cops made an arrest in Ferguson. I am left a little skeptical about everything and am left wondering about double standards by the media and the way the police conduct themselves.

Just got back in after running around. Chips, I assume ManU did elevate your spirits with their rout today while you know who barely eked out a tie against the Little Sisters of the Poor junior varsity team.

But Japa…..his backing is how many days later? After the public and many have resoundingly said that the #47Traitors were in_deed Treasonous?

Oh yeah, Manchin sticking his index finger in the air measuring the wind blow?

      I am shocked he wasn’t a signer…

He only votes as a Dem 52 % of the time.

      He is sickening.

I’m a blue dog Dem, and think Dems should recall the advice of Milt Shook, who tweeted stats in 2013 about how blue dogs like Blanche Lincoln were abhorrent to progressive Dems, but were reliable Dem votes on many issues. His tweet series concluded that it’s better to have a blue dog Dem in red states than a GOPer who can be certain to rarely side with Dems.

Recall too that Gabby Giffords was a blue dog.

Dem congresscritters/Senators reflect their voters, and Manchin case will always side with coal and guns — but recall his statements about guns after Sandy Hook, which affected him very deeply. If MSM didn’t have a blackout on reporting gun death/injuries stats in this country, there might be hope for some sanity in our gun laws.

I wanted to make a point. What we see happening in relationship to this President was absolutely necessary. We were ready to elect this President and we were ready to face that which has been exposed due to the presence of this President. Time and time again this President is proving that who he is and what he stands for is more powerful than that which opposes him and his ideas. The time for change has come. The monster that hides in the shadows is being exposed . To use basketball terms this President has forced them off their home court advantage and now they are floundering.
Is this a slow process? Possibly but not necessarily. Because we are now at a tipping point in human history due to the necessity for change brought about because the systems of the world are not addressing the needs of the people the potential for great and immediate change is present.
What I have said does not make the uncivilized reaction we have seen to this President in any way tolerable. It is in fact deeply and profoundly intolerable and that is very important because it is when something grows to the point of becoming intolerable it moves people out of a state of complacency and complacency is the worst evil because it lulls people into a condition of numbed indifference.

Thank you so much for quoting and linking this article. It’s one of the best I’ve read on the issue and it makes clear why our President felt the fierce urgency of “now.” The infection and infestation that has been corroding the foundation of our country and our democracy had to be brought into the light, so its ugliness could be fully exposed. President Obama has really been standing as the light in the darkness, bearing the brunt of the resistance, insults, and outright sabotage so that we could all see it and be so repulsed by it that we would actually be moved to action. I pray that we have the collective strength as a country to live up to his faith in us.

Thank you prettyfoot for linking this article. It is profound. It also has stark truths, and says very eloquently what I have been thinking and saying in minimalistic terms here. I am so glad to read this well written, cogent, passionate article. I have to agree with her arguments…..this had to happen, or we would have died as a country. His election has exposed the ugly, which ran under the surface, and that we pretended was not present. PBO is indeed the right man at the right time, as she says, both for the color of his skin and the content of his character.

but i fear that the Dem Party has not learned the lessons that the President has taught us…each of the midterms have shown us that the voting patterns of the electorate has not changed when it comes to voting…this is the challenge of the DEM Party,,,to organize and GOTV…

They’re not patriots in any sense of the word. They are anarchists and saboteurs, willing to destroy anything and everything to achieve their own ends.

Thank you for this posting, Dudette. Tears and chills.

TOD is keeping the bright shining moments on these videos alive everyday in the face of hideous opposition.
It is my personal mission. That no matter what is said or done to hurt President Barack Obama if I can and in any way I can I will stand with PBO and oppose the forces that look to hurt either his Presidency, his Administration or his Legacy going forward.

We are all doing this in our own lives it seems to me.

    • March 16, 2015 at 3:43 am

You know Don, just because the guy is black doesn’t necessarily mean that he was a protestor. I personally want to know more about the history of this individual. During the1960s, law enforcements, and in particular J. Edgar Hoover’s FBI, routinely paid some Black people to provoke violence to discredit non-violent Civil Rights protests and thus justify violent repression by law enforcements.

My sister just texted me that Condeleezza Rice will be speaking at Clark Atlanta University’s Founder’s Day event on March 19. That night Hitzville The Las Vegas Motown Show will be at the school. She just got back from Vegas. Says she’s glad she didn’t go to that show while she was there, cuz now she can see it at home. Secretary Rice, not so much. 🙂

DA Bob McCullough is still a Liar claiming shooter was part of protest.

Bishop Robinson says Williams was never a protester in Ferguson.

Chief Belmer is still a Liar….says shooter ambushed police and was part of the protest

Williams says he was robbed and was not shooting at police or protesters.

    My head is spinning.

I truly hope that this handsome Egyptian Doctor doesn’t get the Daily Show job as the host. He is currently a contributor. I don’t want his star diminished this fast.
If the Comedy Central wants to develop a totally different show for him….yes….but not to replace Jon Stewart. Haters and some will work for his demise. I want him to get to feel great and comfortable about Our Nation’s ability to be vitriol before spreading his talented wings.

Sue, I saw it too and loved it. It’s not just for kids, it’s fun and magical for everyone and a visual treat. The first theater we tried was sold out for two performances in a row. The second was packed. It was “hit” written all over it.

Interesting information coming out regarding this alleged shooter, Mr. Williams.

The FPD Chief can’t be dumb enough to try and pull a fast one – not with the DOJ and the whole world watching, but something is not adding up if people who have been in the protest from the beginning don’t recognize this dude, especially if he’s a Ferguson resident.

I can be okay if he really did commit the crime, as long as he’s not labeled as part of the Protesters. He can be a renegade all by himself.

      • March 16, 2015 at 3:59 am

“He can be a renegade all by himself.”

Exactly! He also may be a plant to discredit the non-violent protests. People need to revisit FBI’s Counter intelligence Program (COINTELPRO) of the 60s, which routinely paid some Blacks to instigate violence during non-violent protests so as to discredit Dr. MLK. I want to know more about the history/background of Mr. Jeffrey Williams.

President Obama’s comedic approach to the #47Traitors’ letter was remarkably similar to his take down of Trump. If I were one of the 47 Senators who signed that letter (& if I were John Boehner), I’d be very, very worried this Sunday afternoon ….

Pardon my French, but what the fuck does John Kerry have to apologize about? The disloyal opposition party (i.e., the GOP) is trying to sabotage peace talks, Cotton and the other 46 signatories to that stupid ass letter should be asked to apologize. GOP never has to take any responsibility. So long as the GOP looks out for the interests of the 1% to the exclusion of everyone else, the media will run interference and protect the GOP by muddying the water and attempting to fault the Dems in some way. The Owners are playing the American people for fools. The message is clear, if you work for the interests of the 1%, you are scandal proof. If you work for the benefit of the 99%, the media views you as the enemy and will strive to bring you down.
