Morning, everyone. Once again I’m grateful we have a cool and collected leader in Obama. No matter what turmoil is elsewhere, I can trust his judgement and his compassion.

Did you hear about the stuff at Ben Gurion airport?

And see the Progress? on my site:

    http://www.aquariusmoon.info.

Working on a site is pretty lonely work, and sometimes I like to have some visitors. Sorry for the appearance-still under heavy construction.

Morn in’ Chips! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for this wonderful place. Usually I’m so far behind I don’t try to comment, but today I’m up early and there you are, and here I am. Blessings to all at TOD and my gratitude for all you do every day to keep us informed, upbeat and encouraged to move ever forward! Love you guys so much.

Morning everyone. I hope Kerry has a chance to knock some semblance of sense into Bibi today. He’s created a situation that’s now out of control and he has to stop. Today is county fair set up day, so there will be lots of work ahead to make sure we put on our best face. Have a beautiful day, everyone. With the president at the White House today, I know that something positive will happen.

Btw, am in rural, red red area of Texas, but see signs of support even here, for Wendy Davis. First time in years, we’ve had as strong candidate to challenge the entrenched cray-crays. Hoping for a big turnout but so hard to get folks motivated. Bit by bit, folks are realizing they’ve been duped and mislead. I’m doing as much as I can to spread the truth. Have two new voters going with me to vote. Not a lot, but every vote counts!

  6. July 25, 2014 at 8:06 am

G’morning Chipst & TOD! Happy Friday everyone. 🙂 Isn’t SOS Kerry one of the hardest working public servants this country has EVER seen?

    • July 25, 2014 at 8:08 am

Mooooooorning Hopefruit!!! He’s a dynamo, his schedule is extraordinary.

    • July 25, 2014 at 9:10 am

has there been an outline of what the terms of the ceasefire will be….that Kerry and company are negotiating…

…how do you negotiate with folks who blow up hospitals…blow up a UN refuge site… that if is a refuge for civilians…using the excuse that your enemy is hiding there and not caring if innocents are killed…

will Israel be held accountable for this

      .

        July 25, 2014 at 9:39 am

Pf, the one thing Kerry has going for him is that Israel has now created a monster it can’t control and it’s really not going well for them. They have long since entered the war crime territory and the tide is turning against them. Kerry is offering Bibi a lifeline. He may be too stupid to grasp it, but I hope he isn’t. As for accountability, Israel has lost so much in this ill-fated venture that I really don’t think it will recover.

  7. July 25, 2014 at 8:19 am

Good morning TOD. Hi ya, Ms. Chips.
    What a lovely day!
    Congratulations Carol for being first!
Sandee, every little bit helps. So glad that YOU are doing whatever you can.
I meditate on 2 Kings 6:16. “And he answered, fear not for they that be with us are more than they that be with them.”
We are on the right side of history. I feel that in my whole body.
Whenever I get discourage I come here.

I have a very busy weekend and will lurk whenever I can.
So everyone have a great weekend and thank God our President is back home.
I am looking forward to reading about FLOTUS and the girls’ night out.
Time for a nice long walk…..

Ms. Chips, once again that pic is unbelievable!
I just had to go back and the look in the woman and little girls eyes are just remarkable.
I do not know if they are connected, but their glaze upon our President connects them.
It is as if they are transfixed by a light or glow. It is absolutely beautiful.
Okay.. Let me go before I start tearing up……again.
    Thank You.

  12. July 25, 2014 at 8:49 am

Apparently they’re polling impeachment? And yet a pew poll yesterday said republicans are more enthused about voting than democrats?
    How?
Why don’t democrats like to vote?

    • 34 hopefruit2
      July 25, 2014 at 8:53 am

Jovie I don’t know why you insist on reporting these bogus polls as if they’re valid.

      • July 25, 2014 at 8:58 am

I am just wondering why a house hearing about suing the president was initiated yesterday?
Why a democratic congressman called house republicans cuckoo for thinking about impeachment?
Why the Republican chair defended the cuckoos in his party?
Why democrats, as a result of, don’t like to vote historically in midterms?

        • 36 hopefruit2
          July 25, 2014 at 9:06 am

LOL! All excellent questions Jovie. However, my original question to you still stands. 🙂

        • 39 jackiegrumbacher
          July 25, 2014 at 9:18 am

Jovie, the GOPers are practicing distraction, distraction, distraction. Boehner is desperate to please the tea nuts because that’s the only way to keep them in the game and save his bacon. He long ago decided that keeping his job is more important than keeping his soul.

There are three reasons Dems vote less in midterms, in my opinion: 1) Unlike Republicans who have a fairly uniform constituency that respond to authority, Dems have a big tent of various groups who come and go as it pleases them and do not answer to a call to arms; 2) Presidential elections, as PBO said, are hard to ignore–they take up all the oxygen in the air, they’re glamorous, everybody knows the names involved, so people roust themselves to vote; 3) Mid terms are confusing–lots of names, less clarity about what the candidates represent and what the positions are for. Believe it or not, it’s is not clear to many non active voters how a state rep differs from a US congressperson–a situation I’ve encountered many times.

The only solution is that we all work overtime to get the word out.

          • July 25, 2014 at 9:23 am

Or maybe they only think that the president has the ultimate power and don’t understand government?

              July 25, 2014 at 9:40 am

Exactly. Our educational system no longer teachers the basics or else kids don’t pay attention. They simply don’t know who or what they’re supposed to vote for.

    Goooood Morning….TODDDDDDD……..

praying that a real solution can happen finally…

the President challenged the Israeli people…particularly the Israeli youth….to pick a different path…he told them that it is in their hands….

    • July 25, 2014 at 9:19 am

      PF58,

Thank you for posting that “Black Like Me” video a couple of days ago.

I read that book in the 1960s, but led such a sheltered life and lacked the empathy skills to really appreciate it.

I hope it’s required reading for all journalists now, regardless of race, who should be instructed to imagine being in that John Howard Griffin’s shoes, and to consider what it takes to be a real journalist — i.e., get out of your comfort zone of cheering on only people like yourself.

McCain Calls Botched Arizona Execution ‘Torture’02

McCain told Politico that he does not intend to speak with Brewer about the execution.

“It’s a state issue,” he said. “The decision is made by the state legislature and the governor.”

The botched execution in Arizona followed two similar instances with lethal injections this year in Ohio and Oklahoma.

Huh ? Does the 8th Amendment not apply to Arizona Senator McStupid ?

Indeed, and most pundits, even the ones who praise PBO, fail to take this undeniable fact into account.

Hf, I’d like to RT this a thousand times. Wish he had said President Obama, though.

    • July 25, 2014 at 9:23 am

Yep, journalists can’t seem to remember the freefall that the economy was in, beginning in mid-Sept 2008.

They seem to forget how somber President Obama’s first inaugural address was, how jobs were evaporating, stores closing and two lengthy wars raging.

See my comment to Linda re: John McCain upthread.

    Good Morning Beautiful Family! 🙂

Got your morning coffee ready for you, right here.

Have you heard Reverend Barber’s NetRoots speech yet? You really ought to (posted at the end of the last thread)… If you’re pressed for time, nibble on the last 6 minutes. But eventually, you must do yourself the favor of going back to enjoy the full meal. I tell you, it’ll do you good!

    Congrats and good luck Carol!
Beautiful picture, Chips! Thank you soooooo much!

    Have a splendid day everybody!
Keep striving to get above The Snake Line.

It’s all up to them ?

      • July 25, 2014 at 12:06 pm

why is it always on the oppressed folks….

        as i said….earlier….

        a Ceasefire is a start…

Israel has to agree to the 1967 borders… stop settlements….agree to a two state solution…..and altho loss of civilian life can never be repaid…there must be some kind of restitution…

other wise it is just words…till next time…

What a day that was, Jovie! I was biting my fingernails and my stomach was in knots until that thing landed and the astronauts emerged. Everyone I knew was shouting with joy. We had a little black and white tv in those days, so I didn’t see all those great colors.

Good morning TODville, It is a beautiful morning in Montana. Just wish our political news was better. I am afraid MT will have a very corrupt rich Repub Senator now that our Dem candidate has been found to have plagiarized his thesis. I have been so busy with company and sick at heart because of it that I have ignored it. Not sure what is going to happen here.

Off to more taking our company to hot springs today. Back to lurking for the day.
