He’s apologizing only because he got a whole lot of unexpected pushback on Twitter and he felt humiliated. When he first sent out the tweet, he probably thought he would receive pats on the back, numerous retweets, favorites, and attaboys. He probably even had delusional fantasies of his silly tweet going viral all over the media – “See here everyone – a picture of Obama happily greeting a domestic abuser!!!!”

I guess I shouldn’t be laughing, but……grandson got a bad report from preschool yesterday for misconduct on the school bus—–calling one of his mates names. Upon further investigation, it was revealed that the “bad” name was———wait for it——cover your ears——-Tuna Fish! 🙂

I wish President Obama would call out the Senate republicans on this. In a way that would make the news. Short statement in the briefing room, without talking about anything else. Because when the president tackles more than one subject, the networks are able to choose what part “makes news”.
Or better, President Obama invites Senator Reid into the briefing room and both make a statement. That would make the news big time. And the subtext would be pretty clear: you want gridlock to end in Washington ? Get the obstructionists OUT! Vote democrat !

Iran says it has arrested Afghan and Pakistani citizens who were trying to join Islamic State (IS) jihadists fighting in Syria and Iraq.
Iranian Interior Minister Abdolreza Rahmani said the foreigners planned to cross Iran – but did not specify how many had been arrested, or where.
Shia Iran is opposed to the Sunni extremists of IS, who have undermined its allies in Iraq and Syria.
Iran is said to be prepared to work alongside the US against IS in Iraq.

Entirely off topic but entertaining: I had a laundry basket with clean sheets in the bedroom. It must have taken Kasper an hour to knock it over, arrange the sheets into a little cocoon outside of the basket, and then fluff up what was left in the basket so he had ‘choices’ for his naps. I caught him both outside of the basket, napping, and inside the basket, napping. I need a nanny cam to capture his activities. He’s not hyper, but he is very busy all day long – arranging and rearranging things.
I still can’t find my athletic shoe. Been looking for it for days.
