      “Nice Burn” is right!
Thanks Nerdy for the awesome tweets, the Mother Jones link (no emoprog snark… Yay!) and for including Chips’ tweet of that sunglasses/cellphone pic; I saved that to desktop 😉

Bravo, Dudette! I Totally agree about “Best.President.Ever.” And I’ve consciously lived under 11 presidents-from Ike (Dwight Eisenhower) to BHO.

Hey nath!!! Good to see you! How you doin?

        • November 12, 2014 at 1:53 am

I am well, Dudette. Thanks for asking. My daughter, who is writing her PhD thesis, took over my computer. In exchange, I got an I-phone, which I still haven’t figured out how to use. Today she is hanging out with her boyfriend; and I am so glad because I am able to witness our beloved President make history.

Guess that’s my signal, it’s time to go!

Hugs to you both! Be well.

    Great tweet roundup, NW.

PBO must have the do-nothing GOP spinning six ways from Sunday.

He’s given them something new to discuss amongst themselves every day since the Nov. 4 election.

They’ll set the Guiness world record for largest human pretzel chain before the new Congress is sworn in.

  7. November 12, 2014 at 12:27 am

Just catching up so I can sign off, say goodnight to {{{{{TOD}}}}}, big hugs all around. I am watching and listening, in awe of President Obama, a Man for all Ages, the most recognized human being on this planet at this time. I am in awe that only a week ago, he sat and wrote a letter to a little old lady in Seattle, to thank her personally for the encouraging words she wrote in his birthday card. Put all this together, if that is possible, and understand how blessed and blessed we all are, to be alive in this time. Whatever may come, there is something undeniably exceptional happening on Earth right now, and we walk in wonder and witness. May God Bless and Keep our Dear President Barack Obama safe in His Heart. Goodnight, sweet dreams of a new world coming. ❤ 🐻 🙂

The President totally cheered me up and inspired me (again):

For some reason I felt like seeing and hearing this. The first time I saw this opening I practiced dancing like this in my room until I had it down 🙂 :

One helluva fine collection of tweets, NW! One helluva fine President!

TODville – could I ask you to keep a family member who is undergoing tests tomorrow in your thoughts – and prayers, if you are so inclined? Thank you – and sweet dreams to all.

Hey guys, when I found that image that I tweeted up above, it was associated with an article from 2012 about a group of Black Veterans Organizations trying to build a moment in DC to “honor of Col. Charles Young, the legendary soldier/diplomat who led America’s renown Buffalo Soldiers.” They worked with a production company to put 4 of PBO’s historic speeches to music on CD and are raising funds by selling the CD. Dunno if the CD is going anywhere (or the monument for that matter). Anyway, I thought it was interesting, so I thought I’d share a link

    There’s a 4-minute audio excerpt from the President’s 1st inauguration address.

so president obama makes all kinds of history and spreads goodwill in a couple days in china. compare this to a george bush visit to china (not even counting a couple years later at the china olympics and he was caught on camera clearly drunk/drugged and helped out of his seat):

  15. November 12, 2014 at 12:53 am

Sweet dreams, TODVille. I’ll see you in a few hours.

Ugh! I refuse to go to bed with the last image in my head being that of GWB…

So here’s an article from one of the programs that received the National Arts and Humanities Youth Program Award Winners – Project Step. I’ve taken a liking to them (of course),…

Project STEP identifies musically talented students from underrepresented communities in Boston and provides them with a comprehensive music education.

Full White House Video of the awards presentations is available on this page.

Thank you Chips for your brilliant creation. Nerdy W., you give me so much joy in your presentations and your up to the very sec., of POB’s speeches. We have a great man serving as our 44th President, and I give thanks for every moment that I live to see him to continue to make us proud here at TOD.

These are serious moments in our history, and we are so blessed to see him daily keeping his focus and moving to create a better space for all beings to enjoy a peaceful and blessed life for generations to come. He is the best President Ever!!! I will continue to give him my totally support and keep him and his Administration in my goodness space of thanksgiving and petitions of loving prayers of comfort, wisdom, safety, and physical strength. There are millions who are doing just that daily for President Barack Obama. His strength cometh forth from these spaces of goodness from all over this world. May they continue to give him daily strength.

I guess many have not mastered that masterful skill of chewing gum and walking with define purpose of getting his job done no matter how ugly the opposition works. I am so grateful to have someone so dear to me working to keep him moving with honesty, great dignity , and steady in his actions. It is worth every moment my precious one take the time to keep his back and ours as a nation.

Hi NW, I meant to leave you a thank you note for this and other great posts you share everyday on TOD. You, Chips, and all the wonderful people here at TOD are witnesses to history making by our President. No matter how much they try, the media and the GOP will never succeed in their negative re-writing of the history the Obama presidency.

I *hate* the press with the heat of a thousand suns.

It’s not just the US press, which is among the worst, but I just took a look at the tweets from journalists traveling with President Obama and the tweets are all-bashing-PBO-all-the time, completely absorbed with themselves.

They are laser-focused on Xi’s response to @MarkLandler’s question about foreign correspondents in China and the press conference itself. Now that PBO has left China, they are bashing him (and Hillary) about Burma.

JHC, have never seen anything like this. Aside from Politico, @DavidNakamura is the absolute worst.

      • November 12, 2014 at 7:32 am

Yes, it’s really nauseating. They have all been reduced to sniveling whiners and they get paid handsomely for it. For anyone who has never known the like of a real journalist, this is now the norm. UGH!
