Way to go, Ranman! It’s not often I see you way up there! 😀

I see that AJAM is soliciting gratuitous attacks on PBO under the guise of #DearPOTUS

It is wholly unfair to make the claim that this President is just “lip service” when it comes to military families and veterans. That is disgustingly UNFAIR.

That is ignorant. They need to needle Congress. They are the ones wanting to cut vets’ benefits. PBO has worked FOR vets.

      This is so wrong.

It was Bush/Cheney/Rumsfeld who sent the troops to Iraq in the first place and allowed bin Laden to escape Tora Bora because of neglect or, perhaps intentionally, to perpetuate the Military-Industrial-Complex.

These vets should be set straight that PBO, FLOTUS and Dr. Jill Biden are doing everything that is humanly possible to make up for the disastrous Bush/Cheney/Rumsfeld “decisions.”

There are so many things I hate about the MSM but foremost is that they give GOP a free pass.

Heard on the radio a couple of days ago about the “60 vote threshold needed to pass the Senate.”

Absolute lazy and lying “reporting.” Who knows if Dems will invoke the filibuster? The MSM ignores GOP obstruction and then lie when they report on GOP majority-Congress.

So isn’t this a great reason/use of this site’s twitter brigade? I don’t tweet but I can offer ideas. It was said here after the election that TOD was going to shoot down all non-sense pertaining to PBO.

    • January 16, 2015 at 9:14 pm

Wonder how many of these people clowned Bush when he was president, so boldly. Or were they trembling in their boots ? Seems so easy to attack the black president. I will maintain that this is mostly racism using needs as a scapegoat. Great going America. Show your true colors for the world to see.

So maybe the Arizona civic citizenship classes should be for everyone who doesn’t understand it is Congress that ENACTS and FUNDS laws. They do realize members of our KLAN Congress have REFUSED to FUND VETERAN bills. Damn how much stupid is there in America?

That YouTube clip from AP – can anyone explain to me why the photographers need so much footage? For christ’s sake, they had the cameras going, light flashing non-stop while the two mean are simply walking!

Seeing PBO with PM Cameron makes me think that not only are we going to miss him in 2017, but world leaders are going to miss him too! He has the respect of them, and has worked wonders bringing us up from the pit GWB put us in. WHO can replace him!!!

On a shallow note, looks like Cameron has tried to emulate PBO in an additional way to opposing a careless war: he has slimmed down, and looks quite trim, and also, taller.

‘world leaders are going to miss him too’

No doubt about it, Carolyn! Likely the best U.S. interaction their country has had ……. in forever! I am no history student, but I suspect it’s the first time U.S. leadership has accorded many of those leaders the respect due them as leaders in their own right. Wouldn’t surprise to discover it’s one of (if not) *the* reasons Iran came to the table and is persistent in negotiations.

I’ve often thought that the world leaders who lose their elections, or are term limited, must hate the fact that they won’t get to see President Obama at these various summits anymore… Worst thing about losing, I would think… 😉

      *and also, taller*

That made me laugh! Yes, they all grow in stature when they’re around PBO!

      January 16, 2015 at 11:42 pm

Totally agree Carolyn. It is easy to forget that just a few short years ago, PBO persisted with Iran despite the shenanigans of Ahmenjiadid (sp? too late to look up the correct spelling) and the hardliners in Iran, which lead the way to the current negotiations. We’ve become so used to seeing Kerry with Zarif that it is easy to forget what a very BIG deal it was the first time these two men shook hands. Not only has PBO taken us up from the pit that Bush plunged us in to, but he has advanced foreign policy in a way many thought was not possible, both with Iran and Cuba. I shudder to think what a Repub president would do in dismantling the many gains we’ve seen these last six years.

Jim had an awful day fishing on the lake, sitting in the blazing sun all day without catching a single one. On his way home, he stopped at the supermarket and ordered four catfish. He told the fish salesman, “Pick four large ones out and throw them at me, will you?”

“Why do you want me to throw them at you?”

“Because I want to tell my wife that I caught them.”

“Okay, but I suggest that you take the orange trout.”

    “Why’s that?”

“Because your wife came in earlier today and said that if you came by, I should tell you to take orange trout. That’s what she’d like for supper tonight.”

World leaders love to be with President Obama in the White House (not to mention First Lady Michelle, too) because he puts them at ease, listens to their concerns, and treats them with respect and even has fun with them..

Hi, Inga, I blocked it a day or two ago and it’s still appearing, though it appears with the word ‘Blocked’ highlighted. I don’t get it either. This ‘person’ follows no one, yet keeps hounding others to follow him/her.

Thank you, Nerdy W., again for all of the beautiful posts that you present to all of us here in the TOD family. I so appreciate all of the brilliant and talented beautiful souls of all of you for continually giving your support to our great POTUS. I so agree with MightyPamela and Judith on your comments. So many times my heart just get so full and I just break down when I think of all of the ugly things that have been put in our president’s path; but then I am quickly reminded within my spirit of how he gives me encouragement to keep moving, praying, and doing what I am able to do to keep his back.

The comments from the couple above about “lip service” regarding our VA., really does hurts because we all know how hard President Barack Obama, VP Biden, First Lady, Michelle Obama and Dr. Jill Biden along with many, many others have and still are working so hard to do everything possible to give back like no other president, in my lifetime have when it comes to our men and women who have served us so beautifully, but were left behind for so many years by other Administrations. However, a lot of people just refuse to give credit where credit is due when it comes to this Administration. PBO knows what he has done and what others have done to obstruct him from day one; but he keeps his head up high and keep moving with grace and hard work. His rewards will not be from men and women who have purposed in their hearts to Never recognize him as our President of these United States and while carrying that title, doing a darn brilliant job. I know that I have to keep my tongue because of where I am and others who are giving their time, life, soul, and loving hard work daily and even sacrificing their very own life for our nation and our great President and his Administration, so I keep on my knees with humble prayers of thanksgiving, cups of overflowing life surrounded with so much grace and mercy for all those who work so hard each day; we all are so blessed to be living during this Presidency.

Chips, my dear beautiful angel, thank you for this beautiful space. I really do not know what we would do without this wonderful, loving, and beautiful space lifted up daily by such great brilliant minds to support President Barack Obama. He loves you, my dear one, and he appreciates all of us who do what is fair and what is right. Keep above the noise and we will hear the sweet small voices of grace giving us another day to enjoy and appreciate God’s grace, love, and mercy keeping us together with love and progress. We will make it through it all.

Good night to my dear loving TOD family. Fred, love you so much and pray that all is going well for you. Donna, keeping you in my prayers for the babies, and Africa, loving healing hugs to hubby and family. GoBrooklyn, keep your chin up and have a little ice cream for me, okay. To all of my beautiful TOD family members, keep hope in your space, and love in your steps and your journey will get sweeter as you walk on this path. We are so blessed to be a part of such a great two beautiful men and their time in history. Our beloved POTUS and VPOTUS. Say a word of encouragement and prayers of goodness for our President, his family, and his entire Administration. Keep Congress on the front burners in All of your meditational words of prayer. Good night, my lovely TOD family.HZ
