You guys know how PBO usually includes a personal story about someone in the audience? Wouldn’t it be a hoot if he chooses to highlight Desertf’s (housing) story, and then does his usual ‘Where is Desertf? I believe she’s here today. ….There she is!’ That would be awesome! ๐Ÿ˜€ ๐Ÿ˜€

      • January 8, 2015 at 12:42 pm

It would be awesome VC, but I just don’t want to see DF being stretchered out of the place having fainted ๐Ÿ™‚

No, no, CC. She’d wait to faint until after! Given that this is an experience she’s been hoping to ‘experience’ for years now, she would not dare faint while it’s happening! You hear me, Df?!! ๐Ÿ˜€

If she doesn’t faint during this ocurrance, then she will be seen with water flowing out of her eyes, nose and mouth and will be mortified that she didn’t just fall out with faint

Not our Df; she is made of sterner stuff when the lights are on (or she brought lots of kleenex with her). Or maybe, she’s like me – would rather laugh a bit (ie. chuckle) than have watery eyes in public. ๐Ÿ˜‰

This kinda stuff will happen when your phone is somehow attached to the “cloud”. People use it to store their vids and pics in case the ones in the phone get erased.

    • 28 vcprezofan2
      January 8, 2015 at 1:13 pm

According to the article it’s Fox News that’s claiming the WH is looking into the selfie … so I’ll wait for further developments.

      // …………………….

Now, Fox News is reporting that the White House is looking into how the selfie ended up on the internet in the first place, and while the world is still not 100 percent sure if the image is even real, Michelle Obama has strict social media rules for her daughters so this selfie making its way around rap blogs is something she’s probably not too happy with.

Hello to my Chips, Danny O’ and my TOD family. So wonderful to try to catch up and be here today. I have on one of my trays in my sitting area of the bedroom a personal note that was done by a wonderful artist in Pasadena that reads: ” Life is a gift each day to open up with as much grace as you can with the help of mercy.” I surely cherish that personal note during these wonderful golden days..

Df, enjoy our wonderful President today. He keeps doing his wonderful work, no matter what comes his way. May the grace of goodness and strength of the loving thoughts, prayers, and words of encouragement be with him from our TOD family.

Chips, hope my Danny is doing well in all of the weather changes. You can send him out here on the west coast and stay with me for a little vacation in the sun with a small blanket or throw for him to keep the slight chill off. I would love to have the visit. Granny can dream, right.
POB always tells us to “Dream Big.” Just listening to our great President of the United States of America.

I hope Fred, Cookmom, Alycee, and all of our TOD family members are doing great. I love you all so dearly. HZ

The funniest Pearl story: she figured out how to get out of her sweater during the night, even with the straps around her back legs. Of course I put the sweater back on her as she ventured out into the Arctic this morning. When she came back in, she was trying to remember how she got out of the sweater: she rolled around, stretching her back leg behind her, trying to roll the strap off the leg. She wasn’t having much success, but she was sticking with it as I left for work.

Mr. 57 just called me: she was teasing Kasper, and then lifted the leg with the strap to try to get him to grab the strap in his mouth. He finally did it, she wiggled her leg out of the strap, and the sweater was off in a few seconds.

        That’s my girl!

No countrywide television coverage of The President of The United States delivering a planned and publicized speech.

Don’t tell me that we have a free press.
That is as much a myth here as it is in any acknowledged fascist country. By fascist I mean Corporations own the media and substantial portions of the government.

CSPAN3 is re-running a discussion of US military bases abroad. The person talking is addressing a room with about 1/2 dozen audience members. So far the audience is not snoring audibly.

MONTPELIER, Vt. (AP) โ€” Vermont Gov. Peter Shumlin was elected to a third two-year term by state lawmakers on Thursday, in an election prompted by his failure to win a majority of the popular vote in November.

Shumlin defeated Republican Scott Milne by a vote of 110-to-69 in a joint session of the Vermont Legislature, an outcome that was expected given the strong majorities in both the House and Senate held by Shumlin’s fellow Democrats.

So the Republicans are scrambling to come up with the 67 votes that are needed to override a possible veto of the Keystone pipeline. Once again the Republicans have won the battle but lost the war. Yes they have both houses of government but unfortunately they have shit to show for it. It isnโ€™t going to get any easier going forward. If the Republicans want anything from President Obama they are going to have to come with their hats in their hands begging.

p.s. on a side note, I love the fact that President Obama is doing a preemptive strike on his own State of the Union speech. I like the way he sits back and spring his traps at the right time. You are witnessing a master politician at work.

Yes, he’s a great politician as well. I’ve had my eye on his progress for a long time.

He and his brother have a great future of service in this country. We shall always keep a good word of goodness going forth to their space.

Meta, I hope that we will be able to work with all our might for the Senate seat of our Senator, Barbara Boxer. She has stated that she will not run again in 2016. We have a lot to do from now until Jan.2017. Lord, give us wisdom and collective strength. HZ

HOLLYWOOD, Fla. โ€“ As part of President Obamaโ€™s commitment to empowering American Indian and Alaska Native tribal nations and strengthening their economies, Secretary of the Interior Sally Jewell and Bureau of Indian Affairs Director Michael Black today joined Seminole Tribal Chairman James E. Billie to formally approve tribal leasing regulations that will help spur investment and commercial development on the Seminole Tribeโ€™s reservations.

Upon approval of the tribal regulations by the Department of the Interior, tribes may approve land leases without Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) approval, fostering tribal self-governance in the approval of leases for homes and small businesses in Indian Country.

โ€œThe Seminole Tribe of Florida will now decide for itself how it wants to do business on its lands โ€“ from making it easier for families to buy and build houses to opening businesses in the communities where they have lived for generations,โ€ said Secretary Jewell, who also serves as chair of the White House Council on Native American Affairs. โ€œTodayโ€™s agreement will encourage economic development and help create jobs while strengthening tribal sovereignty and self-determination by putting these decisions back in the hands of the tribe.โ€
