BFD. One moment in this Family’s Time and Ooh La La……the whole world is now aware of her family and her Fame is now in the History books.

      Thank you Mr. President.

I love how comfortable he is….took off his suit jacket…and was able to be in the moment of wonderment…after dealing with very very hefty issues…he is still able to be in the wonderment of the moment…this is just one of the many things that I love about this President…it comes out during the kids science fair as well….

LOVE ❤ my President…and so does the world

Nerdy, you and Chips have done a spectacular job covering the NATO summit and the president’s trip to Estonia. We privileged few got to see and hear what was happening in these historic few days in a way that no one else in the US has. Our media fails the American people, but TOD delivers.

Sorry to say that I don’t believe that Ukraine/Russia ceasefire for one minute. Russia will use this as a ploy to soften sanctions against it, then trump up something to blame Ukrainians for violating the ceasefire and use that lie to justify an ever more aggressive push of its army. I hope Ukrainians use this opportunity to get themselves prepared for a long and bloody war and that NATO partners stand firm. I still have not heard the nuke threat by Russia addressed head on. I hope the NATO leaders discussed this and have a plan.

    • September 5, 2014 at 5:31 pm

Jacquie I agree with you on the ceasefire. Putin has one objective: taking possession of Ukraine. At least a good chunk of it. Since the West doesn’t want to start war with Russia, it will sacrifice Ukraine for peace. And Putin very well knows it. So he’s going to be more and more blatant about russian military involvement in Ukraine. And frankly, I’m not optimistic Ukraine can, alone, defend itself against a powerful military machine.

If you listen carefully to the speech President Obama gave in Estonia, I think that when he referred to possible set-backs, he was thinking about Ukraine. While the president is confident that in the long run, russian imperialism will be defeated and Ukraine will get its freedom back, President Obama is sadly well aware that Ukraine will suffer under russian rule for a while and that the USA, and Europe, can’t save them for the moment because it would be too costly in blood and treasure. Better be patient and let economics, and human nature, do the work…

Note: I wish that Russia is thrown out of the UN Security Council.

The Plane is now in Iran, forced to land with over 100 passengers. Now what? The chartered plane….per Iran didn’t clear and file it’s flight pattern?

Surely they will be allowed to proceed given the sensitive nuclear negotiations that are ongoing. I can’t imagine Iran wanting to jeopardise those – unless they are convinced they are being spied on and can get leverage by holding the plane over?

In eagerness to “be the first” to post something, doesn’t that make one complicit in producing incorrect info???

It would be nice if the “count to 10” rule was in effect on the interwebs – so verification can be obtained before posting.

LP, thanks so much for posting correct information about the plane!

They will, one day start WWIII because they printed from a garbage source. The US media is having a war with the US people and the rest of the world. No idea how to stop it while the GOP are very happy to ignite the flames

  20. September 5, 2014 at 4:32 pm

It’s nice – PBO looks like he really enjoyed himself – I feel happy for him to be able to steal some time for this experience. He’s going to have a wonderful time post presidency because he’s curious – about history, art, architecture, literature, public policy and helping people. ‘m sure he and Mrs O will be looking forward to travelling the world as private citizens.

USA and Cuban Government worked together while the plane went in Cuban air-space.
USA and Iran worked it out at a chartered US Plane strayed in to Iran.

That says something about this Obama Team.

  29. September 5, 2014 at 5:02 pm

    That didn’t last long ….

And, it didn’t take Vlad long to challenge NATO Article 5 …

With Russia’s armed abduction of an Estonian counter-intelligence agent and the violation of the cease fire, we have ample evidence that Vlad is not going to stop.

Bad News Keeps Coming For Scott Walker As He Trails Democrat Mary Burke In Latest Poll

Per the poll, Burke has 48% support compared to Walker’s 44%. The governor is struggling mightily with female voters at this point as the gender gap is at 15%, with 54% supporting Burke compared to only 39% for Walker. The gap is nearly fatal considering that Walker only enjoys a six-point advantage with men.

Aside from one little hiccup in the 2nd set, Serena was absolutely devastating! She’s dialed in and ready take it all! Caroline is gonna have to play a heck of a lot better than she did today to make a dent against her. Congrats Serena! Oh and thank you for making such short work of it that I won’t be late for my haircut!

OT but just reminded again about how many wonderful people there are in this world—–too bad we don’t hear enough about them, news is always so negative. An adoption agency I am familiar with in Chgo area posted a photo on its website of a beautiful 6 week old baby boy with a lot of special needs—-heart and respiratory and trachea issues etc., currently on a ventilator and asked to “help us find a forever family” for this baby. Just saw that they said they received 100’s and 100’s of applications, so many that they are no longer accepting more, said the response has been tremendous, currently going thru all the applications to find the best fit for this special little guy. People are pretty great, unselfish, generous. Very heartwarming.

Chuck Todd Wants To Bring ‘Meet The Press’ Into The 21st Century

THIS -> “But even if Todd gets new viewers to give “Meet the Press” a chance, many people continue to view the Sunday shows as too insular, lacking diversity and failing to adequately challenge politicians spouting talking points with, well, facts.” Which is why I refuse to watch on Sunday even with PBO on. That interview was done simply to gin up ratings. On one hand Todd constantly, breathlessly talks about how unpopular PBO is with all these foolish polls and then for his inaugural show who does he go get….??? The mendacity is incredible. PBO will do magnificently but the questions that Todd will ask will probably be beneath the dignity of the Presidency. There is little to no respect for this President. I hope I am proven wrong but I doubt it.
