Never underestimate Barack Obama. Just when we think he can’t be any more incredible, the guy goes and cranks it up a few notches! This. Is. Our. President. WE ELECTED HIM TWICE!! Because, we knew, didn’t we, TOD? 😉

Yes, we did. Thank God we did!

      • November 15, 2014 at 1:19 am

Yes Indeed, MightyP! I am so proud that I worked hard, contributed, and voted for President Obama. But even more importantly, I feel so blessed to have run across incredible people, like you and all the other talented, creative, and smart people who support President Obama, at this special place called TOD. We must insist on reminding the unethical U.S. media that President Obama received over 69 million votes in 2008 and over 65 million votes in 2012. Compare that to 37 million votes won by Republicans in Congress and then tell the truth as to who actually has the mandate of most Americans.

Or you can check their twitter timelines — except for @petermaercbs (who may be retiring?), everyone on the Asia press trip are not even bothering to rein in their disdain for the American President on foreign soil. It’s truly disgusting.

What an inspirational speech from PBO, who must be beyond exhausted now.

Once again, MSM/Kochs proven wrong in their claim that Bill Clinton is the best politician alive.

Blown away by the Aussie’s response, and LOVING the tweets on their reactions. Keep ’em coming, HF2!

That evening performance was wonderful as I recall. Sec. Hagel was really into it as well. Mr. Willie Nelson really wanted our President to sing with him, and he really kept on until POB said yes. It was a wonderful moment. It was meant to be. Things happen in such wonderful timing for our president. That is how I meditate for him, and I see answers coming forth from our many efforts of keeping his back through our respect and support from TODers, and through our many meditational moments and prayers..

We are his energy, my TOD family. Our beautiful First Lady is his energy; our great and wonderful entertainers give him energy; his great Cabinet gives him energy; our wonderful VP gives him energy; his close circle of friends give him much energy; his sisters, Auma and Maya give him energy.

Tthe goodness in the American people who choose to be vessels of love and support give him energy; and our service men and women give him much energy; and do not even mention how much energy he gets from the babies and the young people. We sustain our beloved President, Barack Obama and knows this. So I am committed to continue to do everything within my power to allow my goodness of energy move towards our beloved president. Trust me.HZ

      • November 15, 2014 at 1:40 am

Yes indeed, HZ! No matter how much they (GOP and U.S. media) try, they will never extinguish the goodness, intelligence, and wisdom of “our beloved President, Barack H. Obama. People all over the world, who are not subjected to the constant manufactured negativity about our President, recognize his specialness and his greatness. I am personally thankful that I am alive to be witness to the Obama presidency.

I thought about you when I wrote that Bobfr. 😀 I know what he did but I unfortunately am quick to set aside my personal feelings to at least be civil in this situation. They invited him knowing what he has done so they should at least have someone (even it if were paid staff) sit at the table. Otherwise, they should not have included him.

Thank you NCLB for bringing this here.

I just got home from dinner with a friend. She voted for PBO but doesn’t follow his presidency closely, doesn’t follow politics and probably didn’t vote in the last election. I’m relieved the subject didn’t come up tonight.

Here’s the thing: I feel sorry for her that she is missing all this. I know she was so proud and joyful when PBO was elected. I remember calling her that night and saying, “The First Lady is black!” and knowing how we both were feeling without a word from her. I know she wishes him well. I’m sad that, because she is not paying attention, she doesn’t realize just how brilliant, smart and effective he actually is.

I just watched this speech in full. I got choked up. We are truly blessed to have this man leading the country, representing us in the world. I doubt we will have another leader such as this for a very long time, if ever.

If I didn’t have TOD to come to I would also be missing all of this. I can’t thank you Chips, and Nerdy and everyone here who brings tweets and stories and links. I am so very grateful that I am, not only alive in this time, but part of the TOD community so I can truly witness this miracle as it happens.

Love, light and gratitude to all.

        Madame Soph,

You are so right about TOD and missing this historic speech and visit to all the countries PBO has visited. For some reason, MSM/Kochs think their audience gives a fig out 2016 speculation, rather than actual history-in-the-making.

Any American who is a true patriot, and every person who voted for Barack Obama, would enjoy seeing his reception in Australia.

Any person who is not a bigot would marvel at this speech — how easygoing and honest he was for his laid-back democratic audience, reminding (chiding) them that they are a Asia-Pacific nation (Abbott has been heartless toward refugees), yet covered the most broad array of topics without rushing in any speech, by any person.

Hope you mention to your friend the @7newsBrisbane twitter account — see upthread for their positively giddy tweets — or this thread. It would warm her heart to see how loved, admired and RESPECTED PBO is where RWNJs don’t control the media.

It’s been inspiring to look back through the TOD posts and comments about President Obama in Australia. I LOVE seeing him appreciated and he is whenever he travels. It’s the perfect timing for him to recharge his batteries and be around people he can work with and talk to adult to adult. I just love him. 🙂 Thanks to everyone for your comments and tweets in real time. I really felt like I knew what was going on.

Pretty sure everybody here feels the same way, Jeff. We must find a way to enjoy every minute of the next two years! If there were ever a time to “live in the moment,” this is it.

      • November 15, 2014 at 8:21 am

Yes yes yes. What a good, worthy comment; I want to be awake and aware, but also to savor these times, and to be present for PBO, this community, the many people at home and worldwide who get it, who see him, who want what we want and know what is real. TOD keeps me centered and nourished. Thank you Chips for this place and all BT’s for nourishing it, and you JOBoomer for this wisdom.

IT’S SUCH A PLEASURE ALWAYS TO SEE THE PRESIDENT’S SMILE AND TO SEE HIM TREATED WELL AND WITH RESPECT AS HE SHOULD BE. I WAS THINKING THE OTHER DAY HOWEVER SADLY…ABOUT HIS RETURN TO THIS UNGODLY COUNTRY..I HATE THE THOUGHT ACTUALLY BECAUSE I DON’T LIKE TO SEE HIM ABUSED. FRANKLY IF I COULD AFFORD IT I WOULD LEAVE THIS COUNTRY BUT I ALSO WOULD NOT LEAVE THIS PRESIDENT UNTIL HE IS DONE. THEY ARE CONSPIRING HERE AND IT’S DIRTY…I AM PRAYING ALWAYS FOR MY ENERGIZER BUNNY PRESIDENT TO BE SAFE AND PROTECTED AND LOVED BY THOSE HE LOVES. IT IS REALLY VERY COLD HERE…MY BROTHER RESCUE CHOPPERS IN BARROW ALASKA…HE CALLED ME YESTERDAY TO TELL ME THAT ALASKA IS WARMER THAN ‘HOOSIER’LAND…THAT DOESN’T SURPRISE ME CONSIDERING THE PERSONALITIES OF THE PEOPLE WHO LIVE IN THIS COMPASSIONATE BARREN STATE! GOING TO GO AND MAKE A POT OF COFFEE AND LISTEN TO THE BUNNY IN BRISBANE!

I guess Kristen Welker was unaware of President Obama’s speech to the Queensland students. Not one mention of it in her report from Brisbane today. Isn’t that odd? (or typical, shielding American audiences from positive Obama news)

    • 90 arapaho415

      dotster,

It’s truly appalling how open the MSM has become in their RWNJ support now that PBO is a “lame duck” (I think they’re a bit frightened of the prospect of #PBOunplugged, and are cowed by his relentless strategy and action in pursuit of what’s best for the American people, not #GOP/Koch).

Case in point, @DavidNakamura’s twitter timeline. WaPo should send him back to where he came from — the sports page (I’m Japanese-American, so not a prejudiced comment).

I love the giddiness of the Aussie press, but what he gets in a foreign country is something this country withholds from PBO — simple respect, which drives me bonkers.
