Clearly, President Reagan’s views in that debate, about the separation of church and state, would not sit well with the current right wingers dominating the Republican party.

Are people just beginning to realize that O’Reilly is nutty? The whole darn bunch over there at Fox is.

57, I read your ordeal with your finger. I hate sharp knives. I know everybody says a sharp knife is safer, but I use an old standby that I’ve used for years. If might take longer to get the job done, but the damage to me won’t be as bad.

I’m glad you have the ACA. A few years ago, my son was starting on a new job and didn’t have insurance. Long story short. He broke his finger playing basketball. The bone had to be aligned, and a pin put in. Cost me & hubby over $5000. It would have cost more but the Orthopedic surgeon actually wouldn’t take all the money. He was a really great guy. I sent him a huge fruit and goodie basket. Never before have I known a doctor to say “you’ve paid enough”.

When I had to have cataract surgery and pay for it out of pocket, a lot of doctors quoted me the “retail” price. I finally went to a doctor who had come highly recommended and he charged me the “discount price” which is what the insurance company pays. He saw no reason to jack me up to more than he would have received from an insurance company anyway. It was half the price. It broke his heart that he couldn’t do the extra procedure that would have given me perfect vision. I will forever be grateful to him. People who bitch about ACA have never had to live in the private health care market. ACA is not prfect but it is a major first step. Hope your son is now doing okay.

Our LL said it, best, factually and predicted it.
I do ❤ it that a number of Journos are at least calling out Fox……a task they should have all been doing since 1996.

    Congrats Don 🙂

“Leaked cables show Netanyahu’s Iran bomb claim contradicted by Mossad
Gulf between Israeli secret service and PM revealed in documents shared with the Guardian along with other secrets including CIA bids to contact Hamas

Binyamin Netanyahu’s dramatic declaration to world leaders in 2012 that Iran was about a year away from making a nuclear bomb was contradicted by his own secret service, according to a top-secret Mossad document.

It is part of a cache of hundreds of dossiers, files and cables from the world’s major intelligence services – one of the biggest spy leaks in recent times.

Brandishing a cartoon of a bomb with a red line to illustrate his point, the Israeli prime minister warned the UN in New York that Iran would be able to build nuclear weapons the following year and called for action to halt the process.

But in a secret report shared with South Africa a few weeks later, Israel’s intelligence agency concluded that Iran was “not performing the activity necessary to produce weapons”. The report highlights the gulf between the public claims and rhetoric of top Israeli politicians and the assessments of Israel’s military and intelligence establishment.”

    And, then there’s this ….

    Good Afternoon, Everybody.

I’m home. I’m out of the hospital. They checked off all the big serious stuff on the bad list, and I have to go see my primary doctor tomorrow. I need to rest and not let things stress me out. For the first time stress has manifested itself in my body and affected me….guess it’s part of getting older.

Thank you for all your prayers. I felt them.
