Hope all is well with you, Chips. It’s a rare thing to be ‘furst’ on a fine October day.

The DCCC has made a horrendous decision in PA. We have a wonderful, hard working candidate in PA’s 6th Congressional district, Manan Trivedi, the Iraq war vet and physician. He’s running against a snotty, wet-behind the ears Republican who will be a disaster for the district. Yet DCCC pulled support from Trivedi’s campaign, yanking $1 million in promised tv ads at a time when he needs it the most. The NRA is pouring $$ in the district on behalf of the Republican, claiming that Trivedi will take away peoples’ guns. It’s a disgusting act of betrayal on the part of the DCCC and I’m furious at them.

The truly frightening problem in the US is the utter ignorance of far too many voters. Some know nothing and don’t vote. Others know nothing and vote anyway because their parents were R’s or somebody told them to be scared of Democrats. They never inquire, never think, never form a connection between their own well being that the people they vote for. Every election season I think/hope/pray that it will be different and it’s always the same headbutting against the wall of ignorance. Ack!

When we’ve watched news, we’ve watched ABC recently. I much prefer Martha Raddatz to Richard Engel.
Not surprised David Muir is attracting the demo age….NBC is just a Republican tool now……MTP and the rest……

Jimmy Carter needs to sit the fuck down and keep his damn mouth quiet. He has the nerve to go quoting corrupt Panetta, et al in his attacks on the President. FUCK him and the failed one-term horse he rode on.

This election, I hope that those not included in the pollsters’ definition of “likely voter’ will overwhelmingly come out to vote.

I also hope that those same voters will bother to cast votes for more than the more publicized races. Hopefully, voters will realize that what they may consider to be *unimportant* offices have more of an impact on our lives than they realize.

The “likely voter” nonsense is just another smokescreen and one of the GOP/MSM’s dirty tricks that they employ to allow them to manipulate data to *APPEAR* to favor the GOP. They pulled that crap in 2012 and it didn’t work. Since 2010, the GOP has not won any many election – Presidential year or not, including 2013. As I have been saying from day one, last November (2013) is the best predictor of this year’s election – which means that there is no GOP wave – in fact, very plausibly the opposite.

It is unbelievable to me that President Obama’s name is the focus of almost every sentence uttered by the TV news types, no matter the subject, and he is the focus of almost everything written by traditional and new media. It is an obsession with a president that I have never before witnessed. A weird, sick obsession of epidemic proportions.

New York Times front page story today is by Jonathan (Politico) Martin: “In This Election Obama’s Party Benches Him.”

We must be winning! If the MSM is already denying credit for an election victory to PBO, the internal GOP/MSM polling must be telling them that the Democrats are going to have a fine election!

Does this make sense to anyone but me?

No Vicki, that makes total sense. A preemptive strike.

It makes PERFECT sense to me Vicki. The all-out media assault on our President that Dotster noted in her comment above, is a clue that the Dems are winning this November. Actually, I don’t think that even PBO himself minds being the temporary scapegoat for the media’s anger…as long as he gets the congress that he desires, he will be fine – and his legacy will be fine.

ROCK THE VOTE!! TURN OUT FOR WHAT!!!!

  28. October 8, 2014 at 9:35 am

Maybe it’s because I’ve been so sick but I have absolutely NO tolerance today for any of this media bullsh*t and crazy back-stabbing Dems. This country is such a racist mess I don’t even know where to start. It permeates every aspect of our culture and society at every level. President Obama has become the inflection point. If I weren’t living through this I would never believe it.
