Oh my, I’m sure that AG Eric Holder has discussed this with PBO, but oh how I wish he would stay until the end of PBO’s term. Best of luck in all of his future endeavors. WHAT A RIDE!! Thank you, Eric Holder, for all that you have done, seen and unseen, for us and for our country!!

Hay right wing haters, they should have came out there and roll out some carpet for our King Obama and Queen Michelle. They had no business walking in that muddy grass.

They are all like petulant children: All they do is sit around waiting for their phone to ring. Only an eight year old would think that because the official news was announced today, POTUS and the administration just started thinking about it now. First of all – how is it that all of us knew that this was in the works for the better part of a year, and the alleged MSM hasn’t a clue?

  7. September 25, 2014 at 4:25 pm

This is a rousing call to vote!

mine too. I always felt that my beloved President was extra double safe with AG Holder at helm of Justice. I’m so glad they are personal friends. But who can replace the awesomeness that was AG Holder?

In OR I am seeing the Koch Bros influence in the Governor and Senate races. Senator Merkley is using ads that are trying to connect his opponent to them. When the GOP candidate was questioned about nonsupport of women getting equal wages they came out with an ad condemning Merkley for paying his female staff less than the males. You can always fiddle with statistics to get them to favor your argument whereas a vote or pledge for a side of an issue is evidence. Too bad many do not dig into facts or check out arguments.

      • September 25, 2014 at 7:37 pm

Distraction, distraction.. won’t work. Monica Wehby is sinking like a stone. Last week her plagiarism scandal was talk of the media. Double digit leads in most polls for Merkley and Kitzhaber.

AG Holder and his people have restored the DOJ’s honor, integrity and credibility, after the horrible debacle of the GWB years.
Thank you Mr. Holder, and best wishes for a delightful future.

What those fools don’t realize is that AG Holder is going nowhere until a new AG is confirmed by the Senate.

Just watch how they freak out when President Obama announces his nominee ๐Ÿ˜€ ๐Ÿ˜€ They all could be like …. ‘oh that Holder fella ain’t so bad ….’ ๐Ÿ™‚

“RWNJs are going out of their minds blasting him”

Actually they’ve been doing this since 2009, because he’s been a very effective AG for the better good. The good thing is that he’s leaving on his own terms – as it should be. We will miss him for sure, but he’s already served longer than most AG’s, and has left a tremendous legacy that is already making a difference for millions of ordinary US citizens.

I know they have been trying minimize & disrespect him since the jump. But Eric Holder did not back down. I’ve seen him stand up to the RWNJs. I should have said that TODAY they have been blasting him….one right after the other. I am proud that Eric Holder has been our AG for the last 6 years.

I remember shortly after PBO’s second term began AG Eric Holder hinted at not planning to be there much longer. He agreed to stay on for a short while, but said he would be going before the term ended. We discussed it here then.

Expect another chop job on his interview answers. Any second thoughts on not keeping a residual force in Iraq? Do you feel you are to blame for ISIL becoming so strong? Mitt Romney says he would have made a better president. What do you say to that?

I don’t know why the President even bothers to meet with these people.

I think Steve Kroft has been fair to PBO, before he became President.

I will reserve judgment until 60 Minutes airs.

However, I was livid after last Sunday’s show at that self-serving, self-promoting (his new book) Leon Panetta and Scott Pelley’s pretty much treasonous POV.

            September 25, 2014 at 6:42 pm

I already tweeted 60 minutes and said I would change the channel if Steve Croft disrespects President by interrupting him. That I cannot tolerate

            • September 25, 2014 at 7:19 pm

Totally agree. The President handles himself very well, but what I don’t like is when they edit his answers (using the excuse of time constraints) that totally changes his answers.

Very sad to see AG Holder leave Justice. I have no doubt PBO will find someone very qualified to take over the Department, but I doubt he will find someone that he trusts in the same way. At the same time, given what he has been through with these Repubs, I am thankful for the six years he did serve. And who knows, it may be a real struggle to get someone else through this Senate, and I don’t expect he will leave if PBO can’t get someone else confirmed.

One reason why we will miss AG Holder?

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE -Wednesday, September 24, 2014
Police Officer in Fulton, New York, Pleads Guilty to Assaulting a Man in His Custody

Joseph Arigo, 47, a sergeant with the Fulton Police Department in Fulton, New York, pleaded guilty today in federal court to one count of deprivation of rights under color of law for beating a handcuffed man inside the Fulton police station.

According to court documents filed in connection with his guilty plea, Arigo was sitting at the sergeantโ€™s desk on June 28, 2014, when a handcuffed man, G.B., was brought into the police station. G.B. was yelling, but was not physically threatening any officers or himself. Arigo pulled the video camera out of the wall to stop it from recording, walked into the room where G.B. was being held, shoved his head into the bench, and punched him in the head multiple times. G.B. suffered cuts and bruising, lost consciousness, and required seven stitches. After the incident, Arigo lied to his supervisors as well as in two official reports in an attempt to conceal his actions.

Travel guru Rick Steves launches Oregon marijuana tour
    Statesman Journal
“Television and radio personality Rick Steves plans to visit 10 cities in Oregon during the second week of October to talk about travel and marijuana reform. “One thing I’ve learned in 30 years of travel is that treating marijuana as a crime does not work,” Steves said in a statement. “A better approach is to regulate it, legalize it and tax it….”

My heart is very close and dear in this beautiful family for so many reasons, however, I know that Attorney General Eric Holder has served President Barack H. Obama and the citizens of this great nation they both love so much in a professional and respectful manner. Mrs. Sharon Holder can have a part of her loving husband back soon.

Thank you, Mr. Attorney for All of the many, many sacrifices that you have made on our behalf in this nation and all across the world. Your patience, work ethics have made us proud and very grateful.

My heart is full tonight, but I have someone to dear to my life who called and comforted me because of the announcement. I love how President Obama and AG Holder go on and take care of business in spite of it all. I was reminded of that during the beautiful phone call tonight from my special and beloved one. We will be respectfully enjoying the works of Attorney General Holder for generations to come.

My love and respect goes forth to Dr. Sharon Malone Holder and their beautiful family for many years to come. Blessings go with them.

He will be missed so much, but no one can walk his walk of being the best Attorney General in my lifetime. I know he will be just fine. HZ
