Nena, Sen. Feinstein and Sen. McCain need to buy a bus and take a long, long, long trip together and just yell at each other throughout the trip. No matter how soft her voice maybe, I always feel that she is yelling like hell at the president, and I am so offended by her nonsense.
It pains my heart to see that senators like Diane Feinstein still have not the appreciation, respect, and commonsense of a fine statesman. PBO. I agree with almost everything in Michel Cohen’s insightful essay, with one exception – Eastern Ukraine. President Obama’s response, to the extent we know what he has done/is doing, is appropriately nuanced given the exceptionally dangerous situation Putin has created. That said, war is war and it’s been a WAR in Eastern Ukraine since Feb. War is by its very nature, chaotic. Chaotic and nuclear are not a good combination.
Putin has to be stopped. In my truly humble (and in no way, ‘telling PBO what to do’) opinion, the only reasonable ‘peace preserving’ (on a global scale) actions must include providing massive military assistance (not troops) to Ukraine, and sanctioning RU banks so that they are unable to borrow and otherwise operate in the global financial system.
These black pastors in Chgo are making me furious—–endorsing Durbin’s Repub opponent, Oberweis, a perennial candidate for anything/everything——because as we all know Repubs are just great in respecting and responding to the needs and interests of the African American communities. They are being tricked—-and are leading their congregations astray—–trying to help usher in Repub rule in Illinois.

My husband served in Korea with troops of many UN countries. He said the Turkish soldiers were the toughest fighters he ever saw. He also said their pilots would fly and land in any weather. Altogether, a fearsome group!

Anyway……another point of encouragement.
And Yet Today……many in US is unaware of this simple Geographic Fact. Also, the African Continent has 54 nations. Note that Saudi Arabia and all the nations sounding the Horn of Africa are Neither Called Asia or assigned to any other Continent.
It used to be that a Continent has a large landmass surrounded by large sea or Ocean……But those who made and drew the Atlas….World map, thought different and coined Europe as it’s own Continent. I have often wondered why UK, Ireland, Indonesia, Japan to certain extent, etc were not treated as Australia….a Continent by her own right?
It is funny how Russia is now called Europe by some……..oh well….those who made the rules?

I finally got around to watching Lady Feinstein being interviewed by Lady Greenspan this morning on MTP. You would think that after five plus years of kicking ass and taking names that President Obama would be given the benefit of the doubt when it comes to the Middle East. It is almost like bin laden and Khadafy aren’t dead, Syria is still threating to use chemical weapons, and we still have one hundred thousand American soldiers in Iraq surging and purging.
