read the article and wrote a comment below. I am not pro-Hamas, but I have to start thinking about it a lot deeper now. I remember reading about how the Native Americans were considered ‘savages’ and ‘animals’ and other groups of people. The question I have is Hamas really the monster here that so much of the media propagates? Is israel really defending itself? It sounds like Bibi might have had an active hand to play in these teens deaths to start a war.

While I was taking this pic of tonight’s sunset (unusual to have clouds here) I noticed that there are TWO Monarch caterpillars on my milkweed plant. I check it every morning and night and haven’t noticed these critters before — I think the plant will be devoured in two days, LOL.
Now on my shopping list tomorrow is: milkweed plant(s).
Happy Friday to all. Has anybody else noticed that this “GOP wave” is failing to materialize and these assholes are in panic mode. From Boner’s bogus lawsuit (which is firing up Dems more than GOP) to the constant chatter about impeachment, the never ending quest to give red meat to the mythical GOP “base” seems to be getting less and less return. Of course the corrupt media refuses to discuss how radical and RISKY the GOP’s do nothing strategy truly is, but in today’s media one often can learn more from what is NOT discussed. The only voters who approve of the do nothing GOP are the tea partiers, and there are not enough of them to carry the day. Dem candidates in these House and Senate races are given more and more ammunition by the GOP’s clearly partisan game playing that is harming the country. Many of the “vulnerable” Dem senators are doing surprisingly well according to the latest polling. Of course silly season is in full swing, and the MSM/GOP are pulling out all the stops to depress Dems and energize/protect the GOP, but reality seems to be running contrary to the constant stream of propaganda. The GOP has done so much to energize the various members of the Obama Coalition. From the war on women, to the war on Black folks’ voting rights, to the blatant racism and hatred directed at the Latino community, the GOP has awoken a giant that was self-satisfied and asleep in 2010. PBO has been Black for his entire Presidency, so I find it hard to believe that racism alone will be enough to provide the GOP with victory. All this “dog whistle” shit and hate peddling never really made sense to me (it turns off true Independent voters and energizes Black voters). I always thought having a Black man in the White House was enough motivation to turn out the racist vote, so why the need for so much red meat? Tune out the propaganda, spread the TRUTH and keep a positive mindset. YES WE CAN!!!!

I mentioned in Jan that the lightbulb went off for me and I realized that the MSM/Koch’s worse nightmare would be for Dems to control both the legislative and executive branches of govt (and SCOTUS shortly thereafter).
Hence their ridiculous grasping at shadows latching onto the lame GOP attacks.
Their biggest complaint while PBO was in LA was “who did Obama have dinner with on Wednesday night!?!?!” LOL.

Eric you are SO right about all of this. I also believe that all of these sudden, urgent international crises have been in part hyped up and exaggerated in the media for the same reason. To distract, foment unnecessary rifts and controversy, right before a major election etc. Some of the images I’ve seen on Twitter supposedly depicting current events are actually taken from prior events that happened years ago. Watch all of that die down after November – mark my words.

An interesting read and made me realize something about Hamas. Maybe they aren’t the vile villains that the media has portrayed them to be. As a matter of fact Hamas and Al-Qaeda have absolutely nothing in common. I was reading another article earlier about how a reporter was in Gaza and Hamas hardly even attacked him. Would a terrorist organization such as Al-Qaeda act in such a fashion? As a matter of fact they’ve beheaded reporters.
I have a lot to think about when it comes down to it.
Hamas got their start convincing young teenage boys and girls to become suicide bombers, going into crowded civilian places to blow up as many people as they could. Hamas is bad, always has been bad. Until Hamas started their suicide bombing campaign people circulated freely from Gaza into Israel and even held jobs there. They got voted in once, haven’t allowed a free election since, after they took control militarily of Gaza, murdered Fatah soldiers by throwing them off the top of buildings. They terrorize their own citizens in addition to everybody else. Just because Israel is doing a bad thing by rampant killing of civilians in Gaza, don’t try to redeem Hamas and turn them into anything good or decent. Because they are not.
Just got back to actually read the tweets, NW. Still chuckling like a damn fool over the Columbus one. Ha!
