Good morning TOD. Christmas wishes and blessings to all. Food pantry day today–guessing we will have MANY today. After I finish there, I’ll go across the street to the Main Campus of our church and drop off 27 dozen cookies/candy for volunteers to pack for delivery tomorrow morning. When I get the report of how many dozen cookies we deliver, I will report that to you.
You’re amazing TN. Every single one of the families who get help from the food pantry or receive cookies and candies will be better off because of you. That truly is the Christmas spirit and you’re an inspiration to all of us.

Morning ALL. Chips, good luck today. It’s hard out there for late shoppers. Many stores have a picked over look and there seems to be a desperate attempt to get rid of what’s left with deep discounts–so maybe you’ll get lucky and pay 75 percent less than the rest of us did. The big focus of the craziness now is the grocery stores which have packed parking lots and long lines. Have to wonder why we do this to each other every year when we could all just chill out, eat less and have a better time. Missed you all yesterday, but we made my MIL very happy.

That dog of yours is quite the character. You could do a whole reality series around him. 🙂

Good morning, TOD. The sad hits keep coming. A life-long friend and someone I briefly date (we discovered we were definitely better friends) passed yesterday. He was “good people” and I’ll miss him.
On the party front, I’m grateful for the help I’m receiving. The Chinese food is ordered; Last night, a friend DM’d that she had forgotten to RSVP her “regrets;” I then remembered she was a manager at Barnes & Noble — a store that I had planned to visit yesterday, but didn’t because of traffic. Bottom line, I just called in my order for 50 gift cards, and she’ll deliver them on her way home from work (she lives 4 streets over).

Morning everyone! It’s Tuesday? My days are all messed up now because I’m on break and have not a care on the world:) (kidding!) Chips, I see absolutely NO PROBLEM with you starting your shopping today! I just about finished mine, but I didn’t start until this weekend…just tying up some loose ends now….I hate to shop, so this late shopping procrastination thingy works just fine for me. I work 7days/wk..so to fit something ELSE in…really sucks. I think about what I want to buy for each person, know where I need to go to get it, I dash in, dash out. BAM! Done! No lallygagging for me:) Works like a charm. Good luck today. I say make a game out of it…..and remember, when you stop, you fall down. Just keep pushing past the tired:) Have Fun!

It was a shock to walk outside this morning because it’s exactly the same temp outside as inside — 69F. It’s gonna be a nice day, not a scorcher (forecast high is 74F).
Our usual Dec lows are in the low 40s — 69F as a low is high for a summer morning.

1st world problems – I have a printer that sometime between 12 midnight and 1am decides to self-clean itself. I just fell out of my chair thinking a possum was coming through the ceiling & it was this stupid printer self imploding – I pulled the power cord – taught that thing a lesson!

Good Morning Chips, Danny, & TOD family! Thanks for the lovely Christmas season greetings swbluega. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to everyone. I am happy to be back here after a few days absence. The Dr did an X ray last week and said I had a touch of Pneumonia with that Virus, flu or whatever it was. That is most likely why I could not seem to get well or get my energy level back up. After some antibiotics I feel like a new woman ;-))) I have guest here since yesterday also a large thunderstorm brewing here in Ga. Probably a tornado but hopefully everything will be fine. As long as we have Barack Obama for our leader everything will work out just great!! I really appreciate the work Chops, Nerdy and so many of you putting out this Obama Diary each and everyday. I try to always read them and save them all in a folder. Some I haven’t read yet I will get to later. So again thanks Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas 😉
