Ukraine conflict: Putin shakes hands with Poroshenko as talks begin.

Has the hand shaking thingy has changed while I was asleep drinking?

    • February 11, 2015 at 1:41 pm

Meeting still underway, though in the only photos in the room that I’ve seen, show a President Poroshenko who is clearly not pleased.

Fact is that if the Ukrainians are willing to adopt a protracted war strategy they can defeat Putin and also enable Central Asia’s “stans” to break out. Putin’s military is already stretched paper thin and his economy is in the toilet. He should never have gone on this adventure.

As you can see, the Maidan folk in Ukraine aren’t thrilled ….

In any case, Obama’s certainly not the first person to lodge this particular complaint against Dowd, that she is excessively interested in psychoanalyzing political figures while neglecting what it is they’re actually advocating, that, in her own words, she “focuses too much on the person but not enough on policy.”

’nuff said. a barbara walter wanna be.

I seriously doubt POTUS hates anybody.

That requires energy he is not going to waste…especially on this woman.

Also not falling for the “why are you friends with her?” comment. That sounds like kids in 3rd grade.

I agree…maybe Axe had to put something stupid in his book about PBO before they would publish it. Even if he did say it was probably said in jest.

Know what, NoSpin? I see this question (if it was asked) more as ‘What do you see in her?’ or ‘On what level do you communicate with her?’ – IOW an honest request for Axelrod to say what *he* sees in this creature that Barack has missed.

Montana state representative wants to outlaw yoga pants in public

Republican (of course) state Rep. David Moore from Missoula is spending his lawmaking hours on super important stuff these days. Like, for example, he saw a bunch of naked cyclists and it really bugged him so now he’s introduced House Bill 365, which expands the indecent exposure law already on the books.

The proposal would expand indecent exposure law to include any nipple exposure, including men’s, and any garment that “gives the appearance or simulates” a person’s buttocks, genitals, pelvic area or female nipple.

The Republican from Missoula said tight-fitting beige clothing could be considered indecent exposure under his proposal.

He also thinks yoga pants should be illegal.

“Yoga pants should be illegal in public anyway,” Moore said after the hearing.

Republican idea of “small govt”…ok to tell you how to dress, who to love, what religion you can be, make your healthcare decisions for you……maybe they all need tiny dictionaries to go with the tiny Constitutions they think they own….

Hmmmm those tweets from Khamenei don’t sound too hopeful but one Obama admin accomplishment is reestablishing direct talks with Iran at the highest levels. That in itself is very useful to keep the countries from warring.

I must say in seeing the daily headlines that the US is by far the most trigger happy country in the world; look at our history of wars in nearly every generation since the country was formed and now with 300 million guns in the US the slightest disagreement with another person forebodes the real possibility of being shot. It sickens me that we hold ourselves to be the moral authority in the world while having a most heinous record of slavery and murder and war. If it hadn’t been for FDR and World War II we wouldn’t have ANY standing in the world.

Immigration activists stage protests in offices of more than 35 GOP congressional members

Immigrant activists and allies call on Congress to stop the attacks and come up with a real solution for our broken immigration system

Since Republicans took charge of both the House and Senate, their only attempt to govern has been to hold multiple votes attacking immigrant families and to repeal the President’s immigration action.

Right now, hundreds of activists are protesting inside the Capitol Hill offices of Republican 2016 hopefuls, leadership, and outspoken anti-immigrant leaders.

“Republicans have engaged in ceaseless attacks on hardworking immigrant families,” said CASA de Maryland President Gustavo Torres. “When our children vote in 2016 they will not forget the party that sought to destroy their parents.”

Just watched the President’s speech on the ongoing ebola battle. Hmmmmm, so much for another “katrina” moment. Wonder if dimwit Mark Knoller has kept track of just how many “katrina” moments this president has faced and conquered:-) I’d love to know, but it has to be more than 50 by now!
