[These are amazing young people! I always love it when I hear their sound as I’m going up the escalator from Metro. Today I was able to buy their CD’s.]

“DuPont Brass is a new, innovative brass band hailing from the D.C. Metropolitan Area. Originally composed of just five music majors from Howard University trying to raise money for tuition during the Christmas season, DuPont Brass has now grown to twelve members. Gaining popularity from playing at local metro stations, …” READ MORE: http://www.dupontbrass.com/home

Chris Hayes and LOD did brilliantly exposing this Witness and so did Lisa Bloom.

DoJ is Not sleeping. Neither are ABA and folks like Ogletree, Harvard Law Professor. Having Not Indicted is Not double Jeopardy contrary to all the Talk-a-ton on Cable and TV.

Perfect answer to the absurdity of ABC, NBC/WSJ, PEW Polls……
in 1998…..Only 48% were okay with interracial marriage OK’ed by SCOTUS in Loving V Va in 1967.
KiethB illustrates the Distortion of Media Torture reporting best with this tweet.

Excellent point. Human rights should never be dependent on public opinion. The “tyranny of the majority” is a very real thing in democracies, which would result in zero rights for people not included in the “majority” (i.e., Black people, hispanics, homosexuals, muslims etc.). The majority will gladly usurp the rights of “others” who are not like them in appearance or belief system, for any perceived gain it may give the majority.

Thanks JER for posting this tweet. I like her writing…”In a stunning and unusual act of doing their job, senators finally confirmed Dr. Vivek Murthy for surgeon general, a position that has remained vacant for more than a year because it’s not like that’s one of those important jobs. Unless, of course, there’s an outbreak of Ebola — or at least an outbreak of Ebola paranoia — in which case, it’s kind of handy to have some dude or dudette already on the payroll, ready and able to explain some basic healthcare stuff to Americans like they’re idiots, which they are, so you don’t have to scramble to appoint someone Czar Of Calming Down Idiot Americans Over Ebolamania”.

    Hi TOD!

I’ve been so crazy-busy, I haven’t even had time to lurk! I can’t stay today, either, but next week I should finally be able to be a participating TODer again!

Bringing this over from the last thread, just in case GoBrooklyn is lurking here:

I just peeked in now, so I hope you’ll see this. Your humor about your chin hairs growing back now that you’ve been off chemo for a month (silver linings 🙂 ) reminded me of a pact my Mom and her sisters made with each other when they were approaching middle age. They promised each other that, if one of them ever ended up unconscious in the hospital, the others would come and pluck her chin 🙂 🙂 🙂

Love and healing white and lavender light are always in my thoughts for you!
