ObamaCare Means No Longer Living With Perpetual Pain

A simple observation:

I got my bone density test today. I have had serious hip and back pain for over a dozen years. Because I am one of 20% of adult asthmatics who cannot take any NSAID’s, I live in perpetual pain. Self-employed, no insurance until ACA.

I got a bone density test today – no co-pay. Because PBO made even the most basic insurance affordable AND comprehensive.

I’m seeing a chiropractor as well as regular doctors. I need some x-rays so we know how aggressive we can be with exercise and PT. If I need cartillage-building or bone-building therapy, I have insurance. thank you, PBO and Dem’s.

All I want is to be able to run up and down the stairs to do laundry. To clean my house. To have a weekend where I can clean my sewing room, throw fabric in boxes, and feel alive the next day.

I am closer to that because of ACA. Thank you POTUS. Thank you, Nancy Pelosi.

Now let’s sustain this progress and keep the Senate and take back the House.

Au ⭐ for Doc Bobfr 😉

I ❤ these Obama Cares testimonials.

BTW, I have close to zero doubt that #PBO turned to his crew and said ‘bet ya these fools will freak about the suit more than anything that I say’ as he walked into the Brady briefing room 😉

He’s been talking for years about how he ignores the chatter–saying all but the media are immature fools. Almost like he inadvertently punked all of them yesterday. Boy did they show how superficial and ridiculous they are. It’s no wonder we have a hard time addressing the challenges we face. Too many people are ill-informed and vote against their interests because our media are not up to the task of informing the citizenry.

          True, MomSense.

Fortunately, we have each other and Twitter and blogs and an increasing percentage of the demographics that matter (women, POC, recent immigrants, young folk and even a few old white folk like me) who get their information from primary sources and share it broadly.

Sam Brownback names AfP ( Koch Brothers ) General Counsel to Kansas Supreme Court Bench

When he was nominated to the appeals court last year, Stegall came under criticism for a 2005 editorial he wrote urging “forcible resistance” to save the life of Terri Schiavo.

Nice story: When it became known after all the celebrations that one of Chgo’s Little League championship team players and his family were currently homeless, a local businessman has stepped forward to help. He has offered to pay their rent for a year in a home of their choosing. The family lost their rental when the mom’s hours as a home healthcare worker were cut—-and the dad’s part time repairman wages were not sufficient. I knew when this became known, someone would help—–Chgo fell in love with this team—-and there’s a lot of good, generous people out there. This little leaguer scored the winning run in their championship game.

Gomperts is a general-practice physician and activist. She first assisted with an abortion 20 years ago on a trip to Guinea, just before she finished medical school in Amsterdam. Three years later, Gomperts went to work as a ship’s doctor on a Greenpeace vessel. Landing in Mexico, she met a girl who was raising her younger siblings because her mother had died during a botched illegal abortion. When the ship traveled to Costa Rica and Panama, women told her about hardships they suffered because they didn’t have access to the procedure. “It was not part of my medical training to talk about illegal abortion and the public-health impact it has,” Gomperts told me this summer. “In those intense discussions with women, it really hit me.”

When she returned to the Netherlands, Gomperts decided she wanted to figure out how to help women like the ones she had met. She did some legal and medical research and concluded that in a Dutch-registered ship governed by Dutch law, she could sail into the harbor of a country where abortion is illegal, take women on board, bring them into international waters, give them the pills at sea and send them home to miscarry. Calling the effort Women on Waves, she chose Dublin as her first destination.

    Another OOPS from Gov Perry………

WASHINGTON — National Guard troops deployed to the border in Texas are visiting a food bank because they can’t afford food and gas ahead of their Sept. 5 payday, according to a report Friday by local station Action 4 News and a state senator.

Action 4 News reported that a Rio Grande Valley food bank had been contacted about 50 Texas National Guard troops who needed assistance. The troops are reimbursed for their meals, but pay for them upfront, stretching the finances of some troops who were called to southern Texas earlier this month to address an increase in unaccompanied minors crossing the border illegally.

State Rep. René O. Oliveira, a Democrat, called the situation “heartbreaking,” and offered to buy meals for troops serving near his district in Brownsville, Texas.

“These brave men and women have apparently been sent on a mission without accommodating for their most basic needs,” he said in a statement. “We need to find immediate solutions for these hungry soldiers.”
