    Hi, bye.

  2. January 21, 2015 at 9:46 pm

    This is weird, from Wiki:

Amelia Platts Boynton Robinson (born August 18, 1911) is an American woman who was a leader of the American Civil Rights Movement in Selma, Alabama[1] and a key figure in the 1965 march that became known as Bloody Sunday. In 1984, she became founding vice-president of the Schiller Institute affiliated with Lyndon LaRouche.

Wow. This is a protocol nightmare for the Republicans, and an embarrassment for our country. Has this ever happened before in the history of Congress?

Bibi really needs to not visit, due to the way this was handled. We’ll see.

Of course, Bibi’s the one who went to France and told all the French Jews they were welcome to move to Israel, a big slam at the French government and the French people.

        • January 21, 2015 at 10:26 pm

Bibi reminds me of Gov. Bridgegate Chris Christie. A bully.

And so many lives are at stake, in Bibi’s case.

            • January 21, 2015 at 11:32 pm

Late to the party but in my opinion Bibi lacks the class and moral and ethical acumen to do the right thing. He will come?

I don’t know how this will turn out. But did you see Bibi force his way into France (he and Abbas were asked not to come for the march, but he insisted so Hollande extended the invite to Abbas, as well)

Hit “send” before I finished … anyway, if you watched Bibi’s face at the march in Paris and inside the synagogue there, something strange was going on in his head … like he had totally lost it, and was acting irrationally. Eyes were darting back and forth, he was practically pushing his way to the mic, etc.

Not only that: Bibi said the only place in the world that Jews feel at home is Israel. I was offended beyond belief.

Bibi is doing Hitler’s job for him: Hitler wanted to rid Europe of Jews. Bibi is stoking the fear and working toward that end.

This is not how Jews are supposed to behave.

Is it possible that the State Department could refuse to allow him to enter the country?

I don’t think there’s call for that, no matter how badly it might turn out once he gets here. That would be way over the top, protocol wise. Who knows what will happen, of course.

If you can stomach the awful things this kid is saying, you can also witness how expertly Ijeoma Oluo channels Dr. King: http://www.dailykos.com/story/2015/01/20/1359055/-An-amazing-woman-feeds-a-troll-on-MLK-Day-and-it-was-nothing-short-of-inspirational?showAll=yes

Despite the racism that has come with the election of PBO – from the outside looking in – it appears that all non-whites in the US have renewed hope for the future – perhaps not seen since the times of MLK. Perhaps we are seeing what would have happened in the 1970s if MLK had been leading the struggle?

Do you think this is true about both parties inviting the asshole from Israel?

    • January 21, 2015 at 10:50 pm

I can believe Menendez was a cabal participant, but with Mossad acting as swiftly as they did, not only Bibi but all the traitors in Congress are stunned and running for the exits ….

Kirk Menendez is going to tank ….

Agree Dr. Bob “both parties” can only mean Menendez.

Troubling how much influence Israel/AIPAC has on America.

Really wish neglected Americans had more influence on its own country. Another example of how marginalized people whose ancestors didn’t arrive from Europe truly are, here in the USA.

bibi is a nasty dude. He has been married three times and cheated on every wife including the one he is currenty married. She converted to Judaism. She is not Israeli or Jewish. He has two sons with the 3rd wife who are old enough to go right to the front lines of any war he proposes for the killing of other people’s children. He basically grew up in the US, high school, college (MIT and Harvard) and employment. He worked for the Boston Consulting Firm, an international and domestic shit starter enterprise. Starting shit and war mongering seems to be his life’s work. One has to wonder if he was originally recruited and propped up as Israeli leadership by the ole guard CIA. He has been in some office since 2003.

Seems as if Boehner, who was elected by a small district in Ohio, is trying to set himself up as co-equal with the President of the entire United States, elected by the entire country. This is an exercise in megalomania, which should come to a bad end for him. I don’t know how it will happen, but this kind of activity leads to destruction. I do believe Boehner’s alcohol usage is becoming so chronic, he never functions outside of the alcoholic haze, which impairs judgment and can lead to an overweening hubris.

Observations of the SOTU..speech was well crafted and delivered…notice when Boehner is looking at PBO he has the look of ‘what’s he doing there??’ ‘Who does he think he is??’ ‘He has no right there’..’ni…g..r’.. Take another look at the SOTU and listen to the words while observing the facial expressions in particular the messages in the eyes of Boehner..quite revealing..a hateful racist if you ask me is that Boehner..Off to bed..have a restful night specially those under the weather…Special blessings to GoBrooklyn and Donna Dem

When I type the above word “Beautiful”, it was only #6 in the que and it was in reference to the beautiful meeting of POTUS and Ms Amelia. Now that it has fallen all the way down here – it makes no sense – thus my need to post this explanation 😀

Hi Dudette! Sorry, I kept my photos private then (and didn’t even pose in the group pics, lol), and am still keeping them private.

However, if you go to the TOD archives from around that time, Chips posted photos from other members of that group here on the site. 🙂

It doesn’t get more evil than this and the ONLY precedent in US History is Senator Jefferson Davis & contemporaneous Members of Congress fomenting Civil War on the Republic. Period.

Please read Selma Director, Ava DuVernay’s beautiful account of the film’s screening at the White House last Friday night.

“President Obama’s introduction of SELMA in the presidential screening room, the quality time he and the First Lady took with us before and after, the stories he shared with my editor and cinematographer, the praise she gave our dear cast, the handshake he gave my father, the hug she gave my mother, the laughter, the smiles, the extra time they gave us all long, long, long beyond when we were scheduled to go, the warmth, the respect, it was just beyond exquisite. “I’m proud of you,” she said to me. “We’re proud of you,” he added. I’m proud too — of them, of us, of the film, of this moment in my life. Who knows what lies ahead. But what has already occurred is food and fuel and fire and freedom. To President Obama and First Lady Obama, it was a dream I never dreamt, a dream seared in my memory like a scar from a fight won. The kind you look at every now and then, and just nod and smile. I thank you. xo.”
