    Good Morning TODVille!

Another great post with a beautiful picture of POTUS. Thank you Chips.
Love the guy on elections night. All his “domestic helps” are smiling, save the “master”, the 1% guy.

Sorry, but I find that question and request for responses to be a colossal waste of time. Instead of fantasizing about a GOP Senate win, we are going to be GOTV, and educating people about the accomplishments of our President and what more can be accomplished with a Dem Senate.

    Good morning, TOD.
I love the first cartoon. Says it all for me.

NY Times reporting that Christie’s Hero Nurse Prisoner will be allowed to return to her home in Maine this morning!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

NY Times also has a great column by Paul Krugman blaming (but not shaming, unfortunatly, nothing shames these losers) the GOP for a complete stoppage of $$$$$ for infrastructure. The Sabotage Spoiler Party is what they are.
Mitch McConnell has announced he would stop everything if he is Leader of The Senate. “He won’t like that very much,” said M mcC about how POTUS would be punished by him and his party. Mitch McConnell NEEDS TO LOSE.

    Good Morning, Everyone 🙂

  14. October 27, 2014 at 10:08 am

Good gawd, worst ‘security’ ever – if the guy had a gun or a knife, Cameron would be no more.

    • 67 99ts
      October 27, 2014 at 10:14 am

Like in my world – very few have guns – unlikely that Cameron would be injured – other than getting pushed over.

      • October 27, 2014 at 10:27 am

True 99ts, but there are enough people in Britain who would like to do him serious harm, you’d think his security would be a little sharper.

        • 69 99ts
          October 27, 2014 at 10:37 am

Reality is – we just don’t do it – Our current pm may carry around a security man or two – because he wants to look important – but again – very unlikely he would get shot – same in the UK. The guns are just not there. Majority of shootings are criminal/drug related or domestic shootings – which doesn’t make them less sad/criminal or whatever but no-one here needs anything like the security that US Presidents seem to need.

Which reminds me – we were buzzed by the army copters today – we live on the flight path – air force base to the city – I think they were practising for the G20. Probably the closest I will get to PBO is to have him fly overhead! The city will be locked up tight – arrest first, ask questions second. sigh.

          • October 27, 2014 at 10:45 am

I’ll sound as paranoid as Fox News, but there’s a lot of tension in Britain over their involvement in Iraq/Afghanistan etc, lots young Muslim guys setting off to join ISIS, a few nutters floating round, like the guys who killed that soldier on the street in London. Easy for anyone like that to get a gun or knife, that’s why I’m gobsmacked by the lack of security in this incident.

Hey, we’ll want photos of PBO flying over your house!!!! 🙂

    • 88 hopefruit2
      October 27, 2014 at 10:18 am

Exactly. And Nunn’s admission of having voted for PBO has not diminished her standing in the race – if anything, she now has momentum – Obamamentum!

    • 89 Don
      October 27, 2014 at 10:28 am

It may be too late for Grimes, she has her head so far up the Clintons’ asses that she know what they had for dinner last night.

      • October 27, 2014 at 10:29 am

😆 Don, I may never be able to erase that image!

        • 91 Don
          October 27, 2014 at 10:40 am

I’m sorry Chips, I don’t mean to be so vile but for Grimes to be so anti-President Obama is so frustrating. The guy delivered health care, marriage equality and ended DOMA, and she seems to go out of her way to insult the President. You don’t like President Obama, fine, you’re trying to win an election, I get it. But to go out of your way to tell people that you aren’t an Obama voter is really the last straw for me. And if the Clintons weren’t in on the deal they would have told Grimes a long time ago to chill out with her public animosity towards President Obama.

          • October 27, 2014 at 10:53 am

I agree with you 100% Don, she makes my skin crawl. Much as I loathe McConnell, I would find it very, very hard to vote for her if I lived in that state. I certainly would have to hold my nose. I completely get what everyone’s saying, that such is life in a state like Kentucky, that she wouldn’t get elected if she aligned herself with PBO, but she has gone way beyond what she needed to do on that front. A “Clinton Democrat”? Refusing to say if she vote for PBO? Good gawd.

            • October 27, 2014 at 11:03 am

That was the bit that was the final straw for me, too. She shoves PBO, who has enormous and historic achievements, under the bus all the while shouting from the rooftops that she’s a Clinton Democrat, two people who have done exactly what for our country? It not only reeks of a knowing rancid racism but also displays an ugly and misguided arrogance about how to govern. Triangulation, tra la la.

              • October 27, 2014 at 11:24 am

Exactly, Meta. We know the country is full of Dem candidates keeping their distance from PBO because of the states they’re in, and I get that – even if it drives me insane. But she has taken it further, to the point where one of her supporters actually felt comfortable enough to say this to the NYT:

“We’re just nostalgic for when Democrats were different than Obama.”

                I just can’t……

                • October 27, 2014 at 11:33 am

That was the gratuitous twisting-the-knife moment for me, too. I tell you, the 2016 primary is not going to be pretty. Not pretty at all.

              October 27, 2014 at 11:09 am

Don’t get me wrong, If I were a living in Kentucky I’d vote for Grimes also. But there are some lines that shouldn’t be crossed, like insulting President Obama at every turn.

              • 98 amk for obama
                October 27, 2014 at 11:21 am

Yes, I get the frustration and the anger but we can’t let that get in our way of getting the senate. And what a senate seat take that will be. That will be the final death knell for obstructive gop fanaticism. I don’t want people who visit here who might vote/canvass for her lose their participation/enthusiasm.

              • 99 nospin
                October 27, 2014 at 4:03 pm

I wouldn’t vote for her and forget the consequences because she does not represent my interest but that of a small group. So if I am going to be screwed then by gawd maybe it is time we are all screwed regardless of melanin. Until then I think of it as enabling the bad behavior.

Actually Grimes is doing far better than was expected a couple weeks ago. She may even end up pulling a win on Election Night. It’s just that she didn’t have to go the route that she choice to go down. Spending far too much time showing the racist in KY that she’s not an Obama Democrat didn’t gain her any favors with the AA community but there are lots of KY women who are keeping her close in that race. Only time will tell…………

I hope she does beat McConnell. I would enjoy his loss much more than watching Eric Cantor lose. On the other hand, I am very happy that I don’t live in KY. I would find it very difficult to vote for Grimes, even while holding my nose.

Don, After Nov 4, I have a thing or two to say to some of these Democrats. As far as I’m concerned they’re cowards. There are those who are not in Red states and IMO have no reason what-so-ever to bash President Obama and run away from him.

What Governor Cuomo and Governor Christie accomplished by their hasty ill-advised moves to one-up the President and the popular Mayor of NYC revealed not Leaders With Reason and Strength, but the empty soulless contents of their characters. Bought and paid-for RW hacks.

    http://www.politicususa.com/2014/10/27/lack-integrity-drives-support-unethical-corrupt-republicans.html

There are currently 11 Republican governors either under indictment, under investigation, or under intense scrutiny for their ethics violations and outright crimes. According to a report last month, the 11 sitting Republican governors are involved in scandals of their own creation, and nine of the eleven are running for re-election. Most are either leading in the polls or staying competitive with their challengers informing that, at least in their respective states, their base embraces their corruption and in some cases supports their intent to take their corrupt ways to the U.S. Senate.

(CNN) — A British science teacher admitted Monday to trying to help anti-Assad regime fighters commit acts of terrorism in Syria.

Jamshed Javeed, 30, from the northern English city of Manchester, pleaded guilty to two terrorism charges at Woolwich Crown Court.

Police said the father of one had helped four associates travel to Syria for terrorism purposes last year and had planned to join them in the war-torn country.
