Good Morning TOD Family. Have a wonderful day. Going back to read the Brian Williams stuff. Reminds of Hillary in 2008 exaggerating her getting fired upon in Bosnia.

Good Thursday morning TOD ~ love this picture so much, that young boy’s face fills my heart… POTUS had to be melting inside.. 🙂 Have a good day. As to BriWi.. not surprised any “journalist” would lie to boost his cred, as I recall he has not always been truthful about our President.. I say this not remembering exactly what he has said, just a recollection that he hasn’t always given the facts on POTUS.

You’re right Sheri, he doesn’t have a good record when it comes to POTUS. Like all the other well-paid corporate-owned broadcasters, he toes the company line about PBO.

Twitter’s chief executive Dick Costolo has admitted that the company “sucks” when it comes to dealing with abuse and trolling on the service.

In a memo to staff, leaked to tech news website the Verge, he said that bullying behaviour on the network was driving users away.

He promised tougher action to deal with abusers.

A series of high-profile users have quit Twitter in recent months, citing online abuse.

In his memo to staff, Mr Costolo wrote: “We suck at dealing with abuse and trolls on the platform and we’ve sucked at it for years.

“It’s no secret that the rest of the world talks about it every day. We lose core user after core user by not addressing simple trolling issues that they face every day.”

His words echo a December blog post in which the company admitted that it “was nowhere near being done making changes in this area”.

It promises that, in coming months, it will bring in further user controls and improvements in the way users can report abusive accounts. ^..^

      Thanks for posting, amk.

      This is such good news.

I know you gave up Twitter, but I love Twitter, (coming from someone who is naturally inclined late-adopter).

I love everything about it (brevity, range, diversity, truth, news, etc.) except the uncivilized troll tweets.

Glad to see this from @dickc — I’m a firm believer in the 1st amendment, but I also believe in the Golden Rule — do unto others and you would have them do unto you.

Senator Bob Graham a Democrat from Florida was chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee and a leader of the investigation into the 9/11 attacks. Especially on the matter of who funded the attacks.

Large amounts of information were discovered and promptly re-dacted (kept from public view.)

Senator Graham retired and wrote a “novel” about 9/11 which incorporated the publicly withheld info he had seen. VERY persuasive.

Today the NY Times has as its lead front page story the news that Thomas Lynch a Dem representative from MA is leading a bipartisan effort to declassify All of the 9/11 report.

The finger is pointed now as it was then squarely at Saudi Arabia as the chief funder of terrorism 9/11 and subsequently.

Yes, several stories about Saudi Link to Al-Qaeda have occupied the prime @NYTimes homepage (upper left corner) for the past 12 hours or so, so will surely be a hot topic within DC echo-chamber MSM.

Nato is due to reveal details of a plan to strengthen its military presence in Eastern Europe amid intensified fighting in Ukraine.

The bloc’s chief says it will be the biggest reinforcement of its collective defence since the end of the Cold War.

Meanwhile, US Secretary of State John Kerry is to hold talks in Kiev as the US considers whether to send weapons to help Ukraine fight pro-Russian rebels.

The US has so far only provided “non-lethal” assistance to Ukraine.

Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi has ordered a night-time curfew in place in Baghdad for years to be lifted beginning on Saturday.

The announcement came after Mr Abadi was briefed by security services.

Iraq has long used curfews to try to curb violence, and analysts say the latest move marks a major policy shift.

While Baghdad is still hit by regular suicide bombings, the threat to the capital from Islamic State (IS) militants is viewed to have subsided.

Iraq’s army is battling IS militants who have seized large swathes of territory outside of Baghdad.

      • 56 arapaho415

MSM love anything that hints at war — their WH questions and tweets are practically orgasmic (in a highly uninformed and unprofessional way) when they have the opportunity to ask/tweet about Ukraine, Russia and the Middle East.

So much about Savannah Guthrie’s interview with the President pissed me off, but she didn’t bother to do the slightest research — she grilled PBO on the situation in Yemen about the Houthis and AQAP without bothering to inform her Super Bowl viewers that the Houthis are the avowed enemies of AQ (i.e., Shiite vs. Sunni).

Vice President Joe Biden is the only one in the field positioned to be President in 2017. The only one with the right temperment and right judgment.

      • February 5, 2015 at 1:45 pm

Joe Biden is definitely the most qualified. If people are looking for a progressive who is a compassionate champion of the middle class (and is not a multi-millionaire who is distant from understanding middle class issues), who deeply understands and engages in foreign policy, who fully understands Congress, who is a tireless advocate for women and children, he is standing right in front of us.

A senior al-Qaeda militant has been killed by a US drone strike in the south of the country, the group has said in a Twitter posting.

Sheikh Harith al-Nadhari was among four people killed in the 31 January strike in Shabwa province. There have been at least three such strikes this year.

Al-Nadhari recently appeared in an al-Qaeda video praising January’s attack on French magazine Charlie Hebdo.

He was among the group’s few public faces and had threatened more attacks.

I put my shoes in a convenient place to put them on after I take off my boots. No shoes. I start searching for the shoes. I finally find one (never did find the other) at the opposite side of the living room. I swear I am not making this up: He put one of his stuffed toys – a lion – on top of the show, with a paw pointing at me as if to say, “I dare you to take it.” Mr. 57 said he was busy all day, rearranging the toys.

You know, I have been thinking about the Brian Williams Iraq lie and the more I thought the madder I got. This overpaid, college drop out actually lied that he was fired upon in a war zone to inflate his own ego. As a “journalist”. He has one job. Read the news his corporate puppet masters give to him. In my book he has lost ALL credibility and integrity and should be fired. I just called NBC Nightly News and asked why he is not being terminated from his position. Response: “no comment”. If you agree he should go call 212-664-4971 and tell them!

GM all. I know a lot of people think the President (any President) should not attend the National Prayer Breakfast and I understand the reasoning. But, I have to say, President Obama has always used this event as an opportunity to attempt to open people’s eyes. Today he is doing so in a really big way.

        Amen.
Our President is a man of faith who practices what he preaches. He prays.he reads devotional Scriptures daily. He quotes Scriptures.
He is a Christian. He believes in Prayer.
He is not ashamed of his faith.
I look forward to this day with our President.

There are a lot of people who are praying for our First Family every single day (myself included). Continuously praying……
If you do not believe in prayer, it is hard for you to pray.
I dare not judge anyone who attends National Prayer Day. Their actions usually speaks for themselves.
Thank You, Mr. President for being true to who YOU are.

    Morning All!

Brian Williams is such a pig. How disrespectful to all the men and women who’s lives are under fire day in and day out in every war this country has fought. Hillary too. As a person who like many of you have war veterans in my family, this enrages me.

Our President really knows how to take an opportunity to educate and enlighten.

Looking forward to reading Reggie Love’s book, but can you imagine the book the President will write when the time comes? Gives me chills thinking about it.
