    Sharing Is Caring.
Our First Lady is a great as well as a great Mom-In-Charge.
I love to see Mrs. Robinson out having fun. So glad to see her passing on her wisdom to her her granddaughters.
There is something about a grandmother’s love and wisdom. It is hard to explain.
Okay. Off to see an Off-Broadway play. I have no desire nor money to shop.

Love how TOD keeps us informed.

Agree with JO’B re: WJC, but since I live in the LA area, let me say this about that photo.

Seems that it’s a given that women who spend a lot of money on bosom enhancement feel compelled to force others to look at the surgeon’s handiwork. I pretty much avoid the LA area in general because of this relatively recent phenomenon.

Don’t care how people spend their money, but I really dislike their need to shove in people’s faces — I’m short, and in crowds I mean that literally.

      LOVE Mrs. Robinson!

I truly hope that she is writing a book — OK with me if it’s a ghost writer who can frame the narrative starting with Mrs. Robinson’s parents/ancestors and then cover everything else in her remarkable life.

I’d wait in line for this book.

I’ve watched the video over and over again, I just love the first family. Just before the end of the video and Mrs. Obama hugs the two gentlemen that donated the tree, the man standing in front of Sasha tells Mrs. Obama that he thinks Sasha looks like Mrs. Robinson and that Malia looks like her….so cute. I personally think Sasha looks so much like Mrs. Obama who also looks like Mrs. Robinson. Malia is 100% the spitting image of her dad and late grandmother Stanley Ann. Mailia is definitely a Durham.

Good afternoon, TOD! Had a wonderful day yesterday, five generations of my family were gathered at my cousin’s home in NJ for a delightful meal and fellowship. I was physically having a rough day; considered cancelling; so glad I didn’t, because even though I wasn’t feeling that great, being with family lifted my spirits. BTW, my E-A-G-L-E-S served up a azz-whooping on the cowgirls as a tasty side dish.

Off to do some work; just realized today is the last banking day of the month…

    Have a Blessed day!

    From the article :
In North Carolina, Pennsylvania and Ohio, to name just three, GOPers have recast state and congressional districts to consolidate black voters into what the political pros call “majority-minority districts” to diminish the influence of these voters. North Carolina is an especially glaring example: GOP-redistricting after the 2010 elections led to half the state’s black population — 1.1 million people — being corralled into one-fifth of the state legislative and congressional districts. “The districts here take us back to a day of segregation that most of us thought we’d moved away from,” State Sen. Dan Blue Jr., who was previously North Carolina’s first black House speaker, told the Nation in 2012.

    • November 28, 2014 at 2:42 pm

And it got worse in 2014…

non presidential elections are notoriously known for low voter turn out…esp among DEM Voters….in 2014…when it was imperative for the Dem voters to vote…it did not happen… in addition to Dems not voting…There was Voter Suppression (big time)…the DEM candidates attempted to appeal tot he racist vote by spurning the President and the forces that elected him…the MSM depressed the vote with doom and gloom and doom and outright fear tactics…

with Reid’s most recent stint to capitulate to the GOP re: tax breaks for the rich…Schumer bashing PBO re: Healthcare…it does not seem that the DEMS have learned much….

paying close attention to the President…. and what he will be saying and doing…as the primary season heats up..

Now, I happen to know this was shared here previously but some of you may not have had the time to listen, and it probably slipped your mind. Today is the perfect time to tune in. It’s audio. Do it now, if you haven’t already!

    Smartypants shares ….

Someone we should all be listening to: Bryan Stevenson

Today I was in my car running some pre-Thanksgiving errands and listening to Minnesota Public Radio between stops. I was absolutely blown away by a speech they were airing and kept wondering “who IS this guy?” It wasn’t until the end that I heard it was Bryan Stevenson, founder and director of the Equal Justice Initiative. Once I got home, I located the speech on MPR and listened to the whole thing uninterrupted.

I know you are all going to be busy with family and loved ones over the next few days. But if you have an hour to spare, I can’t imagine a better way to spend it that listening to this one. Here’s a link where you can do that.

I’d never heard of it or of Stevenson before Taiping brought him to our attention last week. He seems very committed to a sector of society many have been deaf to, and I’m hopeful this will be the start of him getting a wider and wider audience that will join him in his efforts.

He is well known in the criminal defense community. He successfully argued 3 cases in the Supreme Court ending death penalty for children and death in prison verdicts (life without parole) for children tried as an adult. His organization Equal Justice Initiative has been a model in providing free legal aid for those on death row in the South, training lawyers and investigators.

Well, Taiping, it’s definitely time he gets known more widely! We know the idiots prancing around and making asses of themselves before the media but many are unaware of this man’s valuable contribution and message. I walked into Target’s book section to see if they had his book, but they didn’t. Books and magazines I’m interested in always take a while to reach my corner of the world, but I’ll keep looking.

White House correspondents shared their experiences covering presidents from Jimmy Carter to Barack Obama. The first panel of former correspondents discussed some of the changes since their White House assignments, including access to the president and how contemporary media had influenced these changes. The second panel of correspondents currently assigned to the White House focused on how the Obama administration controls access by the press.

Sadly, doubt that she will. There is no justice when A-A’s are harmed or killed by police or any random white person as evidenced by what happened to Mike Brown and Trayvon Martin. They will say that the cop felt threatened, the powers that be will accept this, and she will be added to list of thousands of African-American victims and their families who know for sure that there is no justice because we are considered to be animals who deserve to be slaughtered.

        • 136 vcprezofan2
          November 28, 2014 at 3:37 pm

From the article it seems the cops are claiming that her boyfriend was running down the/a cop. In fact there’s apparently now a warrant out for his arrest, so I don’t doubt that nothing will come of it from the perspective of justice for her. I wasn’t there. I don’t know. But, I sure do know that law enforcement has the terminology down pat and is quick to find their counter argument which is not often truth. In short, I don’t really trust law enforcement’s word when there is a POC on the other side.
