The eyewitness accounts all appear to be very consistent (with the exception of that cop’s “girlfriend” of course), and point to ONE thing: That boy was murdered by Darren Wilson.

Meta posted that no curfew in Ferguson tonight. Good.
    Now arrest Darren Wilson.

Is everything we see on TV Cop shows bogus?

In an officer shooting the shooter is relieved of his gun and badge and confined to desk duty.
The victim is whisked away in an ambulance.
    The crime scene is secured.
Witnesses are detained and debriefed immediately.
Autopsy results—preliminary results—are released as soon as possible.

    WTF happened here???

A local cop in a bad mood with racist tendencies and no intention to “protect and servie” murdered an unarmed teenager in the street, and we can’t have anyone owning up to that.

Sounds too much like transparency and accountability, Vicki. Those pages
got ripped out of training manuals for Ferguson and STL county PDs.

I’ve been catching up all morning, have little to add to the conversation of so many brilliant people here except thank you, everyone. ❤

Well, it has occurred to me to wonder how many of those FPD officers went to church yesterday, to pray, for what? To whom? My prayer is that they begin to see how wrong their actions, motivations and belief systems really are.

Where are all those who were so angered at the NSA……

Last week Germany was reported to have spied on Clinton and Kerry respective as SoS.

Those faking outrage are simply laughable. Did anyone hear of PBO outraged at the thought of German spying the US? No. Because he knows the game.

Merkel, Roussef, and now Turkey are making me laugh.

We should spy on friends and allies alike, and more on those “friends”.

I want to thank TOD for being a beacon for me during this disturbing time. Thank you for guiding myself and so many others through the lies and deceptions and for speaking the words that some of us can’t express as we’d like. Thank you Chips, N.W, etc for EVERYTHING! Love you guys.

      Not surprising.

When the cops and society treats one group as though they are king of the world and the other as though as they are a disease, it’s no wonder some white people feel this way. They don’t bear the brunt of centuries of hate and discrimination in all its forms.

Until white people stand up en masse and do something, racism and its ills will continue to rear its ugly head. It is not up to minorities to end this. It is up to white people.

  16. August 18, 2014 at 3:19 pm

    Inept? Lame?

Actually, not. This is but another indication of the arrogance of white supremacy that’s been on display in Ferguson beginning with the 1st bullet that Darren Wilson fired at Mike Brown.

    The Atlanta Journal-Constitution

A Texas woman died late Saturday after she was struck by a stray gunshot in the town of Helen in North Georgia.

Police said the bullet came from a small-caliber handgun carried by a 53-year-old man from Jasper, Ga. The gun accidentally discharged, and the bullet traveled across Helen’s tourist-laden Main Street and struck the woman in the side.

Bystanders attempted to administer first aid, police said, but authorities pronounced the woman dead at the scene.

The shooting took place outside the Old Heidelberg restaurant and bar, one of many Bavarian-themed businesses in Helen, a town of about 500 residents in White County, 90 miles northeast of downtown Atlanta. The town’s main route, Ga. 75, is often crowded with visitors, many of them motorcyclists attracted by the area’s twisting mountainous roads.

Officers from the Helen Police Department responded to a call of shots fired at 10:41 p.m. Saturday. They first found the 53-year-old man, identified as Glenn Patrick Lampien, sitting on a bench, his hand bleeding. Officers then learned of a second victim, the Texas woman across the street, apparently struck by the same bullet.

In an online forum sponsored by GeorgiaPacking.org, a gun-rights advocacy group, one commenter said Sunday: “Of course, HB 60 will be blamed.”

A woman posting to the Helen Police Department’s Facebook page took a different view: “Guns everywhere! This is our brand new law in action.”

Sadly this is likely the first of many such incidents.

This is so sad. So sorry for that poor woman and her family. Now you can’t walk down the street in a schmaltzy tourist spot without worrying whether some asshole redneck with a penis complex will accidentally on purpose shoot you, Damn Republicans!

Let’s pause to celebrate swearing in of our newest HUD Secretary, Julian Castro. Is he one of the youngest members of PBO’s cabinet? I remember former HUD Secretary Shaun Donovan was also in his thirties when PBO appointed him. Good cultivating our Democratic young pols in high office.

I have seen Forensic Pathologist Cyril Wecht on multiple networks….

He always says the same thing.. ” I don’t know what Michael Brown was wearing ” referring to his upper body. Yet, not one so called reporter ever mentions he was wearing a short sleeved T-shirt.

Could it be intentional ? I think so because Wecht keeps saying that if he was wearing a thin T-shirt stippling (sp ) would have been on the body . He also said there would be no residue ( stippling ) on the uncovered portions of Brown’s skin.
