So, uhh, about that re-ocurrring meme that maybe the economy is growing but people aren’t feeling it?????????????
I bet every one of the 248,000 families with new paychecks this month are feeling pretty good.

In NYC this week Mayor Bill de Blasio signed an executive order raising the minimum wage for 18,000 workers to $13.13. GOP sneered because it was only 18,000. Mayor deBlasio pointed out that 18,000 families now have $10,000.00 dollars more in their pockets this year than they did last year and that was a very good thing.

People in power with good will are doing what they can to help Americans. Now all we need to do is elect more of them

And Not support the negative memes.

My kids have been complaining about the fundraising emails they receive from DCCC DSCC DNC etc. My oldest told me that he felt like Nancy Pelosi broke up with him by email last week. Here’s the thing, the media are paid not to report the good news about the economy. How else do you explain it? The Republicans are making every race one of Dem Candidate x cast the deciding vote on the eeevil ObamaCare anyway. I see no reason for the Dems in so many races to be running Defensive campaigns. Running a campaign of distancing themselves from the President and ObamaCare just reinforces the idea that it is a bad thing.

Call me insane but I would be shouting all the good news from the rooftops. This President has a tremendous economic record. Deficits cut in half, Unemployment down to 5.9% ObamaCare is saving lives, cutting health care costs and leading to huge job creation in the medical sector. And you know what, he wants to give the American people a raise, repair our roads and bridges, invest in the technology and green energy that will make us the envy of the world, create opportunity for your kids with the best education possible. All he gets in return is disrespect by a Republican party that wants you broke, sick, and scared. Vote like your future depends on it–because it does.

      Makes no sense to me.

Dem Congresscritters who shy away from the President’s economic record are cowards, afraid of their own shadows.

      • October 3, 2014 at 10:31 am

I just don’t get it. Seems like the President’s reelection campaign proved that it is better to take on health care and the economy head on. There were no depressing emails, no shying away from defending the economic record. It seems to me that the biggest problem in midterms is lack of enthusiasm and the Dems strategy seems to be compounding the problem.

GOOOOOD Morning Chips and TOD! So happy with the UE report! While I appreciate that everyone talks about PBO’s legacy as the first black president, I want him to get credit for all he has done for this country. No, the MSM will not give it to him, but history will. The accomplishments are so great with the ACA, the economy, the auto industry, Iran, DOMA and the two wars he inherited. It’s been frustratingly slow with Congress blocking all of his initiatives, but the economic turn around finally is showing in the numbers. It is a good day:-) Sure hope the First Couple are out celebrating on the town tonight after their busy days.

What planet are Fox News viewers on?

Gas prices are plummeting, headed toward less than $3/gallon in 30 states.

Their viewers are probably the same ones who don’t know that other countries sell gasoline by the liter, so you have to do a bit of calculation to compare our gas prices to those in other countries.

Another example of the insidious ways the MSM keeps PBO’s message from the public.

Yesterday, CBS radio news dismissed PBO’s speech at Northwestern University as a “political” speech (although they did play a soundbite from the speech), without mentioning the economic FACTS in that speech.

This morning they are crowing about the “lowest unemployment rate since Jun 2008” without once mentioning PBO, yesterday’s speech or the FACTS. They prefer to air talking head “economists” who basically speculate, but don’t present the actual facts like PBO did at Northwestern U.

Add this to the lengthy, and still growing, list of flubs the Secret Service reportedly made while guarding the President: the agency allowed a man posing as a member of Congress to go backstage with Obama at an event last month.

Bloomberg reported that the unidentified man accessed the backstage area during or right after Obama’s speech at the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation awards dinner on Sept. 27, citing an anonymous White House official.

Other reporting today reveals that Pierson personally wanted to cut back on security, wanting security detail around POTUS to be “more friendly, like Disneyland.” When the recommendations were for 100 agents around the WH, she wanted 30.

Expect GOP to blame PBO in 3…2….1…..

That kind of hurts the sequestration/budget cuts defense. My “warm and fuzzy” radar seemed to have been working on this one.

I’m looking for the whole article. This snippet was read on Stephanie Miller this morning. Pierson could probably still make the case that sequester cuts were part of her decision.

I now regard @peterbakernyt “journalism” as highly as I do CBS’ Lara Logan, who infuriatingly had a segment on last Sunday’s “60 Minutes.”

Gee, I think a few whites also thought the same. Apaprently NYT only thinks that blacks see a possible racist component. I think to Baker that means it falls into the “Blacks always overreact and think everything is racist” category.

When you consciously do something that’s contrary to the procedures in place, then yes, it is deliberate. SS agents have to be sticklers for following procedures.

Cable and broadcast television news networks have repeatedly hosted former Secret Service agent Dan Bongino to comment on Secret Service security lapses, but have often failed to disclose that he is a Republican congressional candidate.

After reports of Secret Service lapses were uncovered by The Washington Post, Bongino has appeared on cable and broadcast news networks more than a dozen times to discuss the security failures. In several of these appearances, the networks did not disclose Bongino’s campaign as a Republican for Maryland’s 6th Congressional District, which was announced nearly a year ago.
