      What is wrong with all of these fair weather Democrats?? Why did they decide to pile on PBO just before midterms? I read Huckabee’s tweet re SSM. Did Jesus weep while he was all over the tv lying about the ACA? He suppose to be a so-called minister.

    Jose has my unswerving loyalty as Chelsea boss. But on some things he just shouldn’t make mouth sounds.

    But Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has disagreed, saying last week: “There is no racism in football.

    “If you are good, you are good. If you are good, you get the job. If you are good, you prove that you deserve the job.

    “Football is not stupid to close the doors to top people. If you are top, you are top.”

    First of all let me say this, any respect I might have had for Leon Panetta is “GONE”. What is more important, the Democrats keeping control of the Senate or Leon Panetta’s book? It seem to Penetta, it is his book.

      shows a person who is so full of himself that he thought the positions he had been selected for makes him superior to PBO – the Commander-In-Chief and that his decisions (rather than POTUS’) should overrule everybody;

      I hope PBO ignores him completely and doesn’t dignify him with any response – no matter how many questions are asked

        I have noticed McCain and others running for POTUS mostly Republicans have always answered they would listen to their advisors and follow their advise, even Hilary criticized Obama for stating he might make a decision different than their advise. PBO was the first candidate for POTUS I remember emphasizing that he would gather many experts to listen to then consider their advise before deciding. He said he would decide what was best not just do what his advisors said that his job was to make the decision. PBO read Doris Kearns Goodwin’s book Team of Rivals about Lincoln’s administration team and his manner of decision making. He patterned his own decisions with that in mind. This unusual approach was a major change in itself.

    Chips, more from Keane:

    “I rang Mark Hughes. Robbie [Savage] wasn’t in the Blackburn team and I asked Mark if we could try to arrange a deal. Sparky said: ‘Yeah, yeah, he’s lost his way here but he could still do a job for you.’ Robbie’s legs were going a bit but I thought he might come up to us [at Sunderland], with his long hair, and give us a lift – the way Yorkie [Dwight Yorke] had, a big personality in the dressing room. Sparky gave me permission to give him a call. So I got Robbie’s mobile number and rang him. It went to his voicemail: ‘Hi, it’s Robbie – whazzup!’ like the Budweiser ad. I never called him back. I thought: ‘I can’t be f***ing signing that.’”

    Police Kick Ferguson Protesters Out Of Council Meeting To Protect Darren Wilson Supporter

      Linda, it is really bad with no satisfactory end in sight.

      The only way to begin healing is to arrest the murderer who shot an unarmed teen and left his body in the street while he (the murderer) made his getaway.
      Everybody can see the way out is via the door.

      Failure to make an arrest and charge Darren Wilson is very alarming. What happens next?

        REPORT: Missouri Authorities Planning for Riots if Ferguson Officer Not Indicted « CBS St. Louis

        FERGUSON, Mo. (CBS St. Louis/AP) — Missouri officials are reportedly planning for possible riots if a Ferguson police officer is not indicted in the death of an 18-year-old African-American.

        Reuters reports that state authorities are meeting two to three times a week to draw up contingency plans in case of riots if Ferguson Police Officer Darren Wilson is not charged in the Aug. 9 shooting death of Michael Brown. A grand jury is expected to decide next month whether Wilson will face criminal charges.

        St. Louis County Police Chief Jon Belmar fears violence will not only encompass Ferguson, but that riots could spread to other meetings

          Yes, I saw this on my computer yesterday.

          My computer came with a Yahoo! news feed that I see whenever I’m on the “Start” page, and this was one of the headlines yesterday.

          I’m not one to borrow trouble, but things are gonna be tense in #Ferguson when the Grand Jury *finally* announces its “findings.”

          October 8, 2014 at 7:26 pm

          A riot hurts the people who are already hurting. Not to mention enabling the bullies another opportunity to display their tanks.

          I’d like to see other ideas explored. Such as a general strike or legal action that impacts the enemy, Not the righteously aggrieved. Easy to say, tough to do, i know.

      Immediately after the Tucson Massacre, doctors had a grave prognosis for Gabby speaking again.

      She’s made tremendous verbal progress since then, am always pulling for her.

      If this doesn’t make you want to move to Tucson, I don’t know what will.

      Southern Arizona is so, so different than Phoenix — it’s much higher in elevation and has wooded riparian areas that bird watchers flock to.

      One of my favorite places in the America West.

      Nena posted a couple of links from @tpm on the previous thread on this.

      I’m scratching my head because @tpm says it’s Lawrence @Lessig’s superPAC, not Dems, who are (deluging) funds to SD.

      From what I’ve read about Weiland, I like him a lot. IIRC he isn’t distancing himself from PBO.

      From the article:
      “MayDay PAC’s $1 million is a serious start. According to a TPM review of Federal Election Commission data, outside groups have spent about $350,000 in South Dakota since Sept. 1 — and all of that came from Every Voice Action PAC, another campaign-finance-centric group that is allied with MayDay and backing Weiland.”

      Also from the article:
      “Some recent polling prompted MayDay PAC to get into the South Dakota campaign, its founder, Harvard University professor Lawrence Lessig, told TPM in an email. A Survey USA poll released on Tuesday found Rounds, a former governor who has been dogged by a scandal about alleged corruption involving immigration visas issued during his administration, at 35 percent, Pressler at 32 percent, and Weiland at 28 percent.”

    • 91 arapaho415
      October 8, 2014 at 7:33 pm

      OK, I’ve read the @AP article and see that Weiland is getting $2 million, $1m from DSCC and another $1m from Lawrence @Lessig.

      One of the reasons I was confused was this in @tpm’s article:
      “National Democrats have been almost entirely absent, which led to a public spat between former Senate Majority Leader Tom Daschle (D-SD) and current Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) over the lack of support for Weiland.”

      So I guess @tpm’s news has been superseded with @AP’s.

    Posted at the bottom of the previous thread …

    but didn’t have time to comment.

    Apparently, a few days ago Ukraine decided to give Putin’s boys a message including, but not limited to, an expression of just how unhappy they are that the ‘cease fire’ is not being honored.

    Ukraine is no slouch in the production of sophisticated, accurate surface-to-surface tactical weapon system. They proved it. Moreover, they demonstrated that they can destroy substantial structures, over a wide area, without risking their air force or ground troops.

  22. October 8, 2014 at 7:00 pm

    OMG, this is nuts.

  23. October 8, 2014 at 7:01 pm

    “Russian attempts to fabricate anti-Semitic attack in Ukraine have yet again clashed head on with reality. This time the Odessa Jewish Community has been forced to issue a statement denying every part of the ‘story’ after being deluged with anxious calls from around the world.

    The claims were indeed alarming. In an article entitled “Right Sector” has declared war on Jews in Odessa”, Izvestia asserted that “radicals” had desecrated graves and the monument to victims of the Holocaust with swastikas. 20 Jewish people had supposedly been savagely beaten up by ultra-nationalist Right Sector members and an anonymous police source was reported as claiming that another 36 robberies and attacks had been carried out by the Right Sector, all on members of the Jewish community. All of this was eagerly repeated by Russia’s LifeNews and other pro-Kremlin channels.

    The official response from Berl Kapulkin, Press Secretary of the Odessa Jewish Community states that the phone calls to members of the community were prompted “by several statements made by a person calling himself the leader of the Jewish community of Odessa. A person with this name – Mikhail Maiman – is not only not the leader of the community, but is not even a member of it. Mikhail Maiman is not in any of the community’s databases and it seeks likely that he doesn’t exist.”

    I have reached past the point when the media’s 24/7 hysteria on Ebola has me saying : “enough” !

    some people with media platforms are even giving out false information and stroking more fearl

    it seems as though most media personalities are not aware that Ebola has been infecting people for a very long time (officially first identified in 1976) during which we have had open borders and free flow of people back and forth;

    I am also aware that for many months, the majority of the Western media ignored Ebola as it spread and devastated many African families. A few weeks ago they even ignored PBO’s speeches on Ebola;

    so going forward, I will only share information on Ebola which is educational or important to the prevention efforts of public officials, scientists/researchers, or elected officials

      Thanks you, Linda, for your voice of sanity on this issue.

      I’ve posted a couple of times here that, IMHO, this is an example of the MSM/Koch pulling out all stops in their effort to prevent #LandslideDems2014.

      ebola is code by MSM to say, yes, you’re right to be afraid of Africa (and African Americans).

      It’s despicable, but cannot see why the airways are nonstop ebola, 24/7.

      I mentioned there were a couple of fictional best sellers nearly 20 years ago about an ebola epidemic (by Richard Preston and Tom Clancy, neither of which I have read).

        my country of birth has had Ebola multiple times and in each case, the spread of the disease was contained;

        in fact some of the medical personnel from my country, that have been previously involved in containing this Ebola outbreak at home, were among the first to go and help out in West Africa and are still there now

This is their making the blacks count the amount of items in the jar, if they get it wrong they don’t vote.
