So it’s nearly official: I’m flying out to Indiana for Thanksgiving. Can I survive 5 days without internet? I don’t know. Let’s get pollster GGail to put out a push poll.

    • October 30, 2014 at 7:13 pm

They must have a *$s where you can access by WiFi ….

I used boingo.com for wifi service when I stayed at a motel without internet service.

In June they offered a deal for $4.95 a month for wifi hotspot access.

You can check out their website to see if there’s a convenient wifi hotspot near where you’re staying in Indiana. Or you could book a room at a hotel with wifi. And there’s always McDonalds, Starbucks, maybe a shopping center or other store. And perhaps another publicly available wifi access location (local park or public library?).

I didn’t know that Mike Michaud was so much liked! Good for him. I hope he wins, as I wish every Democrat to win, even those who distance themselves from POTUS. I will forgive them and like them the same. What can’t forgive people is the election of any T-bagger, any GOP for that matter.

I like the crowd, a representation of all of us.

    • October 30, 2014 at 7:22 pm

Oh dear! I remember when the vision of waking up the next day after elections in 2008 and facing McLoss/Palin as elected President and Vice President gave me motivation I never thought I had. I remember how quickly I jumped on the phone banking business, the canvassing business, the talking to my friends/relatives business.

For us to handle business from the 21st century, we need elected officials from the 21st century. hahahahahaaha POTUS is funny.

President Obama is preaching. If you want something better, you gotta vote for it.

This was wonderful. As far as I can see POTUS is loved every bit as much as ever—2008, 2012 and 2014.

  21. October 30, 2014 at 7:57 pm

Let me go watch Lebron back in Cleveland. But I enjoy listening to POTUS tonight. I still have HOPE, the media and the right wing wackos will not take that away. I love being able to listen to POTUS and FLOTUS as I did today. The best POTUS and FLOTUS I’ve seen.

Every time I see President Obama speak, I can’t help but think—–‘those poor fools that didn’t beg him to come campaign for them—–made their race so much more difficult’. And I always wonder, maybe naively, but—–what if all Dem candidates, even in the ‘red’ states, would have supported President Obama’s policies, bragged about them, shouted them from the rooftops. There is nothing to be ashamed about—–they should have been proud and loud about these policies and accomplishments—–all geared to easing middle class lives, pushing fairness and equal opportunity for all. Why hide from that? Why not do the right thing, don’t let skin tone dictate for gods sake, don’t cater to the lowest common denominator, don’t tolerate the hate, promote the good, show some strength and integrity, do the right thing.

He never loses the ability to fire up the crowd and make people think. No matter how many times I hear his message, I am still mesmerized by his ability to hold a crowd, and thrill them.

I’m getting a little sentimental about this election day already. This is the third election cycle when my oldest granddaughter was visiting … she was with me in 2008 to celebrate, she was here in 2012 when she said to me, “Crying, AGAIN???” – and she has returned and will be here next week, when we keep the Senate and take back the House. She’s my good luck charm!!!

This Legalized Bribery, period. This Happens No Other Place on Earth, but in USA.

As a designated random emprog, I will have a chance to get in touch with my “inner whiner” . Thanks Chips there are so many models for this role.

The Sierra Club and other progressive groups (don’t know which) have rented a house for the weekend to make calls and use as a base to support the Dems in our district. I will be making calls from this undisclosed location on Sunday. I am glad that the groups are coming together to help Tami Green we need her in the state Senate. They have blanketed the airwaves in the south sound with very nasty commercials. and O’Ban is a dangerous Koch follower who was appointed when the previous state senator died. Even though Washington is a blue state, Pierce county is purple with patches of red.
