hello sw, he is just fine and beautiful.. although I still haven’t seen him in person 😦 hopefully by the weekend. I’m told he only sleeps during the day, however.

        • December 3, 2014 at 7:28 am

Awwww…I’m sure you’re anxious to see him; ready to start spoiling him as grands tend to do. (I think it’s in the grandparents handbook.) 😀

By the weekend, parents will need a break (whether they admit it or not) and I know that you will be happy to oblige. 😉

Yep, I really really want to see him and definitely spoil him. My son came by briefly last night, with swollen eyes from lack of sleep. However, this baby has soooo much family, I’ll be waiting in a very long line to get my mits on him 🙂 thank you for asking sw.

I keep seeing “news” articles/reports about potential charges against Michael Brown’s step-father for inciting a riot. If that is the case, Bob McCulloch and Jay Nixon should also be charged…even more so as their actions did more to incite (a) riot(s) than anything the step-father may have done or said.

As I mentioned before, SW, the powers that be in Ferguson, St Louis Co and Missouri are doing everything they can to incite racial tensions and encourage overreaction and violence. A race war would suit the GOP to a T in 2016 and cause many voters to flee to the ‘safety’ of an R law and order candidate. Just watch things play out. Nixon, a nominal Dem, will play along to get votes for his Senate bid. This has everything to do with politics and nothing to do with justice.

yes, this is just disgusting, the way they’re going after him. Things said during grief, should be an exception- and taken in that context. But the hate directed at this family and the people of this town, by the ‘powers that be’ is beyond wrong and so sick.

it will backfire. I am not too concerned as it will not turn out well for the PD.

On CNN this morning Chris Cuomo interviewed Roorda. He questioned Roorda and said 16 witnesses said Michael Brown had his hands up only two said he didn’t.

regarding actor mark ruffalo’s tweet supporting a “ready for warren” campaign in the previous page:

so cool! i’m seeing more and more momentum building for this, and her actions since the midterms have also given me a glimmer of hope this could happen. also saw ruffalo link to this in his timeline.
“Outgoing Maryland Governor O’Malley has marred this Thanksgiving with his untimely — and more than a little inexplicable — decision to greenlight fracking in his state. In announcing the decision, O’Malley claims fracking will go forward only with the strictest safeguards. Easy for him to say.”

we’ve been spoiled for quite a few years now with president obama and not having to vet a candidate and decide who get behind, so i get that with anyone there will be an issue here and there that might be troubling. that’s why i feel in totality, senator warren is the best chance to keep the white house and to carry on the obama revolution.

Morning all. I know there’s a temptation among many Democrats to think and speculate about 2016. I had lunch with a bunch of Dems and that’s all they could talk about. Frankly, I can’t get into it. 2016 represents the last year of the best presidency we’ve ever had or ever will have and I want to savor every moment of the time until then. I’ll see who decides to run, make an assessment during the primary and vote for someone not named Hillary Clinton. If she wins, I’ll have no choice but to support and vote for her, but my heart won’t be in it.

Thank you, JackieG! My feelings too. I think I’ll simply follow you from now on and add, “Me too” or “My feelings too” to your comments. 😀 😀

VC, how I would love to meet you some day and have a good old Koffeeklatch. You always manage to cheer the day, no matter how gray. Right now the fog is so thick here, all I can see is a cottony mist outside my window and the barest shadow of tree, so thanks for brightening it all up.

          Ty, and anytime, JackieG! 🙂

Also too, I’m hoping (way down deep) that TOD management (hear that Bts?) will lend themselves to a gathering of some sort, preferably a cruise since I’ve NEVER been on one and PBO has opened me up to new adventures. Of course, we may have to put together to send DannyO to doggie camp for the duration since I’m not sure he’d be welcomed on the cruise line.

Good Morning, Ms Sneaky CC! /in frustration/ How many times do I have to ask you for a personal one-minute-prior-warning tap on my shoulder when you *know* I’m in the village? A simple tap – why is that so hard to remember?

Morning again, SW! Greetings all TODobots who are roaming around the village – Happy Wednesday!

Good morning, TODers. It’s Wednesday and it’s still raining in California, so all’s well!

This looks like a strong coalition to me:

  14. December 3, 2014 at 8:51 am

WOW…Dave Weigel….I just can’t. This man is INSANE…trying to find all kinds of ways to justify this woman’s attack on Sasha and Malia – bringing all kinds of irrelevant crap about Brown’s stepfather’s angry and emotional response to his stepson’s being murdered in cold blood, and comparing it with a PROFESSIONAL who took the time to compose a rant online, personally attacking children for acting like children at a relatively trivial event.

Furthermore, if Weigel is honest, it was the MEDIA which first exploded about the girls – circulating pics of them supposedly giving PBO “side eye” , with the full intention of criticizing the girls’ behavior – and which actually empowered Elizabeth Lauten to post her nasty rant on FB – not expecting the push back that it got.

    • December 3, 2014 at 10:10 am

Hopefruit2, I agree. I don’t believe what Brown’s stepfather said had anything to do with any one setting any fires. I think the police are trying to intimidate these people by going after Brown’s stepfather. As far as that David Weigel goes, it’s clear he’s one of those right wing haters who have lost any common sense. People like him agreed with Elizabeth Lauten.

White House Tribal Nations Conference ongoing now:

Interior Secretary Sally Jewell is speaking about climate change. She’s also doing a lot to reform the Bureau of Indian Education to make it more responsive to Native American youth.

You (so did I) missed the start but you can use CC’s tried and true method to find her speech, I think.
