Chips, just want to say that we are the luckiest people in the US for going on these trips with our President. You always give us a real time sense of what’s happening and it’s as close to being there as possible. None of us take this for granted because we know how hard it is to bring these great events to us and keep us informed. It’s a gift delivered daily and in case we forget to say it, Thank You, a million times over.

Jackie, you’re a sweetheart, thank you sooooooooo much!!

gm Jackie – endorsing your remarks 1000 times – not to mention that Chip’s mathematics of time worked perfectly for this trip!

    • January 25, 2015 at 9:04 am

YES, absolutely. And it’s great fun with all you fellow travelers. We witness such greatness on all these trips, it’s stunning, really.

Afternoon Jackie (my part of the world). Congrats on #1 and you said a mouth full. Absolutely NO where else can we find such complete coverage of the President’s trips, but here at TOD.

Thank you, thank you, thank you, Ms. Chips!

Thank you Jackie for saying what we all feel. We are so lucky. I so feel sorry for the rest of the country. They have no idea what is going on in the world that is good news for us.

    Good morning Ms. Chips
Thank you for this wonderful post!
We would never know this is happening if you were not here.
I feel sad and disgusted that this is not reported so that everyone can experience this historical trip.
    Thank you.

    Good morning TOD.
Thank you to Chips for the extremely wonderful coverage of The President’s trip to India. I am in the process of catching up.

We are the lucky ones. We have not succumbed to the sour cynicism of the WHPC and those who listen to them
We see President Obama through clear eyes and so we can marvel at his grace and beauty.
We are able to celebrate his accomplishments and successes without the ugly miasma of RW bias and hate.

This trip, where we see Our President placing his hands in prayer position and saying “namaste” is no surprise.
We recall PBO’s stated wish was that he could speak all languages.

PBO is eager to enter the world of the people he meets. Open mind, beginners mind, open heart.
This is in stark contrast to US bullies who demand that the way they see things is the only way that matters.

We have a rare treasure in PBO. History will see that.

or, to put it another way—This is the same man who posed happily in a tiara with a group of young girls.

A blessed Sunday morning to entire TOD family. Thank you Ms Chips for taking us to every habitable continent on this planet with our most esteemed leader, Honourable Barack Obama – Asia, Africa, Europe, South and North America and Australia. We do appreciate you bringing the world into our homes. You and the bts are simply awesome.

Good Sunday morning!! Was catching up on all the things that I missed:) Chips, I agree totally with jackieg….we are so grateful to you for allowing us to go around the world with our President:) We couldn’t do this without you! Much love and thanks. Always.

  10. January 25, 2015 at 9:41 am

Good Morning Chips & TOD family!
I want to second and third what Jackie and others said this morning about your coverage of #ObamainIndia. You are just fantastic!! I knew when I opened my eyes this morning that I would see TheObamaDiary filled with pictures and information about our wonderful President and First Lady’s visit to India. I so LOVE this place!! Unfortunately I haven’t been able to spend as much time here or on Twitter as I have before. My body is rebelling against sitting here at the PC so long and I also have been quiet busy. Honestly I can get all the news I need right here in TOD. Next week I am do to go for Jury Duty. I hope they do not accept me. I usually like going but for so many reasons I don’t feel up to it at this time. So I hope they dismiss me 😉 I hope you all have a nice war Sunday. Thanks again Chips LOVE all the photo’s! Thanks to everyone else for supporting out Great Leader and being the BEST People anywhere!!

      GM Terri,

Completely agree with JackieG — Chips’ non-stop, 24 hr, never-sleep, coverage of #ObamaInIndia is spectacularly unbelievable, and such a wonderful way to savor a Sunday morning. PBO’s foreign trips are such an education, and seeing the citizens of other countries is such a treat!

I wish that all courthouses in the country were like mine — where jurors aren’t treated like criminals — after you check in (takes about a half an hour, including instructions from a judge). then you’re free to go and do whatever you want as long as you’re within earshot of a loudspeaker. This includes a spacious cafeteria with floor-to-ceiling windows, or outside where (I am NOT making this up) it is ALWAYS 75 degrees. I’ve been on jury duty in January and August (and other times in-between), and it’s always 75F in Ventura, CA.

Hope you’ll have access to TOD to keep you company (and so that you can catch up — PBO has been a whirlwind of activity every single day this year!).

        January 25, 2015 at 3:10 pm

FLOTUS dress is so extraordinary not only for its beauty but the intricacy of its design. I love all FLOTUS wear but this dress is a piece of art which my beloved First Lady wears beautifully. I really hope it is one of the dresses that ends up in the Smithsonian. I just love it. I wonder if the designer will discuss the process of designing it. It is so amazing – to me, it combines the beauty of a flower and the underlying mathematical equations that create it. Seriously, I love love this dress.

      THANK YOU Dudette!

Gorgeous. FLOTUS looks stunning in @BibhuMohapatra’s masterpiece . The perfect dress for one to wear while one de-boards after a long trip, as one does (LOL). 🙂

@BibhuMohapatra’s dress looks so much better with the amazing matching coat, accompanied with a beaming smile and a handsome (sigh) escort in an exotic locale.

The model must be seething with jealousy 😉 .

Though I contribute not at all here, I depend on this site, on you, on Nerdy and all those TODers who do contribute to give us the daily truth and facts on POTUS. I would not have gotten through this Presidency without you and I am completely grateful every single day. So thank you very much for all that you.. and especially for inviting us along on these trips with President Obama.

Speaking for myself, I would be aware of about 1% of what President Obama accomplishes with grace, elegance and good humor every.single.day if it weren’t for Chips, NerdyWonka and all of TODville.

Chips and NW do so much to propel and maintain this perfect internet site 24/7, fueled only by love of @BarackObama and his cherished family — cannot begin to express my appreciation.

THANK YOU Chips, NW, BTs and TOD!

Morning Chips and TOD. Back at work today, surrounded by loud music and crowds outside for the Super Bowl activities downtown. By the way, Chips, Chips, I noticed the lunch menu for today. No tuna and spaghetti thingy without the tuna.

Good morning Chips, Thank you for your live coverage of this trip. I just have to say FLOTUS arrival dress and coat is beautiful!! And adding to your tweet regarding the press; they so embarrass the US by their rude questions on these trips; not even phucking aware of ANY aspect of the host country culture, customs, politics, nothing.

If amk is still around this a.m. or if anyone else is familiar with India politics — I was wondering what US politician would be similar in political ideaology as PM Narendra Modi. I heard he was right wing but not sure if that is true and if so, to what degree.

      American press is an embarrassment.

They violate the first rule of journalism, which is no doubt taught in Journalism 101 (guessing, have never taken a journalism class) which is “do not be part of the story.”

To US MSM, it’s 1) all about themselves, 2) whining.

HELLO, MSM, twitterverse has @ndtv and @ani_news, etc.

Case closed, it’s all about whining about themselves, an elite, tiny slice of global media.
