HiYa ⭐ Lookin’ good GoB!!
Would ya look at who it is – GeeeeeeeeeeeeBeeeeeeeeeee!!
Nerdy? I’m still p***ed that Chelsea won, but I’m going to be big and say: thank yoooooooooou for the fantastic tweet collection!
1. Don’t hate the players. Learn to enjoy the game; especially as Chelsea is going to take it all this season.
2. You’re welcome, Chiparoooooooooster.
Now Man U is ONLY 12 PTS BEHIND CHELSEA!
It’s meeee, GeeeeeeeBeeeee! 🙂 🙂
That’s poetry!!
Good to see you, GB, hope this new year is treating you right!
Would love to hear your thoughts on what the President has been up to this week, and recent weeks.
Hope you’re having a warm and cozy Saturday night. ((( GB )))
Hey, arapaho415! How are you?
I’m very excited about what POTUS is doing and I can tell from Twitter that others are excited too. I just dread the fact that Congress will shoot it down. Grrrr….
HI GB, a bit late but its so good to see you, have a wonderful year, praying for you that this will be your best year yet
Thank you so much, Anjo. I wish the same for you. xoxo
😉
Whooo! #1 🙂 🙂
You are always No1 at TOD gb – hope your day has been a good one
Awww….thanks, 99 🙂
NerdyWonka, oh Brilliant One, for those of us who (still) do not use Twitter, your determination to make twitter a tool for challenging the MSM in their silence and their ignorance, is beyond helpful. We would not know otherwise what is being discussed over the webz. Thank you for your vigilance! ❤
Thank you, MightyP.
Tweeting the news provides people with the choice to read headline or click the link. Some tweets are just powerful statements about our times asking the recipient to engage in some critical thinking. Yes. I’m one of those people who is trying to put 24/7 cable news out of business because when your news division is part of your entertainment division, it is NOT news. It’s just another venue to sell you shit – mostly shit that is designed to get you to act against your own best interest or fear and hate groups of people.
Sighs. Bill Fucking Maher. This is the douchebag whom dudebros love.

http://www.chron.com/news/us/article/Police-Videos-show-1-year-old-putting-handgun-in-6006522.php
An Indiana couple faces charges after investigators say they found cellphone videos showing the woman’s 12-month-old daughter putting a handgun in her mouth.
Evansville police discovered the videos after a 19-year-old man was arrested for trying to sell a handgun to an undercover officer.
Police say the man and the girl’s 22-year-old mother can be heard encouraging the toddler to say “pow” and that no one tried to stop her as she put the gun in her mouth.
Police say the mother told officers the girl was holding a pellet gun; investigators say it was a .40-caliber handgun. They say the gun’s magazine appeared to be removed but it’s not clear if ammunition was in the chamber.
Both adults face charges including child neglect and recklessness with a deadly weapon.
hey NW great collection of tweets as per your usual! So many interesting things – I gotta go investigate them thanks! 😀
Thanks, A4alice.
There’s nothing to say… It’s unspeakable. No wonder these people didn’t have any problem after 20 little children were gunned down – they don’t value life.
I too was stunned speechless when I saw DF’s post upthread. Unbelievable doesn’t begin to cover this.
Thank you for your comment earlier this week when jojo described her experiences when applying for jobs and attending college in the Northridge area. This too is unbelievable to me.
The American public need to be aware that these are the experiences of young women in true-blue California — which would blow the hole in the “dangerous young men” excuses given by closed-minded people.
Thanks Arapaho415 – for both kudos! We are living in interesting times…
Geez. who does that? it’s absolutely crazy
just 140 characters and a ‘national’ news org couldn’t get it right?
1-9-15 was Rod Stewart’s 70 th B-Day. I remembered, but had forgotten to post something.
Happy Belated B-Day, Rod Stewart.
When I was growing up, there were certain songs that seems to be played on a loop during certain summers. These songs were EVERYWHERE, on the radio and at public venues.
Examples are:
1965 – “Satisfaction” (Rolling Stones)
1968 – “Nights in White Satin” (Moody Blues)
1971 – “Maggie May” (Rod Stewart)
If you didn’t live through those years, you have no idea how UNAVOIDABLE these songs were.
Of course the first thing I think of when I hear them now is those SoCal summers…
Totally in rapture at a Moody Blues concert in Montreal, probably 1970, or ’71. The light show was just astonishing. Some things that stick in our heads are good!!
GoBrooklyn – hope you are enjoying your win this fine weekend. How’s your energy? Are you on a break from treatments?
😂😆
Sooooooooooooooo bad!!!! 😆
And yet so funny!!!!!!!!!! (I believe Jesus had a sense of humor.)
Yes it is very very bad but I laughed so hard.
Bill Maher typical privileged ass hole.
At some point, I think maybe we should go out and meet it.
I’ll be on the lookout for that asteroid in…3 years
Nerdy, absolutely fantastic collection of tweets, filled with data and anecdotes I hadn’t seen before. I learned so much from your selection. Thanks doesn’t seem enough for all this goodness.
Thank you, Jackie.

🙂
oh no, Now I’m gonna have that song in my head. Lemme go find it. 🙂
Now THAT’s what I’m talking about! 🙂 🙂 Many many thanks for posting!
The day I sat my college boards (a-hem 1968), two of my dear brothers surprised me when I got home with tickets to see Arlo! Needless to say, I was in a daze when we went in, but soon came right out of it when he started the concert. One of my all time favorites. I remember someone here a while ago saying we should try to list all the musical groups we have seen… that would actually be fun one day/night!
Good for you alice!
It’s a good song! I haven’t thought of it for a long time – thx! 😀
😯
Chips, I see you were mimicking amk – big spender. No problem, we’ll just sign your name to the bill. Everybody knows who Chipsticks is! You’re world-wide famous 😀
Arlo Guthrie was my absolute favorite when I was in high school and college.
Had every album, played them incessantly.
Of course got hooked on him via “Alice’s Restaurant,” both the album and the movie. 🙂
Republicans, in TRIA reauthorization negotiations last year, decided that they wanted to sweeten the corporate welfare pot some more by rolling back part of Dodd-Frank, particularly by exempting non-financial companies from having to follow the same derivative regulations as banks. The White House has expressed its disapproval of this addition to the bill but has not issued a veto threat because of it:
Broadening Dodd-Frank’s statutory exemptions is a complicated issue with serious implications for the health and stability of the Nation’s financial markets. The main purpose of S. 2244 is to reauthorize the Terrorism Risk Insurance Program; this bill should not be used as a vehicle to add entirely unrelated financial regulatory provisions.
During the Senate vote on TRIA reauthorization, Elizabeth Warren decided to offer an amendment to strip this unrelated Dodd-Frank rollback provision from the bill.
The Senate proceeded to vote her amendment down 66 to 31.
All of the Republicans in attendance voted against it, and 13 members of the Democratic caucus joined them.
Bob Casey PA Senator voted in favor of this bill
Surprised at Casey and Klobuchar. At least Republicans stick to their principles wrong or right; mostly wrong. Democrats should take a lesson from Landrieu and others who have been defeated, running away from what they believe.
I have not begun to figure out these Dems…This is not the 1st time that Casey has voted against the President on key issues…but he usually votes with the President….
I’m surprised about Klobuchar. She’s my senator. I don’t understand why she’s doing that.
PF, I will never vote for him again. After his no vote on PBO’s nomination for the young man who, through his agency, represented Mumia Abdul Jamal, he proved to me he is a chicken-shit. I have no respect for “safe” candidates. Casey has had other questionable positions, he emails me all the time. Think I’ll let him know how I feel about him.
sounds great
And still some on the left blame the President because things like this happen. ALWAYS political parties to the left will not agree to vote together for the best they can achieve. Happens all over the world.
Perfect tweet Bobfr – illustrates exactly which lives matter.
Thank you 99!
Former Kentucky Doctor Pleads Guilty to Filing False Tax Returns Claiming Millions in False Business Expenses
A former London, Kentucky, doctor pleaded guilty today to filing false tax returns on which he falsely reported millions in fictitious business expenses to reduce his taxable income, announced Deputy Assistant Attorney General David A. Hubbert for the Justice Department’s Tax Division.
According to the documents filed with the court, Dr. Visa Haran Sivasubramaniam owned and operated Hematology Oncology Physicians East (HOPE), where he offered medical oncology and hematology services. During a three year period, from 2007 through 2009, Sivasubramaniam earned more than $16 million in total income from HOPE, but he reported nearly $13 million worth of false and fictitious medical supply expenses to offset that income. Sivasubramaniam admitted that for 2008 and 2009, he signed false corporate tax returns for HOPE and false personal tax returns, which reported limited taxable income and ficticious losses from HOPE when he in fact knew that his net income was millions of dollars more. According to court documents, Sivasubramaniam owes more than $4.5 million in taxes.

Former Judge Pleads Guilty for Accepting Bribe During Campaign to be Elected to the Arkansas Court of Appeals
A former state circuit judge in Arkansas pleaded guilty today for accepting a bribe in exchange for reducing a negligence jury verdict against a Conway, Arkansas, company.
Assistant Attorney General Leslie R. Caldwell of the Justice Department’s Criminal Division and First Assistant United States Attorney Patrick C. Harris of the Eastern District of Arkansas made the announcement.
Michael A. Maggio, 53, of Conway, Arkansas, pleaded guilty to a one-count information charging him with bribery concerning programs receiving federal funds. A sentencing hearing before Chief U.S. District Judge Brian S. Miller of the Eastern District of Arkansas will be scheduled at a later date.
As part of his plea agreement, Maggio admitted that in 2013, he served as an elected circuit judge for the state of Arkansas, Twentieth Judicial District, Second Division, presiding over a civil matter in Faulkner County Circuit Court. The plaintiff in that matter, the estate of a decedent, filed a complaint alleging, among other things, that a company, its owner, and others had neglected and mistreated the decedent leading to the decedent’s death while the decedent was in their care. On May 16, 2013, a jury returned a verdict in the plaintiff’s favor, awarding damages against the sole-remaining defendant, the company, in the amount of $5.2 million. Approximately one month later, the company filed a motion for new trial or to reduce the amount of damages awarded by the jury to the plaintiff.
Maggio further admitted that he formally announced his candidacy for the Arkansas Court of Appeals on June 27, 2013, while the post-trial motions were pending. On July 10, 2013, Maggio entered an order reducing the verdict against the company to $1 million. Prior to that order, a fundraiser for Maggio’s campaign told Maggio that the company’s owner had committed money to support Maggio’s campaign. …………………………………. //

If the Senate doesn’t take action on the House bill, the Department of Homeland Security will be unfunded as of February 27th. This is the exact scenario that Republican leadership promised the public would NOT happen if Republicans were given control of both chambers.

A great example is the 3D-printed Shelby Cobra that the President [saw] during his visit to Techmer Engineered Solutions. The car demonstrates a number of cutting edge technologies, and shows how the National Network for Manufacturing Innovation Institutes could leverage each other’s strengths and achieve more together than they could on their own. The Cobra was 3D-printed with advanced composites that cut its weight in half while improving performance and safety. The motor is powered by wide bandgap power electronics that are more efficient and less expensive than traditional silicon technologies, and the electric vehicle can be charged wirelessly. The Cobra’s innovation may be rivaled only by its manufacturing process. The car was developed by six people in just six weeks, when it normally takes a year and a team of dozens to achieve a similar demonstration from design concept to prototype.
To learn more, watch our latest video on how advanced composites could revolutionize clean energy technology and our daily lives.

The concept of 3-D printing/manufacturing is fascinating — definitely 21st century engineering from a 20th century Sci-Fi perspective.
Many years ago, my BF worked at in the Infosys department of a small business manufacturing firm that created machines that made machines. For some reason that concept tickled my fancy — an array of machines which made machines exactly like themselves (clones, if you will).
To my mind, it’s like Stephen Colbert’s “infinity” portrait.
This definitely reminds of the move “the 5th Element”
