Morning silly people! I got my crate back for the dog, and I slept like a baby last night. So did the dog. She loves her crate and was a happy and calm camper last night:) Yippee!!

Df, I’m so glad you found the answer to her restlessness. She was probably anxious in a new home and needed the safety of a crate. Hope you and she have a good day.

I think so, jackie:) New house, new people, new routine, new rules, new name…yada yada. She gets more acclimated each day and has lots of visitors from my friends that want to meet her:) She loves new friends:) Grea.t in her crate. Good news all around

    • February 18, 2015 at 7:36 am

everything’s fine now:) On Monday we went down to Tucson to pick her up and that night, she and I were both awake all night long. I didn’t trust that she wouldn’t do something bad to the house and she was restless and unsure. Literally awake every moment of that night. Work the day was painful. But, got her crate last night ( a friend had borrowed mine) and she slept like a baby in her crate…all night long. In fact, she’s STILL sleeping in there with my husband snoring away…..good dog:) Less stressful last night. Now if I could only get this cat/dog situation fixed….it would be great.

That is great DF. I think my next dog is going to be crate trained. I didn’t do that with Megan, she slept with me once she was cleared from any disease. I had to really watch out for her she was only the size of my fist. 🙂

Absolutely, Roberta! I just keep them in there at night or when I’ll be gone a little long from home…they should live in there…but they know that its their private space….good for everyone!

Sorry to hear it has taken that long. I haven’t caught up on all the threads yet so missed a lot yesterday. It’s not fun being with heat. Hope you will be warm & toasty tonight.

So Matt Damon was a guest in the White House and treated graciously by PBO, then turns around and knifes him in the back with criticisms about his job performance. I haven’t been able to tolerate him or watched a Matt Damon movie since then.

    • February 18, 2015 at 7:52 am

Exactly – I was soooooo tempted to crop the pic and remove him!!

      • 74 jackiegrumbacher
        February 18, 2015 at 7:58 am

Oh, I think it was useful to see how hypocritical the little worm is. The mystery is how PBO can remain so gracious to everyone. But if he can stand being in the same room with Netanyahu and Putin, he can probably flick little Matt right off his shoulder.

      damon whines???? hoocuddathunk?

    • February 18, 2015 at 8:08 am

BTW, this WH event (2014) appeared to have taken place AFTER Damon criticized the President. This is how gracious our President is…he doesn’t hold grudges. And lil’ Matt seems damn happy to be in PBO’s presence…perhaps that’s what the griping was about in the first place – that he hadn’t gotten one of those highly coveted “invites!”

      • February 18, 2015 at 8:54 am

Chipsticks, it would not had bother me one bit if you had left Matt Damon out of the picture.

      • 79 EricFive
        February 18, 2015 at 11:33 am

All of Damon’s criticism of PBO were timed for when he had a movie coming out. It was an attempt to get free press and we all know the guaranteed way to get access to the microphone is to talk shit about PBO. This strategy has failed Damon because all those movies were flops.

Ukraine’s president says his forces are making an “organised” withdrawal from the strategic town of Debaltseve, under siege by rebel forces.

well, he is living up to his promise.

This is terrible news. I fear for Ukraine and its people. Putin won’t stop. Period. He will push and push until he plows through Ukraine and threatens Eastern Europe. Threats by Cameron for more sanctions don’t matter one whit to Putin. He feels invincible.

#WinterinOneWeek. Hi, everybody. Thank you for being an oasis on the internet right now.
Thankfully I’m warm, but tomorrow morning it’s going to be -7F. Normally, I wouldn’t be too concerned, but I have to go out tomorrow for an important errand. It was predicted snow showers, now we have 3 inches and falling.

    • February 18, 2015 at 8:16 am

Morning Carol! I’m shivering just reading your weather forecast, yikes. Keep warm!

      • February 18, 2015 at 8:37 am

Thanks, chips. I’m listening to the tv weather, and it’s getting worse. Some people are already saying it’s worse than Monday, when we got 5 inches in 12 hours. This apparently is snowing faster and heavier, but soon to taper off and end. But it hasn’t been above freezing since last week, so this is on top of what we already have on the ground. Snow plowing is fighting almost in vain at times. And there’s ice beneath.

Kirby is staying upstairs in the loft with me. He usually sleeps in the closet, but gave up on the closet this morning and is staying upstairs on the bed. I hope he finds it warm enough for the next couple of days.

It’s going to be worse Friday morning. It’s predicted to be -10F. Then the next day it is supposed to be 22 in the morning, 34 in the after noon-but snowing.

UN envoy to Syria Staffan de Mistura says Damascus is prepared to suspend its aerial bombardment of Aleppo for six weeks for a trial ceasefire.

Mr de Mistura said the Syrian pledge offered a glimmer of hope although it is unclear when it would take effect.

The opposition Syrian National Council says the government will be judged by actions rather than words.

Government forces have been engaged in heavy fighting as they try to cut a crucial rebel supply route.

More than 100 soldiers and rebels were reported to have been killed on Tuesday as the army captured several villages north of the city.

Good morning all. Sorry the east coast is so cold. We are having record highs here in Arizona. This 80 degree weather may be beautiful now, but it will be a scorching summer. I feel so sorry for our desert animals. There is very little water to be had.

Chips and AMK, thanks for another entertaining episode of the Chips and AMK morning show. It gets me going every morning!

You got it, Africa. We need to be taking names and letting them have it. As long as any Dems enter that chamber, I will not give to the DSCC or the DCCC. Individual candidates who prove their worth–yes.

I am beyond sickened at this. Being a student and knowing a NUMBER of Iranians I can honestly state that the people of Iran are great people and are treated with contempt by others due to their nationality. This goes against everything America is supposed to stand for!

Jeff, I hope the students organize a class action suit against UMass. This is completely discriminatory and the university should not be allowed to get away with it. First call–the ACLU. Second call–the US Justice Department Civil Rights division. People have to fight back.

VP Biden…Gov O’Malley….Hillary Clinton…no other names as candidates have emerged from the DEM Party….i had hoped that after the Mid terms…folks would begin their journey for the WH….even the presumptive nominee has yet to launch her campaign…although she is gathering former Obama aides to her campaign…in hopes that the fairy dust will sprinkle on her….what she does not realize is that it was not failry dust…it was Barack Obama…

    and the band plays on….
