If I can hear you chew, I have fantasized about your death.

Not sure if you’re still here, 99ts, but this cracked me up. I don’t think you’re a big fan of his (?), but I won’t mention the “bad breath” involved, just in case!

Good Lord – who in their right mind would be “a fan of his” – cannot remember a worse PM during my time on this earth. Even those who support his party aren’t too fond of the leaders of same.

Fortunately he may lose his job during the current term (by vopte of his party) – otherwise his party will definitely be a 1 term party.

I really thought our country was heading down the path of RW US – but in our last state election, the party that had won only 7 seats in the previous election, won 44 and formed government. I discovered there were many like me who will not vote for RW extremism. Abbott will face the same – our elections are every 3 years – so only 18 months to go 🙂 1 termer.

So before heading off to read for a bit I decided to share my favourite oldie, “Grandma Still Drives”, because it always makes me chuckle.

Grandma is eighty-eight years old and still drives her own car. She writes:

    Dear Granddaughter,
The other day I went up to our local Christian bookstore with your young cousin Brad and saw a ‘Honk if you love Jesus’ bumper sticker. I was feeling particularly sassy that day because I had earlier come from a thrilling choir performance, followed by a thunderous prayer meeting, so, I bought the sticker and put it on my bumper. Boy, am I glad I did! What an uplifting experience followed!

I was stopped at a red light at a busy intersection, just lost in thought about the Lord and how good he is, and I didn’t notice that the light had changed. I tell you, it is a good thing someone else there loved Jesus because if he hadn’t honked, I’d probably still be dreaming.

In fact, I’ve found that lots of people love Jesus! While lost in thought about the Lord, the guy behind me started honking like crazy, and then he leaned out of his window and screamed,

“For the love of God! Go! Go! Go! Jesus Christ, GOOOOOO!

What an exuberant cheerleader he was for Jesus! AND, lots of others started honking too!

I was so cheered I just leaned out my window and started waving and smiling at all those loving, exuberant Christians. I tell you, Granddaughter, I honked my horn a few times too to express my love.

You know, thinking of it as I write, there must have been a man from Florida back there behind me, because I heard him yelling something about a sunny beach. There was another guy waving in a funny way, with only his middle finger stuck up in the air. I asked your teenage cousin (who was in the back seat) what that meant.

He said it was probably a Hawaiian good luck sign or something. Well, I had never met anyone from Hawaii, so I leaned out the window and gave the guy the good luck sign right back. Loving Jesus sure could be fun!

Your cousin burst out laughing. Why, even he was enjoying this religious experience!

A couple of drivers were so caught up in the joy of the moment that they got out of their cars and started walking towards me. I bet they wanted to pray or ask what church I attended, but it was at this point I noticed the light had changed. So grinning happily I waved at all my brothers and sisters and drove on through the intersection.

I noticed that I was the only car that got through before the light changed again and felt kind of sad that I had to leave them after all the love we had shared. So, I slowed the car down, leaned out the window and gave them all the Hawaiian good luck sign one last time as I drove away.

Praise the Lord for such wonderful, friendly folks! These days not everyone is willing to share their love of Jesus so publicly!

    Will write again soon,

To share a little snippet would not do this piece justice. Read and pass this along.

I tried to find a quote – and discovered I agree 100% with your thought – one really has to read it all. As mentioned in the comments, there are many folks today who do not know what was done by Nixon to keep the war going to ensure his election.

In 2014 it is not to ensure one person’s election – rather they want a GOP President – all of ’em and any of ’em

I think Jim has outdone his best of the best with this one

Evening, 99ts:) I really thought you had to read all of this to get the entire experience. He is an excellent writer, but this is more than just a piece about those dangerous senators. This is a true history lesson that needs to be shared and absorbed.

This is why the GOP wants to control the history texts – the RW still try to influence history in Australia. Abbott (who has earned no title) thinks the most amazing day in Australia’s history was the day of white settlement! England sending their criminals, disaffected and poor to somehow survive in a harsh and unforgiving environment.

      • March 14, 2015 at 2:16 pm

Oh c’mon, I thought the phone call line made a pretty good pull quote.

“Republicans have made it clear that when you deal with America, you’re not dealing with a country or a government but with whoever happens to answer the goddamned phone.”

Thanks for your kind words // Jim/Stonekettle Station

I agree 1000%. i posted igt to several of the MSNBC show FB pages. I tweeted it, posted on my FB and google+ accounts. I think I mentioned here that their criminal letter was similar to Nixon’s sabotage of Paris Peace talks. And that shitstorm called Kissinger had a history of sabotaging Presidents before and after Nixon. And imagine he won a Nobel Peace Prize.

    • March 14, 2015 at 2:39 am

Lived through every single minute of this, day after day, and knew when Robert was assassinated that all hope was lost. I knew the moment my dear friend called me and told me the news of his death that Nixon would win and that the Vietnam war would go on and on and on.

So, if you have any doubt that I loath Cotton and his fellow traitors and, much more so, the kleptocrat war profiteers who own those #47Traitors …..

I really should not have read Jim’s essay tonight ……

        Good morning, Mr. Bobfr,
For some reason I thought about you after I read this even early this morning when I woke up.
I looked to see of you were still around after I read it just to make sure that you did.
It was very difficult sleeping……one of the worse nights in a long time.
I wanted you to use your tweet mastery to expose this, but this seems to be having a very profound effect on all of us who reads this.
I am getting angry and upset all over again, and I have a full day ahead.

How can those bastards rest who are still alive? Those who are dead must be tormented we all the blood on their hands.
And to think those vipers and hypocrites had the nerve to question POB receiving the Nobel Peace Prize as opposed to that “shitstorm” Henry Kiss-ass. The nerve. You would think the media would have mentioned this. Not a f—-ing word! That is why I am so angry. The true history we are learning from social media and these warmongers are still hitting the “Repeat” button.

It is important for these folks to be replaced…it is just as important who will be in charge and what changes they plan to make..there are some higher ups in the administration refute the findings of the Police Department…

    • March 14, 2015 at 7:50 am

Good morning, hf. Have good shopping trip. Early, isn’t it? 🙂 I’ve been awake since 4:40–arthritis in knee, but mostly the situation with our daughter’s marriage. If I wake up and get it on my mind, can’t shut it off. Need to go read what nanci said. I printed all the comments all of you shared, but her’s was so ‘spot on.’

Hope all have a good day. Have a District meeting today to get ready for our local convention to elect officers for our county Dems. I need to be doing things like this. Life goes on………..
