For those who caught the comment last night that “CanadaBarb4Obama” was undergoing some medical tests today and had asked for your good thoughts and prayers, tonight she asked me to tell you that she got through her appointment okay and is scheduled for surgery in a couple of weeks. Barb wanted to ask for your continuing prayers between now and then! She sounds relieved with the outcome so far, and I’m hoping she “sleeps like a baby” tonight! We love ya, Barb!

Congratulations, Jacqueline! Not discussing racism in America will erase it just as well as not talking about contraception will preserve virginity.

you saw it first here– and surely the rwnjs will be opposing this appointment for absolutely no reason except: hawaii!

‘ WASHINGTON (AP) – President Barack Obama has selected the former head of a community bank in Hawaii to fill a vacancy on the Federal Reserve Board.

The White House says that Obama will nominate Allan R. Landon, the former chief executive of the Bank of Hawaii, to fill one of two vacancies on the seven-member board. The nomination will require Senate confirmation.

The decision comes after a lobbying campaign by community bankers who argued that the central bank, which regulates banks, should have at least one community banker on its board. ‘
