I remember, back during the 2008 campaign, white journalists would ask then Senator Obama questions that were epic in their ignorance and he would calmly, patiently answer them and just ignore the prejudice and stereotyping that was evident in their words. But this stupidity was not limited to only white journalists/pundits.
I remember then Senator Obama did an interview with BET. I watched as the gentleman who was interviewing him (sorry, I forgot his name) asked, “So tell me, why was it important for you to marry a black woman?”
Our PBO gave the perfect response:
“Well, have you seen her? She’s fine!”

Good evening everyone! Have been on a 3 day fun trip. Did get to lurk some. Got home this evening and trying to catch up. The last thread with DuBois’s tweet was as inspirational as his devotional book. He is a real man of God and someone who knows and loves this President. Thank you Chips for highlighting them for all of us.
Now to go back and read all the other thread I have missed.
We really can never allow Republicans to get control of the White House again. Many years ago, I used to think it was “good” to switch off a little, so that the pendulum wouldn’t swing too far either right or left. But I’ve found I was mistaken. So very mistaken.
