Nope, I needed to leave early to get there before security shut down regular access and got stuck. I am settling for seeing it coming in. I would love to see him in person. I missed him in Albuquerque by a week back in 2008 and have tried to be chosen for dinner every single time it was offered, but no luck. You can be my eyes this time!

Do we think in my lifetime we will really see a retrofitted auto industry which builds cars to run only on alternative fuel sources, like electricity, H2O, or solar energy? Autos which little people who don’t earn a lot of money can afford, so they, too, can be part of eliminating dependency on fossil fuel.. Why can’t every car have a solar rooftop collector, and maybe if we got going on the solar roadways, it could make a huge difference in a hurry. Or is it always about status quo, and planned obsolescence? With BigOil driving the entire world energy systems.
Big oil has received a fright over the past 12 months – if not in our lifetime – surely in the world of our daughters 🙂
Now MP – if you are around – this downsizing is a disaster – nothing but nothing fits where we are going. Mr 99 almost decided he didn’t want to move – I had to talk fast & take him shopping for new “little” stuff!

The announcer was quite thorough, counting the babies (3 babies!), the number of vehicles in the motorcade and the fact that the Biltmore was snubbed in favor of the Pointe Hilton Squaw Peak.

The most important issue is the President’s safety. So I assume it was chosen over the Biltmore because it was more secure and safer getting the President to and from different locations.
