Good morning, Chips. Thank you for the admirable and accurate post about Shaun King. Apart from the egregious President bashing bs he dispenses, yesterday he had a series of tweets predicting rioting and tanks in Ferguson imminently.
He is iresponsible as well as dishonest.

Ah, thank you Vicki, I just found a reply from him in pending, will post it in R&S so you can all see it.

Wonderful post on con man Shaun king and the other uneducated elites especially the ones who have been around long before PBO came on our radar. All I see SK is doing is situating himself to sit back and complain to be recognized while doing nothing. PBO has being DOing while the other complainers have been Talking.

Looking forward to seeing his reply. Hope everyone have a wonderful Saturday…hot or cold.

    Japa21,

I have to say that you crack me up.

Although… snow flakes in the Midwest already???

LL stands by his faith in NOAA’s El Nino’s prediction for Cali, but the last I heard (on the radio) is that we can expect a weak El Nino that affects Cali’s low desert (southeast corner of the state).

A reminder of what Cali is now facing (posted earlier this week):

Unbelievable. Me and hubby just moved to the north bay in northern California and we have a very serious strictly enforced water conservation plan due to our community being in the drought area.

Crazy scary trying to protect our POTUS:

For Secret Service, a delicate dance of guards and guarded

In July, President Obama stood on an outdoor stage before a crowd of 2,000 people at Los Angeles Trade Technical College.

The president had just begun a new campaign-style speech when a man in the crowd, standing less than 50 feet away, interrupted with loud cries. “Antichrist!” the man yelled. “You’ll be destroyed!”

As the Secret Service moved in, Obama cracked a joke from the podium to keep things light. He had seen the man before, he said: “He needs to update his material.”

Less than an hour later, however, off stage and surrounded again by security and staff members, the president was no longer laughing.

“That man would kill me,” he told them flatly.

The moment, retold by a person with direct knowledge of the remark who asked not to be identified, was even more remarkable for its rarity.
Aides say that the president seldom discusses potential threats. His comment about the man, and its implications about the effectiveness of his bodyguards, offers a glimpse of the complex, intense relationship every president and his family have with the protectors who constantly surround them.

Was Bill Clinton called out on race? Of course not, he was too busy being labeled the first black President by the same folk that accuse President Obama of not doing anything for African Americans. It seems as though young black men have only recently begun being shot down like dogs in the middle of the streets, apparently this phenomena began in January of 2009.

Morning again everyone! So, why is Early Bird Chat two hours late?

    Um……

I was searching for Danny until six in the morning after he got out a garden gate I didn’t know had been left open by a delivery man.

I thought he was a goner, there was so sign of him anywhere, and I was walking around in circles for hours, whistling and crying like a baby! I was quite a sight.

And next thing, out of nowhere, he appears, the reunion like a scene from Wuthering Heights. (Which I’ve never read or seen, but I presume Heathcliff and Cathy hug each other at some point?)

He was completely freaked, so he was definitely lost, not just partying with the nightlife.

The gate is now bolted so severely, it will probably never open again.

I feel so, so, so lucky, he could have been killed, lost or taken, so I’m flippin’ blessed.

    So, welcome home Danny!

    • October 4, 2014 at 10:19 am

OH, NO! What a fright for you, Chips. SO happy for your reunion. Hope he stays near after that round-about!

      • October 4, 2014 at 10:21 am

Thank you Meta! My own stupid fault for not checking the gate, which I’m usually paranoid about. I feel like the luckiest human on planet earth, Danny’s wandering days are done!

        • October 4, 2014 at 10:33 am

I’ve felt that panic before. Hours pass by and you can’t breathe. Then, at long last, your pet shows up at the door. OMG.

          Take it easy today!

Morning, Chips. Morning, Danny. SO glad that you are back together where you should be. Absolutely terrifying, Chipster. Those of us that have dogs and children, understand this terror well when the little loved ones aren’t where they are supposed to be. Heartache and terror don’t EVEN touch the surface of what you feel. That said, he sounds like he’s so happy to be home with you (even DOGS know how terrifying the world is!) you might be able to get him to find all the hairbrushes he took:) Just sayin,,,,,

Your piece on King was powerful..there are many of these opportunists out there ….we see them. I would LOVE to see a response, but don’t hold your breath.

One last thought, I have never seen this photo from Scout. This is a powerful, powerful photo to dissect….it could become one (of so many!) of my favorites. Thank you for posting it this morning 🙂 Now…go bathe your dog. No telling what he got in to on his worldly adventures.

Chips, woke up too early (I’m on the West Coast) and decided to take a quick peek on TOD.

I am so happy you found Danny and so, so glad the gate is bolted shut now! I totally empathize! If my kitties ever got out without me (they go out with me to enjoy the back yard, but never alone) I’d lose my mind. I’ve been down that road before, walking up and down streets endlessly.

A lost kitty showed up at my old place once; he was meowing incessantly and I could just tell he was not a regular stray. I was able to put him in a cat carrier and take him to the local Humane Society. Turns out he was microchipped and his mom was looking for him! She came to thank me later and told me that repair men had left the door open and he had escaped (he was an indoor cat). He lived miles away! After that I got my kitties microchipped.

Welcome Home Danny from your kitty friends!

(o.k. now I’m going to go back to be for a bit and hug them real tightly) >^..^<

    • October 4, 2014 at 10:28 am

I can imagine how you felt, Chipsticks. It scary enough when they get loose and you have them in sight. But not knowing where he was…
I am relieved along with you that Danny returned safe and uninjured.

      Glad Danny’s home safe, Chips.

You should ask the vet about getting him microchipped so if heaven forbid, he wanders again, he can be tracked down and that might ease some of your worries.

p.s. You’ve never read or seen Wuthering Heights? For shame. And here I thought the Irish education system invented torture of students.

      • October 4, 2014 at 5:11 pm

🙂 I have now vowed to read Wuthering Heights, promise!!

Danny is microchipped Nerdy, but the flippin’ problem is that it’s no good unless the rascal is found.

        Thanks Legend, love ya.

SK saying he said that forty some days ago before… and he really felt that way at the time represents the problem of the press and individuals saying whatever they want without reflecting before on the consequences of their actions. Somehow free speech has become synonymous with saying what they feel or think with no responsibility of being sure it is factual, relevant, and will have positive results in the end. I have noticed the speed of tweeting has promoted irresponsible speech.

Morning and afternoon, all o y’all! After I come back from work, I have some solar/lunar data to post for you – this approaching lunar eclipse is bringing in some very potent energy; it’s universal energy, and it can be utilized to lift the human spirit. Sadly, it can also be used by the darker forces on our planet to supreess the human spirit, nevertheless, we make our own choice, every single day. All of us. Each of us. Love you all! ❤

  29. October 4, 2014 at 1:10 pm

Also meant to say how exceptional this photo of PBO and the young boy by Scout, thank you for posting it, Chipsticks. As do many of the photos of children responding to our President, this so very succinctly demonstrates how Barack Obama changes the future, when a child is touched on a deep level such as this, they forever going forward make choices which will serve the Good of All. I just feel it in my Heart. Bye!
