    Afternoon everyone!

I haven’t seen any indication at all that PBO will appear at today’s press briefing, but on the off-chance that he does: live video in the post

No! There are no contingency plans. President Obama got the car out the ditch and now if the Supremes rule against the ACA people expect him to get the car out the ditch again. Hell no!

        March 4, 2015 at 12:27 pm

Scalia is a miserable, sociopathic tool.

PBO’s answer is simple: fix the typo. I’ve always wondered if SCOTUS would kick it back to Congress to fix the language. What is good for our side: that we have Scalia’s own words to throw at the GOP: that Congress would fix such a disastrous result of a non-contextual reading of a statute.

Doesn’t matter to GOP. The court told them they could just fix the VRA by making some language changes for clarification purposes and you notice how much attention GOP paid to that.

I agree. I think some other Democrats need to get in this Presidential race. Hillary can implode.

    • March 4, 2015 at 12:42 pm

The other charming piece is that with this set-up, she gets to choose which emails are archived. LOLz.

        March 4, 2015 at 12:56 pm

How can someone who has been preparing to be President since 1999 be so stupid. For all of the talk from the Pumas and keyboard liberals, telling us how smart Hillary is, and how tough she is because of “all her experience,” she should have known the gop would be all over this.

        • 31 57andfemale
          March 4, 2015 at 2:19 pm

I have had serious questions about Hillary’s competence for a very long time. She was in the right place at the right time to be considered Presidential material, but is she really? she had a chance to match greatness with PBO in 2008, and she made a choice to crawl into the gutter. She has always been disorganized as an administrator.

To be so blind to what the GOP would look for is frankly terrifying.

We need to win in 2016. If she is truly inept and incapable of rising above her competition to inspire the rest of the country and prove we are in good hands, then let’s find someone who can do the job.

“she had a chance to match greatness with PBO in 2008, and she made a choice to crawl into the gutter. She has always been disorganized as an administrator. Let’s find someone who can do the job.”

lots of choices. Biden for one is my preference.

My oldest son was in a business in 2008 that provided services for campaigns. Hillary’s outfit stiffed them while Obama’s paid his bills promptly.

Netanyahu Speech Flops As Democratic Senators Withdraw Their Support For Iran Bill

If Hill Republicans thought Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s Tuesday address would build broad support for having Congress review any nuclear deal with Iran, they thought wrong.

By the end of the day Tuesday, key Democratic senators had pulled their support for just such a bill after Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) announced he was fast-tracking the legislation, bringing it to the Senate floor for debate as soon as next week, short-circuiting committee deliberations that Democrats say are necessary to perfect it.

  12. March 4, 2015 at 12:39 pm

~I actually think that Yglesias’ argument about “both sides” is dangerous. As Republicans continue to take unprecedented steps against Democrats – like impeachment over a sex scandal, requiring that the first African American president produce his birth certificate, taking the country to the brink of economic disaster over raising the debt ceiling, requiring that any legislation in the Senate garner a super-majority to pass, and bringing in a foreign leader to speak to Congress specifically to undermine our President’s foreign policy – we need to be clear about where the problem lies if we are going to have any chance of solving it.~

Been trying to catch up on all the threads. Love the way the repugs got their asses handed to them yesterday. Hopefully, the SCOTUS will pile on today with a defeat for King, which looks likely.

Hopefruit and I expressed views yesterday that Team Clinton had leaked the e-mail story in order to get airtime. A PR stunt. The usual “defending and distancing” DINOS taking center stage to defend Lady Walmart.

    By Zeus!!!!

The last WH question raised by a toddler about whether or not the WH would help Traitor Edward Snowden return because “he wants to return home” made me cry out loud. Josh’s answer was on the spot: This Administration would like to see Mr. Snowden return and will see that the full force of the law is applied (paraphrasing here).

House committee to subpoena e-mails from Clinton’s personal account

A House investigative committee is preparing to send out subpoenas later today to gather a deeper look into former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s nearly exclusive use of personal e-mails to do her official business as the government’s top diplomat, according to people familiar with the probe.

      Readying the popcorn!

    • March 4, 2015 at 2:28 pm

Well the @GOP finally found Hillary’s #BlueDress and they are going to rip it to shreds from now until she either decides not to run (her best option) or for however long she hangs on as a candidate ….

BTW, the lapse of judgement and sheer arrogance of doing what she did is, rules or no rules, reveals the Clinton penchant for ‘above the law.’

If you’ll also note that Josh emphasized the critical role that VP Biden is playing in Iraq with regular phone calls to the Iraqi prime minister. I don’t think these references to Biden are accidental. I think the push is on to put Biden front and center as the logical person to step into the White House in 2016. You can be sure our vice president obeys every law in the book when it comes to e-mail security and he doesn’t have an international organization that accepts foreign $$$s.

All these fluff pieces (who cares what she did) about Hillary at this point – the year before the election – are all the more reason why she should not be the Dem candidate in 2016. The GOP hates the Clintons and, unfortunately, both seem to have left loose ends wherever they went. We need a clean candidate who will KEEP the White House for WE THE PEOPLE, because we cannot return to a Republican president … we have living proof of Murphy’s Law in the latter case.

They hated Bill when he was Arkansas governor, and both of them the first time he ran for president, and that’s never changed. So, yeah, who needs to bring all that back up again? No, thanks.,

I am pretty sure that there is a doctor on the roster of Obamacare for this sort of disease or “disorder” magnitude.

Or maybe, that’s what one does when one knows that the moment of capitulation is near. 😉
