I’ve been listening to all of you, TOD.

You know how much I respect VP Biden and that I consider him an incredibly well prepared next President and a President who will expand President Obama’s extraordinary accomplishments.

You also know my deep respect for Senator Warren and that I think she would be an outstanding President and it would be great if she were our first female President.

You also know how much I wish Ambassador Power had been born of an American citizen. She would be an outstanding President.

But, as noted, I’ve been listening and have spent time reviewing several folk not least of whom is Governor Patrick. I could not imagine a starker contrast than Governor Patrick v Governor Walker. Make no mistake the Kochs’ boy is Scott Walker and, baring an indictment and prosecution, they will buy the nomination for him. Kicking Mitt to the curb was the warning to Jeb and others to not waste their time.

    In that context ….

The symmetry of DNC 2004 and 2012 is dully noted, btw.

This place is so quiet, I’m going to find a real book to read. Surest way to help me fall asleep. Toodle-di-doo.

Ah one of my favorite poets! My Dad gave me my first book of poems and it was a collection of Langston Hughes’ poems. Thank you for posting! When my Dad passed 6 yrs ago, I read his favorite Langston Hughes poem at his memorial which is below:

        Dream Variations

        To fling my arms wide
In some place of the sun,
        To whirl and to dance
Till the white day is done.
        Then rest at cool evening
        Beneath a tall tree
        While night comes on gently,
        Dark like me—
        That is my dream!

        To fling my arms wide
In the face of the sun,
        Dance! Whirl! Whirl!
Till the quick day is done.
        Rest at pale evening . . .
        A tall, slim tree . . .
        Night coming tenderly
        Black like me.
