Wishing you a very BEAUTIFUL DAY!

I was thinking that a “special issue” was out, and that the post was going to be for reading only. I really analyzed it because I had never seen that (closed) before.

I thought, whoa……..some serious news. As my Dr. child unit would say; mom, life is not that serious.

Good “BEAUTIFUL” Friday morning again to everyone at TOD’s place!

Wishing for each of you, a “WONDERFUL and DELICIOUSLY SPLENDID DAY” filled with some joy; happiness, laughter, sunshine, hugs, lots of love, and an overflow of God’s “AWESOME BLESSINGS.”

I’ve learned that our yesterdays are forever gone, our tomorrows are never promised, and all we have in front of us, is our “PRESENT” moment.

Live today, as though it is your last – ENJOY IT ALL!!!

There is a huge billboard at the intersection near my office and it has the Galaxy and ManU on it. I stopped at the traffic light, looked up and saw that billboard and I swear, my heart started racing and I got excited!!! LOL!!!!!

Then to top it off – ManU crushed the Galaxy – 😯

“Instead of firing, Siegel has had to hire more people. Since his employees were finally able to get reasonably-priced health insurance, he was free to invest his money in all kinds of things. He bought the Orlando Predators. He also bought a massive casino in Las Vegas. Saints be praised, he was even able to finally start work again on his gaudy, 90,000 square foot house complete with a bowling alley, a 30-car garage, and a roller-skating rink.”

Turns out that he never had any intention to flee to the Caribbean.

      Hi Judith Fardig,
Hope you have a WONDERFUL DAY!

“There’s more truth in these political cartoons than on the editorial pages of many newspapers.”

I just printed them, and I have other tweets that Donna dem 4 obama brought to the post a couple of weeks ago; outlining beautifully, the difference between Dems and the repukes, especially on women issues.

I’m completing a collage on neon colored paper to place in the teachers boxes next week, reminding them why we must vote. Many complained all year about R. Scott after voting for him, and why they made a mistake. Now, they will see why voting “correctly” matters, and how you get what you vote for.

The President has followed procedure to send troops to Iraq.

I think he had 60 days and then has to go to Congress. He notified them both times before sending anyone.

Sounds like both sides are just grandstanding to me…… They gave that power to the executive under the War Powers Act under Bush.

They are not going to change that because then they would be on record deploying troops and blaming the President would be off the table. He asked them to rein in that power and they refuse

It was known then. Hamas emphatically said it was not them. There were tapes, some claimed that the killers they spoke Hebrew. That doesn’t mean it was some Jewish group, No. It was, as was reported then, some unknown group, with more extreme ideological beliefs. It was reported many days ago that Netanyahu knew. It was after learning about this…..that I wrote here commenting on this topic and stated as such. I/P is one subject I resist to opine.

Hamas, they have their issues. They fired rockets bombs as a teen was burned alive and his cousin beaten. Netanyahu knew this and helped escalate this problem. Today nearly 800 dead, 170 plus are kids and over 3000 wounded. Who gains? None.

Just wanted to say “thank you” for posting Alexandre Dumas inspirational quotes. I’m always looking for the good through words that inspire and lift up the human spirit.

My first math student is at 6:00a.m., and I’m always encouraging him to reach for the moon when I arrive, so I give him quotes for inspiration. Needless to say, I’m always accused of enjoying this (teaching) too much, but I love your early morning inspiration with words of encouragement and music for the soul.

    Interesting…… http://www.alternet.org/news-amp-politics/open-letter-50-israeli-army-reservists-why-they-refuse-fight-gaza

To us, the current military operation and the way militarization affects Israeli society are inseparable. In Israel, war is not merely politics by other means—it replaces politics. Israel is no longer able to think about a solution to a political conflict except in terms of physical might; no wonder it is prone to never-ending cycles of mortal violence. And when the cannons fire, no criticism may be heard.

    • 115 desertflower
      July 25, 2014 at 1:45 pm

The Israeli Army, a fundamental part of Israelis’ lives, is also the power that rules over the Palestinians living in the territories occupied in 1967. As long as it exists in its current structure, its language and mindset control us: We divide the world into good and evil according to the military’s categories; the military serves as the leading authority on who is valued more and who less in society—who is more responsible for the occupation, who is allowed to vocalize their resistance to it and who isn’t, and how they are allowed to do it. The military plays a central role in every action plan and proposal discussed in the national conversation, which explains the absence of any real argument about non-military solutions to the conflicts Israel has been locked in with its neighbors.

The Palestinian residents of the West Bank and Gaza Strip are deprived of civil rights and human rights. They live under a different legal system from their Jewish neighbors. This is not exclusively the fault of soldiers who operate in these territories. Those troops are, therefore, not the only ones obligated to refuse. Many of us served in logistical and bureaucratic support roles; there, we found that the entire military helps implement the oppression of the Palestinians.

Bibi’s slaughter of the innocents continues …. some dare call it genocide ….

“8:24 P.M. IDF artillery shell hits hospital in Beit Hanoun, according to eyewitness Palestinian reports. Hospital personnel, civilians and volunteers from the International Solidarity Movement are trapped inside. Earlier Friday, an IDF shell hit a private ambulance on its way to pick up wounded. According to Gaza’s Health Ministry, one medic was killed and another was seriously wounded.

Overnight, the IDF struck al-Dora Hospital in Gaza. a one-year-old baby hospitalized in the intensive care unit was killed and 30 other patients were wounded. At least 52 Palestinian civilians were killed by IDF fire in the Gaza Strip between Thursday night and Friday evening. (Amira Hass)”

I can’t believe how little attention that has got Meta – well, I can when we’re talking about the American media. But by all accounts, they knew the three teenagers were dead from early on, but kept it quiet so they could whip up a frenzy. This is an entirely manufactured onslaught. Incredible how little that is discussed.

        July 25, 2014 at 2:02 pm

Exactly, meanwhile Gallup put a “poll” claiming 42% of Americans say Israel’s actions were justified vs 39% who don’t.

        • July 25, 2014 at 2:05 pm

That Gallup is even still in business after their 2012 shilling …. oh dear.

I wouldn’t trust a single word out of Gallup’s mouth.

It really just gets worse every day. I detest Netanyahu and I worry that the people of Israel can’t see what he’s doing to them along with the people of the entire region. It’s now clear that these are war crimes.

PBO is in a very terrible position.

        • July 25, 2014 at 2:11 pm

An impossible situation Meta, I would love nothing more than for him to condemn Netanyahu, but I know he can’t because of the politics of it all. It’s maddening.

          • July 25, 2014 at 2:16 pm

It hurts my heart just thinking about what he must be feeling right now. Knowing that so many children have been killed, families heartbroken, homes shattered — sheer anguish. He knows Netanyahu is incapable of rational negotiation for his very own long term strategic interest. It’s crazy making and maddening and makes me want to scream.

Putin and Bibi are taking the GOP play book on how to start wars and get your enemies to take the bait while getting support of your people. They know America had no moral ground for condemnation of their actions.

Does that make sense that you start a war over something like that? Yes Israel have a right to defend itself, but over 800 Palestinian are dead. PM Netanyahu has wanted to start a war for some time and it look like he got his wish.

Steve Benen is so on point with this….

“The notion that schmoozing will lead to progress rests upon the assumption that congressional Republicans are responsible officials, willing to negotiate and work in good faith, and prepared to find common ground with Obama. All they need is some face-time and presidential hand-holding. Once they can get along on a personal level, a constructive process will follow.”

“It’s a pleasant enough fantasy, and I wish it were true, but everything we’ve seen points in the opposite direction.”

I am happy to see that some people are starting to see that these Tea Republicans had no attention of compromising with this President. McCain is a pitiful bitter old man, who never have gotten over the fact that Obama took his chance away to be President.

They don’t want to be SEEN with the President in fear of being teabagged and labelled an appeaser. The interview on Fake Noise was to show independents they want to work with PBO but he won’t.

House Votes To Boost Well-Off Kids, Cut Out Poor Kids

According to an analysis by the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities, that means a mom working full time at a minimum wage job would receive no help from the credit — because she would be earning only $14,500. Indeed, that mom would lose $1,725 under the new bill, while a family of four earning $150,000 would gain $2,200, according to the center’s analysis

25 Democrats voted yes on this travesty. Including some that keep filling up my in box begging for money.
