She’s a very impressive young woman who has an extraordinary future ahead of her. I hope she can handle the emotional/social pressure of being in college at such a young age. That will be harder than the curriculum.

😆 I covered a pillow with a blanket today so that when he inevitably hopped up on the bed for a nap it would be protected. I go in to the room a while later and the blanket is on the floor, and his head is on the pillow. It’s the guest room, so when you visit that’ll be your pillow. Just warning you.

    GE TODville,

“According to several officials who have been briefed on the report’s conclusions, the report criticizes the city for disproportionately ticketing and arresting African-Americans and relying on the fines to balance the city’s budget. The report, which is expected to be released as early as this week, will force Ferguson officials to either negotiate a settlement with the Justice Department or face being sued by it on civil rights charges. Either way, the result is likely to be significant changes inside the Ferguson Police Department, which is at the center of a national debate over race and policing.”

NO legislators in my world draw boundaries. We did have a state government gerrymander (rules stated that country districts had less people than city districts) but this was removed c. 1990. We have electoral commissions that draw the boundaries – definitely non-partisan

Disgusting what the GOP does to ensure their divine right to rule. This is no democracy – aided and abetted by the SCOTUS.

You know it’s SICK when our National Security Council has to issue a statement like this ….

Love the fact that they use Twitter to do so!!!

Hi, Df, I’ve been here for a while. Drop in, wander off, and then come back. So far the morning door is closed. I just learned that this Sunday, March 8, is the daylight savings time change. Do you that in your neck of the woods?

Morning, jackieg! Glad that someone is here to talk to:) Usually I am not the first one posting in the morning….sleepy heads:)
No, we don’t change our clocks here…only the Navajo Reservation does but not the entire state…nice not to have to run and change all the clocks but it doesn’t stay light at night as long as I’d like it to…of course at 5am the sun is up. Backwards to me, but whatever!

To read with your morning coffee/tea/Monster

    http://blogs.reuters.com/great-debate/2015/03/01/netanyahu-invite-is-a-symptom-of-boehners-grudge-match-against-the-u-s-constitution/

House Speaker John Boehner’s annoyance with President Barack Obama is turning into a grudge match against the Constitution.

His decision to invite a foreign head of government to address Congress without first consulting the sitting president has no precedent in American history. And for a simple reason. It’s unconstitutional.

Boehner (R-Ohio) fully admits that his failure to communicate with the White House was not an oversight. Like a schoolboy passing notes when the teacher turns to the blackboard, he sneaked behind Obama’s back to set the date for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s speech with his country’s ambassador to the United States. Boehner asked the foreign dignitary not to tell the U.S. president.

Ladies and gentlemen…your third in line.
