THe LCP are certainly trying to deal – the local paper (Murdoch) is already supporting them. One of the seats won by Labor may have to be a do over (3rd party candidate was not eligible to be a candidate). If labor were to lose that looking at 43:43

The “brownie” reference was because I like chocolate and I was leaving off the “points” part to make my point … and I gave up said chocolate for the entire month of January, less one day. So, now, everything chocolate is catching my eye!

We are walking together tonight, but we are not in synch at all. My last bit of muttering related to the actual origin/meaning of the expression ‘brownie points’. At least that was the intent in my mind – can’t see what I actually wrote right now, and am not even going to try until after I sleep and wake up.

It strikes me that the current clash over the outbreak of measles with the “rights” of parents to not vaccinate their children is a perfect demonstration of what Rev. Martin Luther King said back in 1965.
We are all caught in an inescapable network of mutuality, tied in a single garment of destiny. And what affects one directly affects all indirectly.
This is where the conservative argument that freedom is only about individual freedom breaks down. If my child’s health is affected by your decision about whether or not to vaccinate your child, we really do live in an “inescapable network of mutuality.”
President Obama spoke about this mutuality on a global scale during his speech in Cairo back in 2009. ……………………….. //
