city into chaos, maiming and killing innocent people are seen casually going to the grocery store and buying some milk while the streets are flowing with blood. He needs to spend 100 years behind bars in solitary confinement.

    For AMK:
    *Engineers #1 *

Two engineering students were biking across a university campus
when one said, “Where did you get such a great bike?”

The second engineer replied, “Well, I was walking along
yesterday, minding my own business, when a beautiful woman rode
up on this bike, threw it to the ground, took off all her
clothes and said, “Take what you want.”

The first engineer nodded approvingly and said, “Good choice:
The clothes probably wouldn’t have fit you anyway. ”

To the optimist, the glass is half-full. To the pessimist, the
glass is half-empty. To the engineer, the glass is twice as big
    as it needs to be.

A priest, a doctor, and an engineer were waiting one morning for
a particularly slow group of golfers.

The engineer fumed, “What’s with those guys? We must have been
    waiting for fifteen minutes!”

The doctor chimed in, “I don’t know, but I’ve never seen such
    inept golf!”

The priest said, “Here comes the greens-keeper. Let’s have a
word with him. ” He said, “Hello George. What’s wrong with that
group ahead of us? They’re rather slow, aren’t they?”

The greens-keeper replied, “Oh, yes. That’s a group of blind
firemen. They lost their sight saving our clubhouse from a fire
last year, so we always let them play for free anytime.”

The group fell silent for a moment. The priest said, “That’s so
sad. I think I will say a special prayer for them tonight.”

The doctor said, “Good idea. I’m going to contact my
ophthalmologist colleague and see if here’s anything she can do
    for them.”

The engineer said, “Why can’t they play at night?”

What is the difference between mechanical engineers and civil
engineers? Mechanical engineers build weapons. Civil engineers
    build targets.

    *Understanding Engineers #5

The graduate with a science degree asks, “Why does it work?”

The graduate with an engineering degree asks, “How does it work?”

The graduate with an accounting degree asks, “How much will it
    cost?”

The graduate with an arts degree asks, “Do you want fries with
    that?”

    *Understanding Engineers #6 *

Three engineering students were gathered together discussing who
must have designed the human body.

One said, “It was a mechanical engineer. Just look at all the
    joints.”

Another said, “No, it was an electrical engineer. The nervous
system has many thousands of electrical connections.”

The last one said, “No, actually it had to have been a civil
engineer. Who else would run a toxic waste pipeline through a
    recreational area?”

    *Understanding Engineers #7
    *
Normal people believe that if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.

Engineers believe that if it ain’t broke, it doesn’t have enough
    features yet.

    *Understanding Engineers #8 *

An engineer was crossing a road one day, when a frog called out
to him and said, “If you kiss me, I’ll turn into a beautiful
    princess.”

He bent over, picked up the frog, and put it in his pocket.

The frog spoke up again and said, “If you kiss me, I’ll turn
back into a beautiful princess and stay with you for one week.”

The engineer took the frog out of his pocket, smiled at it and
    returned it to the pocket.

The frog then cried out, “If you kiss me and turn me back into a
princess, I’ll stay with you for one week and do anything you
    want.”

Again, the engineer took the frog out, smiled at it and put it
    back into his pocket.

Finally, the frog asked, “What is the matter? I’ve told you I’m
a beautiful princess and that I’ll stay with you for one week
and do anything you want. Why won’t you kiss me?”

The engineer said, “Look, I’m an engineer. I don’t have time for
a girlfriend, but a talking frog – now that’s cool.”

    And Finally

    Two engineers?

Two engineers were standing at the base of a flagpole, looking
    at its top.

A woman walked by and asked what they were doing.

“We’re supposed to find the height of this flagpole,” said one
engineer, “but we don’t have a ladder.”

The woman took a wrench from her purse, loosened a couple of
bolts, and laid the pole down on the ground. Then she took a
tape measure from her pocketbook, took a measurement, announced,
“Twenty one feet, six inches,” and walked away.

The second engineer shook his head and laughed, “A lot of good
that does us. We ask for the height and she gives us the length!”
(Both engineers have since quit their engineering jobs and are
currently serving as elected members of Congress.)

I’ve gone over three different articles about antisemitism yet on these same news sources I found little if anything on Islamaphobia or even the acknowledgement of it’s ever present presence in Europe and America. I have, however, noticed the comments that are hateful towards Muslims.

It’s funny Michael Douglas claims he encountered antisemitism in Europe but I don’t have to look far in finding anti-Arab, Islamaphobia on the internet. I’ve also seen it in some of the classes I’ve attended from teachers and how they’ve shown their dislike towards those who are Muslim or of the Middle East.

    • March 16, 2015 at 12:35 pm

We are in times of Heightened Intolerance…bigotry and hatred, Jeff…

the good news is that people are fighting back against the onslaught…i hope that this will translate to more people voting in the elections…because it is the Congress and the state legislatures that pass laws that infringe upon the rights of others…and the person sitting in the oval office can vastly determine who sits on the bench that will interpret those laws…

      March ON!

        March 16, 2015 at 1:03 pm

Hope no one thinks that I mean that antisemitism doesn’t exist because it does. However, I don’t like the way that Michael Douglas and Goldberg fail to acknowledge that anti-Muslim sentiment is still extremely prevalent in US and European cultures. These two act as if they are the sole target and ignore the fact that white nationals/supremacists (some of which Bibi has allied himself with) have targeted Muslims even more so.

I remember that video where a guy goes to France dressed in traditional Middle Eastern garb and the scorn and hate that was leveled at him was enormous.
