Nice going, Nena! I’m still mad at the 22 Democrats who disrespected President Obama with “their joining the GOP” vote on Bergdahl yesterday. I wrote to Schrader’s campaign manager to voice my disgust. She heard me! Think I will tweet them all to stand with our President, especially today. GOP Congress cannot be trusted to tie their shoes let alone weigh in on foreign policy.

      Thanks Judith Fardig.
      Dems Not back-stab one another?

It is what they do. Too many special interests…….the drawback of it is exemplified when Dems lack the Unity needed at times.

I am not a Cuomo fan…..well…Andrew Cuomo that is. But the Press treatment of him now is slanted.
Cuomo spent less and won at a higher margin if my memory is correct than Fluffy Christie won in NJ. So why the different treatment from the media? I get the Dems. They fight their own…..in this case deservedly so. But the election is over…….Dems Move the freak FORWARD! Lets not get a Repub elected in Nov. Enough of the back-stabbings.

Micheal Moore has proven now, without a doubt that he is a bigot and a racist.
He said that in 100yrs, the only thing pres Obama will be known for his 8 yrs in office is that he was the 1st Black president.
I am not linking his comments. This guy is from MI and has done Nothing to help MI or Detroit. Calgon, please take MM away.

I am so sorry that I spent my money to go see his Movie about 911 and that same year, I bought his book.

An emoprog of the highest order: instead of aiming his fire at the nihilistic, burn down the house to get rid of Obamacare Tea Partiers, he’s dogging out the man THEY’RE fighting against. Why is Moore blaming PBO for his irrelevancy now? Where are all of his followers? What has he done lately? He has never been an Obama supporter. I remember the negative Op-ed he wrote on Huff-Puff when PBO was running for PBO. If he really meant business, he could advocate for the people who are being abused by the Snyder administration in Michigan.

    http://ewn.co.za/2014/09/10/UNs-Ban-urges-Assad-to-seek-political-solution-to-Syria-crisis

ABU DHABI – UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon has urged President Bashar al-Assad to seek a political solution to Syria’s war, saying this would help international efforts against Islamic State militants in Syria and Iraq, al-Hayat newspaper reported on Wednesday.

In an interview with the pan-Arab daily, Ban said years of war between Assad’s forces and armed rebel groups had allowed militants such as Islamic State to take root in the region.

Asked whether Assad would have any role to play in an international coalition being assembled to fight Islamic State in Syria and Iraq, the UN chief said Assad could contribute by working politically towards an end to the war in his country.

      http://online.wsj.com/articles/combat-reversals-pressure-syrias-assad-complicating-efforts-against-militants-1410311987

In a span of weeks, the Islamic State has overrun military bases in Syria’s east. In the west, the regime faces a coalition of rebels that threatens the heartland of Mr. Assad’s Alawite minority and could alter the course of Syria’s multi-sided civil war. Alawites, a Shiite-linked group that forms the backbone of the regime and pro-government militias, are angry over the loss of hundreds of troops last month after the Islamic State captured an air base in the northeastern province of Raqqa.

These developments come as President Barack Obama prepares to describe on Wednesday his own plan to defeat the Islamic State, a Sunni-extremist group also known as ISIS or ISIL. Mr. Assad’s troubles could complicate the fight against ISIS by worsening a power vacuum that has allowed the Islamist group to thrive in Syria and neighboring Iraq.

These same conditions, however, have also raised hope that pressure will drive the Assad regime to the negotiating table, tamping down the civil war long enough to concentrate efforts on defeating the Islamic State, a threat to both the regime and Syrian rebels.

        For the Crude oil?

We stopped selling our Crude in the 1970s or so after the 1974 oil embargo by the OPEC cartel. We have been importing crude oil from overseas increasingly and it has drastically been tapering of in the last 3 plus yrs. Today, US is exporting refined Oil products and our ND, TX, WY, PA, OH, etc and Cracking and Natural Gas production increase at Home,…. plus our Solar and other cleaner energy……including Car efficiency have contributed to US now importing less crude oil.

Not a great explanation, but the best I can do for now Jovie 😉

        http://www.cleveland.com/business/index.ssf/2014/09/cheaper_us_crude_oil_productio.html

WASHINGTON, D.C. — The nation’s dependence on foreign crude oil is steadily declining and within a year should be where it was in 1968, say federal forecasters.

The U.S. Energy Information Administration predicts that by 2015, imports of crude oil and refined fuels should fall to an average of just 21 percent as U.S. shale oil production increases. In contrast, imports accounted for about 40 percent of the petroleum and refined fuels consumed by Americans in 2012, the EIA estimates.

What he totally ignores are two things:

Ground support is ultimately what will be needed, but necessarily from us. There are other countries in the region that could work with Iraq on the ground. Iran already is.

Secondly, sending in group troops is the one action we can take that would actually strengthen ISIL and give it a sense of legitimacy. By our doing most of the fighting, it would, once again, be the Western (Christian) world against Muslims, and would actually give ISIL more credibility in the Arab world.

Five effing years isn’t enough time……. That would make it almost a decade from the bill’s passage. Unbelievable.

Which reminds me of a conversation I overheard at the office: I am a private contractor so this doesn’t affect me. My Evil Boss is doing everything he can to avoid providing health care to his hundreds of employees. I heard him tell the HR manager to try to price it so high, that the employees will go to ‘obamacare’.

Fine. He pays a fine, and Obamacare continues to succeed.

When people exercise their 2nd Amendment right and die doing so, I offer no sympathy. I am only frustrated when in their exercise of guns-carried-freely innocent people die.

The Robert Kennedy Tweet about the “lust demons” made me laugh. I remember way back in the day when Bobby quipped: “Some people say I talk like Bugs Bunny. I say Bugs Bunny talks like me. ‘What’s up Doc?’ is my line. The answer is usually ‘Ethel is having a baby!'”

Gosh, I grieved so over his loss to us.

    THE TIRED MARINE

A Marine boarded a train on his way home from another Iraq deployment. The train was quite crowded, and the Marine walked the entire length looking for a seat.

There seemed to be one next to a well-dressed middle-aged French woman, but when he got there he saw it was taken by the woman’s poodle.

The war-weary Marine asked, “Ma’am, may I have that seat?” The French woman sniffed and said to no one in particular, “Americans are so rude. My little Fifi is using that seat.”

The Marine walked the entire train again, but the only seat available was under that dog. “Please, Ma’am. May I sit down? I’m very tired,” he asked again. She snorted, “Not only are you Americans rude, you are also arrogant!”

This time the Marine didn’t say a word; he just picked up the little dog, tossed it out the train window and sat down.

The woman shrieked, “Someone must defend my honor! Put this American in his place!”

An English gentleman sitting nearby spoke up. “Sir, you Americans seem to have a penchant for doing the wrong thing. You hold the fork in the wrong hand.
You drive your autos on the wrong side of the road.

And now, sir, you seem to have thrown the wrong bitch out the window.”

“You’ve destroyed President Barack Obama. In almost every single show you criticize President Barack Obama and you didn’t do the same with President George W. Bush,” Ramos said to O’Reilly. “Yes I did…I was hard on Bush and I was hard on Obama,” O’Reilly shot back. “No you were not, I saw one of your interviews, it was kind of weak with President Bush,” Ramos responded.

“You can do whatever you want, but that’s not fair and balanced. If you really want to be fair and balanced, you’d have to be as strong against a Republican president as under a Democratic president.”
