I think I can tell you who the next President of the US will be:
The 45th President of the USA will be the person who runs on the amazing successes of President Obama.

The loser(s) will be those who purse their lips and talk about fixing the ACA.
Those who say they are running “to get something done.’
Those who stress that “Washington is broken.” As if They are the ones that will change things because, you know, 44 hasn’t.

Democrats who say or do any of the above have no more chance of being President than I do.

I 1000 percent agree with you, Vicki. 2016 will be like a litmus test. The one who’s smart enough to get that he/she is a successor to PBO and not a competitor is smart enough to be president. Those who haven’t got that common sense haven’t got what it takes to hold that office.

        January 9, 2015 at 3:52 pm

Jackie, your entire statement should be put on a billboard. It is the gods honest truth, if you don’t have the common sense to follow President Obama then you don’t have the required common sense to be in the oval office

I will write that on every DNC DSCC DCCC $ solicitation I get in the mail and send it back. I’m only giving money to people who support our President. No more back-stabbing votes on Keystone or diminishing the ACA or Social Security.

  6. January 9, 2015 at 3:24 pm

It always brings a big smile to my face when I watch the happiness and excitement of the persons attending PBO events. 😀

It’s been great watching President Obama since the mid-terms redefining the term, “lame-duck.” He continues to show us how to turn setbacks into positives; how to make lemonade from lemons. He continues to motivate us not to give up by setting the example.

Isn’t that a quote from his CBC speech back in 2010 after the midterms ? That is when he slapped the podium at the whinny Black Caucus Bam !

        • January 9, 2015 at 5:16 pm

This is the full quote from his speech — actually from the CBC Dinner on September 2011…

“So I don’t know about you, CBC, but the future rewards those who press on. With patient and firm determination, I am going to press on for jobs. I’m going to press on for equality. I’m going to press on for the sake of our children. I’m going to press on for the sake of all those families who are struggling right now. I don’t have time to feel sorry for myself. I don’t have time to complain. I am going to press on.

I expect all of you to march with me and press on. Take off your bedroom slippers, put on your marching shoes. Shake it off. Stop complaining, stop grumbling, stop crying. We are going to press on. We’ve got work to do, CBC.

Perfect summary. Nerdy. The real truth in that last sentence is that it’s been the extraordinary hard work of our president, along with the American people, that has brought this country back financially. From virtually day one, our president was meeting with CEOs of industry, particularly manufacturing and asking what they would need to grow and hire more people. He’s created new areas of manufacturing in green technology and, of course, it was his tenacity and insight that saved the auto industry. Americans were lost and didn’t know where to turn in early 2009. Despite odds that seemed insurmountable at the time, President Obama took the wheel and calmly steered the ship of state through terrible economic storms, knowing exactly how to get us all to safe harbor.

This has been quite a week. The President is just handling so many items, while Congress dithers and plans only to enslave and hurt Americans. The contrast is staggering. Thank you to all who have provided the info…..news broadcasts are totally unnecessary with TOD on the job.

Now to something lighter, and yes, perhaps shallow. I hope FLOTUS is planning some wonderful music, dance, feasting nights at the White House for this late winter and spring. I LOVE those nights, and I think it’s time for POTUS and FLOTUS to kick up their heels some in the midst of friends and relax…….I’m also getting a little ready to see another beautiful formal dress on FLOTUS!!!!

    • January 9, 2015 at 4:48 pm

carolyn, remember the interview POTUS and FLOTUS gave to People magazine, were FLOTUS talk about POTUS being the dee jay and they had a few friends over and they just dance the night away. Aretha Franklin, Sly and the Familystone, and they ended the night with alittle Al Green.

A woman in Fayetteville, N.C. allegedly shot her husband in the chest when he came home to surprise her with breakfast Friday morning, television station WTVD reported.

Police said Tiffany Segule, 27, shot her husband, Zia Segule, 28, after he returned home to surprise her and set off their home’s alarm system, the station reported.

She had returned to bed after her husband left for work and thought there was an intruder, according to police. She fired a shot through her bedroom door, authorities told the TV station.

The bullet hit her husband in the chest, but police told WTVD that he was able to walk and talk after being shot. He was released from the hospital hours after the incident.

He told WTVD that he was “good.”

Police told WTVD Zia had entered the home through the front door but they could not confirm whether he had announced himself or attempted to turn off the alarm.

Tiffany was taken to the police department for questioning and the investigation was ongoing.

An off-duty police officer in Brandon, Mississippi accidentally shot his roommate in the head Wednesday night when he was showing the roommate a new revolver, according Mississippi’s Clarion-Ledger.

The off-duty police officer, a 28-year-old whose name was not being released by the Rankin County Sheriff’s Department, had bought the revolver earlier in the day.

“He had just purchased a new revolver that day and was showing it to his roommate, but it accidentally discharged, striking the roommate in the head,” Rankin County Chief Investigator Raymond Duke said, according to the Mississippi newspaper.

Duke said the off-duty officer was not an officer in Rankin County.

The roommate was taken to the University of Mississippi Medical Center. He was both alert and conscious and is in stable condition at the hospital, according to the sheriff’s department.

Notice the difference ? The woman gets taken in for questioning. Nothing about the off duty cop being questioned.

That’s idiocy, just like that Idaho Mom shot by her 2-year-old son last week.

More troubling is that mass murders are becoming a daily occurrence in the US.

Check her closet. That’s where she hid the intruder; the husband would have caught her with him so she blasted him.

If @VP Biden doesn’t throw his hat into the ring, this will be a replay of 2008 — which was the first time in decades a sitting President or VP wasn’t a Presidential candidate, which means a wide-open field for both parties.

MSM thinks 2015 is relevant for 2016 election because of $$$ – until the MSM can actual report on the political horserace, they “report” on the donation horserace.

Releasing innocent detainees is not the only way PBO is trimming down the population of Guantanamo prison—curent inmante count is 127.

According to Carol Rosenberg, the authority on Gitmo, recent changes in the laws there will keep judges who oversee the trials for the guilty or suspected to be guilty prisoners have been coming and going, not based in Cuba.
This has slowed everything to almost a halt.

New plan is that, if you are a Gitmo judge then Cuba is your home base.

Guilty prisoners after a trial might be moved to US prisons in the US.

The idea is to bring the prison population to as low a number as possible as quickly as possible so that keeping Guantanamo open can be successfully fought on waste-of-money grounds.

PBO smarter than everyone else—-block him one way, he’ll find another.

    http://www.nytimes.com/2015/01/10/us/politics/prosecutors-said-to-recommend-charges-against-former-gen-david-petraeus.html?smid=tw-bna&_r=1

WASHINGTON — The F.B.I. and Justice Department prosecutors have recommended bringing felony charges against retired Gen. David H. Petraeus for providing classified information to his former mistress while he was director of the C.I.A., officials said, leaving Attorney General Eric H. Holder Jr. to decide whether to seek an indictment that could send the pre-eminent military officer of his generation to prison.

The Justice Department investigation stems from an affair Mr. Petraeus had with Paula Broadwell, an Army Reserve officer who was writing his biography, and focuses on whether he gave her access to his C.I.A. email account and other highly classified information. F.B.I. agents discovered classified documents on her computer after Mr. Petraeus resigned from the C.I.A. in 2012 when the affair became public.

  41. January 9, 2015 at 7:23 pm

At a time when the Democratic president is supposed to be reeling, President Obama went to red state Tennessee and proposed a plan that will have immense appeal and popularity in both red and blue states. The president invaded Republican turf and unleashed a policy earthquake that was based on an idea that came from a conservative state.

President Obama is making Republicans march to his agenda as John Boehner and Mitch McConnell can’t compete with the power contained in a forward thinking presidency.
