It is totally wonderful. Our POTUS has to be having a great time as the lovely weather greets him daily during this visit.
Chips, I would personally greet you with your favorite early morning drink and my Danny’s favorite sipping of his great liquid every morning of your stay out here with us. The weather out here is deliciously gorgeous for him during this visit. Wonderfully beautiful!. Perfect weather for one of his favorite games of enjoyment and the refreshment and regrouping of his thoughts as he works and relaxes during this visit. He soooooooooooooooooooo deserves the weather and time. Weather wise, we really did roll out the red carpet for our beloved POTUS. May this be a wonderful visit for him in this beautiful land of America.HZ
Good morning all! I haven’t been following closely on this so can someone clarify the reason for the trip west for POTUS this past weekend? It seems he might be using this house in Arizona as an alternative to Camp David?

For the last three or four years during the President’s holiday week-end FLOTUS and the girls has gone to Aspen to ski, as POTUS has gone to Palm Spring for his golf.
President Obama isn’t in Arizona. He’s in California. He usually travels west (California) during President’s Day for meetings with foreign leaders for foreign policy discussions. Then he visits the golf course after the meetings are concluded, so he can relax. He was in California this year for a cybersecurity summit.
PBO attended a Cyber security summit at Stanford and had a fundraiser.

Okay, the door is closed (since I don’t want any animals to think they are invited inside) and the birds that generally hang out here are away on a trip. 😀 Really, there’s absolutely no need for you to brag because your birds cannot afford to travel, or don’t know how.

When Jennifer Hibben-White learned that she and her newborn son Griffin may have been exposed to measles, she didn’t take it quietly. It made her angry — “angry as hell” — and she wanted everyone to know it.
The Toronto-area mom took to Facebook and her story quickly went viral; as of Thursday night, it’s been shared more than 275,000 times. She posted a photo of Griffin and wrote:
This is my son Griffin, and he may have measles.
On February 9th, I received a phone call from York Region Public Health, informing me that Griffin, alongside my mother and I, was potentially exposed to the measles virus while attending a newborn weigh-in appointment at my doctor’s office in Markham on January 27th.
Griffin was 15 days old at the time.

Report: Netanyahu Might Have Leaked Details Of U.S.-Iran Nuclear Talks
U.S. officials suspect Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu authorized leaking details of U.S. nuclear negotiations with Iran to Israeli journalists, according to The Washington Post’s David Ignatius.
Concerns that Israeli officials had leaked key details about those negotiations, including that the U.S. offered to let Iran enrich uranium with “6,500 or more centrifuges as part of a final deal,” has prompted the U.S. to limit the amount of sensitive information it exchanges with Israel about the Iran nuclear negotiations, Ignatius reported.
White House spokesman Alistair Baskey, Ignatius noted, denied a report on Sunday by Israel’s Channel 2 news that the Obama administration had completely cut communications with Israel on the Iranian talks.
White House officials suggested that those reports were actually misleading, as centrifuge numbers in the negotiations are part of a larger package that also includes Iran’s nuclear stockpile and what type of centrifuges Iran would be allowed to operate, according to Ignatius.

Prosecutors: Jewish woman beaten, harassed in conversion attempt
BOISE — A Boise woman is facing felony charges after police say she attacked a Jewish acquaintance, stomping on the woman’s neck as part of a bizarre bid to convert her to Christianity.
Margurite Dawn Haragan, 58, has been charged with two counts of malicious harassment in an attack police have labeled a hate crime.
Prosecutors say the incident started when Haragan showed up at the victim’s home Feb. 5. It’s not clear how the two women know each other.
“The defendant was banging on the front window yelling at her that she better believe in Jesus and she was not going to leave until she did believe in Jesus,” Ada County Prosecutor Dave Roscheck said. He said the victim, identified in court only as “A.G.,” opened her door to tell Haragan to leave and to write down her license plate number.
That’s when the suspect slapped her in the face and dragged her to the ground by her hair, Roscheck said.
“The defendant began kicking the victim in the stomach and thigh area,” he said. “During this time the defendant was screaming at the victim that she better accept Jesus or she would not let up.”

A man from South Africa, where people drive on the left side of the road, couldn’t break that habit on Owl Creek Road on Sunday morning and caused a head-on collision, said Snowmass Village’s police chief.
No one was injured, but the accident closed the road – minutes before first lady Michelle Obama, her daughters and their Secret Service motorcade drove through en route to Two Creeks for their second day of skiing.
“They had to go around the accident this morning,” said Police Chief Brian Olson.

Dispatchers have announced that the towns of Adena Village and Boomer Bottom are being evacuated because of a nearby train derailment.
3:00 pm
Water intakes in Montgomery and Cedar Grove have been closed because of the train accident along the Kanawha River. That is according to the West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources Bureau for Public Health.
It is confirmed that the train was carrying crude oil, some of which spilled into the Kanawha River. While the intakes are closed, customers are urged to conserve water. The Montgomery Water System is part of West Virginia American Water Co.
Two entire towns evacuated, yet the lead story was an annoying female reporter complaining about the cold weather (not sure if she was in Boston or NYC, that’s how lousy reporting is these days).
The closing story was about a woman who has set the world’s record for catching bridal bouquets, which annoyed the heck of me for so many reasons.
Our media is truly an abomination.
