Wow, great array of informative tweets, NW.

You run circles around MSM, who apparently are only capable of parroting GOP/Comcast/Kochs propaganda (word-for-word).

    NW rocks!

This warms my heart, since a good friend of mine graduated from NSU, which until I met him, had no idea it is a “traditionally Black University.”

LOVE this Administration, who seems to be revving up for next week’s SOTU.

We’ll all be exhausted just trying to keep up by then, LOL.

Just heard on the radio that 4 people were shot at a seafood restaurant in Florida.

How long can the GOP hide behind the NRA?

I didn’t see this, but I did work for the federal government. Your sick or vacation leave has to be accrued by hours, each payday, and there’s an annual limit above which you must “use or lose” accrued hours. I’m guessing this means that if you have six weeks of leave “on the books,” you can use it as a matter of course? I’m confused and will check, not that I’m planning on personally needing maternity leave any time soon, you understand. #PraiseJesus 🙂

The disconnect (as always) is what PBO has the authority to do without Congress versus what Congress can obstruct.

From the article (he’ll = PBO):
“As part of the initiative, he’ll ask Congress to pass the Healthy Families Act, which would allow workers to accrue up to seven days of sick leave.

He’ll sign a memorandum directing agencies to grant federal employees six weeks of paid sick leave leave for new children or to care for ill family members. He’ll also propose legislation giving federal workers six weeks of administrative leave for new children.”

There ya go. It was the “administrative leave” part that I hadn’t looked into … that means the federal agency absorbs the leave costs.

          That’s a BFD.

          Thanks so much.

It is just me, or is anyone else’s head spinning with how much *everyone* in PBO’s administration is doing right now?

One thing Congress can’t accuse PBO of now, and that’s being “lazy” (aka GOP dog-whistle to racists).

Tomorrow PBO goes to Baltimore for a Senate Dem meeting, then greets David Cameron for dinner.

It really does sound like the GOP propaganda machine is just now waking up to what the Obama Administration is doing.

Valerie Jarrett flies under the radar, but I really think she’s the primary engine on the behind-the-scenes process that is firing on all cylinders now.

Only 16% of Republicans say it matters to them if they see a woman as POTUS. That’s all that needs to be said about that. Like I keep saying…they just aren’t that into you (unless you happen to be an old, rich, connected white guy)

This poll would not have seen the time of day in the months leading up to the midterms…the pollsters and their media friends made sure to bury all good news, massage the polling data, and report all kinds of negative news to influence the midterms. Now the midterms are over, all the good news about PBO are coming out because the pollsters, GOP and their friends in the media feel relatively safe announcing them….

The American public really needs to wake up and become aware of how the media manipulates them against their best interests….

And they start reporting on the s..t that the GOP are doing in congress – the media reported none of this before the elections when it was well known exactly what was going to happen. This will be a horrific 2 years for anyone that is not a white male employed person.

Yah! I figure they need to put out some positive news about PBO so they can appear to be legitimately reporting th news even though they skew it to be negative when it counts most before elections.

The House of Representatives has voted to pass a bill that would effectively roll back President Obama’s recent immigration initiatives.

The bill still needs to go to the Senate for approval and the White House has said the president will veto it.

Mr Obama announced in November that he would use his executive authorities to enact sweeping immigration changes.

Republicans in the House say that the president’s actions overreach his authority and are unconstitutional.

It is the Republican’s latest attempt to challenge the White House, after taking control of both chambers of Congress in November.

you get what you voted/nonvoted for.

Who’s Boehner’s new token Stepford colleague in the black and white possibly houndstooth suit from the ’80s standing behind him in the one image? Please don’t bother answering; I’m not really interested. It just FROSTS me how they “use” RWNJ women this way, as though they care that they got elected to “serve” with them.

    End of rant.

I worked my fool head off to save $$ and keep my mind off the fact that he was gone so long. Skype is your friend. ( I didn’t have anything more than snail mail…you can do this)

You asked the other day where my husband just went to…OHIO…but he’s from there, so he thinks is great.

Republicans are dishonest and greedy. They have manipulated the voting system in their favor. Why would they need a “leg up”? They have advantages with all of the Koch money, but they still need a “leg up”. I can’t stand this wiesel.

guess i’m an outlier on this one, but i wish they wouldn’t allow rock climbing on “el capitan” in yosemite. climbers drill into the rock to put in anchors as they go up, and the more and more people that climb it over the years, the more it gets defaced. so many places to climb, so i don’t see any need to have people defacing one of america’s natural monuments.
