BLACK RAGE is founded on two-thirds a person
Rapings and beatings and suffering that worsens
Black human packages tied up in strings
BLACK RAGE can come from all these kinds of things

BLACK RAGE is founded on blatant denial
Squeezed economics, subsistence survival
Deafening silence and social control
BLACK RAGE is founded on wounds in the soul

When the dogs bite
When the beatings
When I’m feeling sad
I simply remember all these kinds of things, and then I don’t fear so bad

BLACK RAGE is founded: who fed us self hatred?
Lies and abuse, while we waited and waited
Spiritual treason, this grid and its cages
BLACK RAGE is founded on these kinds of things

BLACK RAGE is founded on draining and draining
Threatening your freedom to stop your complaining
Poisoning your water, while they say it’s raining
Then call you mad for complaining, complaining

Old time bureaucracy drugging the youth
BLACK RAGE is founded on blocking the truth
Murder and crime, compromise and distortion
Sacrifice, sacrifice, who makes this fortune?

Greed, falsely called progress
Such human contortion
BLACK RAGE is founded on these kinds of things

So when the dogs bite
And when the ceilings
And when I’m feeling sad
I simply remember all these kinds of things and then I don’t fear so bad

Free enterprise, is it myth or illusion?
Forcing you back into purposed confusion
Black human trafficking or blood transfusion?
BLACK RAGE is founded on these kinds of things

Victims of violence, both psyche and body
Life out of context is living unGodly
Politics, politics
Greed falsely called wealth
BLACK RAGE is founded on denial of self

So when the dogs bite
And when the beatings
And when I’m feeling sad
I simply remember all these kinds of things and then I don’t fear so bad…. so bad

I am now in the fully relaxing phase of my vacation. Missus is working tonight and for the following 3 nights. So I’ll be mostly on my own. Watching TV, reading, having the odd cocktail here and there. Ah, heaven.

AT LAST, someone recognizes the brilliance and commitment to those in need. This is a MUST READ:

Right now on BBC4 I’m watching “Infested with Parasites”. Because of course I’d be watching that. With all the creepy crawlies extant on this globe, it’s amazing we survive.

Amazing song. Hopefully Ms. Hill will get back into the studio and document the reality of America in 2014.

Stunning, Chips!!! Thank you for sharing Lauren Hill’s tribute.

Had just posted this at the bottom of the previous thread when the new one appeared. I must say that I did not think I could despise Bibi more than I did, yesterday and over the past decades of his wretched inhumanity. But, he took it to an entirely new level of EVIL when he exploited James Foley’s death.

Will MPH feature this critical piece of info on her show on MSNBC? Will Ta’Neshi Coates write a think piece bestowing praise and support for our President’s war on poverty? What about the “Soul Patrol” poverty-pimp duo of Corny and Tarvis? Will they weigh in positively, and SOON?

Those people have their story and they will stick to it, hf.
But this editorial is very encouraging to me. Most days I despair of the trash I see while I’m drinking my morning coffee.
Tonight I’m looking forward to the newspapers arrival on my doorstep.

Hf, these haters never based their accusations on truth, so truth will not sway them even if it’s presented in indisputable terms in numbers. Our president does not brag, rant, pound the podium or act a poseur of good works, he quietly and effectively gets things done. But in the haters world, it doesn’t matter what you do, it only matters how dramatically you appear.

    • August 21, 2014 at 11:47 pm

If President Obama doesn’t use the terms “poor”, “poverty” very often, I suspect two reasons.

      1) He doesn’t like the words. They are negative. And they are overused by politicians who talk a good game but don’t walk the walk. And he does’t want to sound like those politicians who have made so many empty promises. He prefers using “those who want to enter the middle class”: it doesn’t define people in a negative way but in a positive way, in terms of their goals, their dreams.

      2) He’s very well aware that the GOP is always hitching to accuse him of working only for minorities, especially black people. And since GOP associates poverty with black people, constantly using lots of code words…

If you check Shaun King’s TL, I guess the crowd funding support for murdering cop is chock full of racist comments. I think that we should forward a copy of that to Justice Roberts…didn’t he say that there’s no more racism in America.?? Stupid ass. Ignorant. Stupid. Ass with blinders on.

Larry O says absolutely no incident report in Ferguson with the Michael Brown murder.

He’s showing it on tv right now.

It’s fucking BLANK, except for Michael Brown’s name on it.

It was the ACLU’s lawsuit that got it.

the video of Larry O’s first segment – I hope you put it in Rise and Shine.

Reign of April had raised this possibility since last week. She said that all incident reports she has seen do not have the suspect’s name – it’s always Suspect “X” or Suspect “Y” yet this report hat Browns first and last name. How did they know his name at the time of the shooting? They didn’t. The report was written WELL after Brown was ID’d and more info was known.

Actually, it is not unusual in an officer involved shooting with a death to not have an incident report from the officer. They are entitled to their 5th amendment rights, and any decent lawyer will tell them not to write one. What is unusual here, and extremely troubling, is there are no reports from the other officers that responded to the scene. There should be at least two incident reports from other officers, from what I’ve seen on video. Cover up is in full swing and was from the minute they responded.

Unfortunately, what is getting lost here is that there are a whole lot of good cops in this country. They put their lives on the line every day. And they have been put in an impossible situation with the number of guns on the streets. Simply comparing officer shootings to other countries doesn’t begin to tell the story without looking at the number of guns they face each day. Given that no other civilized country allows it citizens the kind of access to guns that we have here, it all goes back to reasonable gun control. For those here who are 50+. just think about how this country has changed under the Republican rule and the NRA on this topic alone. I can remember moving from a small town to a big city when I was in my early 20’s and it was surprising when there was an occasional shooting, coming from a town where there were none. Now it’s how many shootings day in and day out. I suspect that this more than anything has contributed to many officers’ shooting response. There are only so many things that can be changed on the policing front while we allow guns everywhere.

While I deplore your pseudo (not really deploring it but wish it weren’t Fox affiliated), your argument makes sense. I still hope that Mr. Ofc Darren Wilson, cop-killer of Michael Brown, will come out of hiding and explain himself. And his 6 bullets, two of them while the teenager was already bent forward and down. Thanks for your remark.

LOL! It is wholly unrelated to Fox News and relates to the “fox” animals. Just goes to show how badly Fox has destroyed the image of these beautiful animals. I show and breed Finnish Spitz dogs. The breed description is that they are “fox-like” in appearance. This has been my passion and hobby for 20+ years. I’d post a photo of my beautiful boy who was ranked the number one Finnish Spitz in the country the last two years if I had any idea how to do it:-)

        • August 22, 2014 at 12:05 am

Thanks for the clarification. Indeed, foxes are handsome-looking and elegant, too.

As for posting pictures, I’ll be the last person to guide you. I’ve just posted two earlier, to my great astonishment, then reposted one below out of nowhere. But when you can, please do post your No. 1 precious son. It will be an addition to the family of cats and dogs here, but will never take Danny-the-Boy’s place. He is No. 1 in TODVille.
