I am still at work and watching for the entourage.

    • January 7, 2015 at 8:33 pm

This is the same view that I have from my office window. So exciting. Too bad he didn’t arrive in daylight.

DF, I’m so excited that you are going to see the President tomorrow. I’m so happy for you. I can’t wait for your feedback. I saw the President once when he was at the Franklin Institute in Philadelphia in, I think, 2012. I was too far to get a close look or shake his hand, but it’s something I will never forget.

Thank you so much, Judith! I can hardly wait…I don’t think I’ll be able to sleep tonight:)

      • January 7, 2015 at 8:17 pm

Congrats df – ENJOY this once-in-a-lifetime experience, and please do give us a report tomorrow (if you’re able to stay awake after not sleeping tonight). 🙂

How could I NOT share this momentous experience with all of you! I’ll let you know all the details…I suspect that I may even be able to post a comment or two before he even comes out…once he comes out…you won’t be hearing from me until it’s over:) Promise. 🙂 Really, really excited and honored to be able to go see him. Hope that Jackie4Obama gets to see him come into Sky Harbor airport tonight…I think she mentioned that was her plan!

      • January 7, 2015 at 8:43 pm

I doubt you will sleep tonight but well worth it. I am excited for you.

Good evening TODville. It’s been a very busy day, haven’t been able to check in at all. Can’t wait to go back to listen to the President’s speech and to read all the posts. Tomorrow is also going to be very busy. I am so sorry I won’t be able to watch the President in Arizona live. But knowing Dersertflower will be there will be enough for me. I’ll catch up tomorrow evening

Now to go and see what happened today.

Great review of our President’s event-filled day, NW.

While we’re cooling our heels for PBO to touch down at Sky Harbor, it looks like Spandan is on the same wavelength as @SenatorReid:

Link to Spandan was posted here yesterday:

And this tweet was sent today

Do we think in my lifetime we will really see a retrofitted auto industry which builds cars to run only on alternative fuel sources, like electricity, H2O, or solar energy? Autos which little people who don’t earn a lot of money can afford, so they, too, can be part of eliminating dependency on fossil fuel.. Why can’t every car have a solar rooftop collector, and maybe if we got going on the solar roadways, it could make a huge difference in a hurry. Or is it always about status quo, and planned obsolescence? With BigOil driving the entire world energy systems.

Big oil has received a fright over the past 12 months – if not in our lifetime – surely in the world of our daughters 🙂

Now MP – if you are around – this downsizing is a disaster – nothing but nothing fits where we are going. Mr 99 almost decided he didn’t want to move – I had to talk fast & take him shopping for new “little” stuff!

Thanks JER and DF for the AZcentral live feed link, which was very entertaining.

The announcer was quite thorough, counting the babies (3 babies!), the number of vehicles in the motorcade and the fact that the Biltmore was snubbed in favor of the Pointe Hilton Squaw Peak.

Think I’m almost as excited as DF now. 🙂

The most important issue is the President’s safety. So I assume it was chosen over the Biltmore because it was more secure and safer getting the President to and from different locations.
