Chips butting in on Nerdy’s post:

A year ago today, the weirdest thing happened: Manchester United and Chelsea teamed up.

Well, me and Nerdy.

Yup, it’s exactly 12 months since Chelsea Girl took over the running of TOD with me, and I don’t have to tell you how much she has contributed since then, or how much work she has put in to the site with wonderful posts like this, every single day. And without her, TOD honestly wouldn’t even exist any more.

Nerdy?

Thank you for everything – your intelligence, your energy, your passion, your determination, your dedication, your friendship, and your support.

It was a very, very happy day when you came in to TOD’s life, and mine.

Thank you Chelsea Girl.

Your one year “at it” with Chips has been superb, NW! Hope you never get bored hearing all the “thank you” comments, daily, because – I don’t speak for anyone but myself but I do know – none of us ever want you to think we take either of you for granted.

I appreciate this tangible support for the Palestinians but I resent the fact Netanyahu and his government, acting like vengeful children, willfully create havoc and the US has to go in and pay for (some of) the resulting damages.

Happy Anniversary to Chips & Nerdy Wonka. You both have made this a place to come to learn the facts of what this president & his Administration are doing to move this country and the world forward where everybody should have an equal say, not just the wealthiest few and tyrants. Whenever the President makes a speech or goes on a trip, this is the place to witness it all.

    http://www.mediaite.com/tv/friday-cable-ratings-new-day-beat-morning-joe-4-out-of-5-days-last-week/

This makes me smile 😉 🙂

For the fourth consecutive morning on Friday, CNN’s New Day came out ahead of MSNBC’s Morning Joe in both the 25-54 demo and total viewers. Bolstered by breaking news out of Ukraine and Israel, New Day had its highest ratings of week on Friday with 136K in the demo and 429K total viewers. Morning Joe came in third with 76K in the demo and 342K total while Fox & Friends remained #1 with 234K in the demo and 1.069M total viewers.

And it is the Fox 1.069M that drives the News.

    ABC, NBC and CBS
    5M pls for ABC.

    4-5M for NBC

    3M for CBS.

Fox since 2002 is the driver of how News is Covered? That is the shame.

Ayman Mohyeldin on with Chris Hayes told me something I did not know. Please keep reading.

Shocking, is that there has not been and Ayman now covering his Third Israeli Palestine War has not seen any evidence that Hamas uses human shields.
“Hamas uses human shields” is the #1 Israeli talking point and the first answer Mark Regev gave on the day the boys were gunned down on the beach. Implying that the boys were put there to protect hamas fighters. Sick!

According to Ayman— there has also never been corroboration that Hamas hides weapons in homes or schools or hospitals. No proof. No evidence. Never. None.
Not just Ayman’s observation, he told us, but from any regular reporter in Gaza for this war or the two previous wars. A claim here or there. Never substantiated. But no corroboration. Just the Talking Point endlessly repeated.
    ——————————————————————————————-
    My thought is
The Bush doctrine of pre-emptive war.
The Israeli doctrine of pre-emptive demolition.

No wonder NBC tried to shut Ayman Moyheldin down.

    Woot!

If the @LATimes sources are right, President Obama and FLOTUS could be spending way more time in Cali after Jan 2017.

Looks like Malia and Sasha may be interested in Cali for their undergraduate eduation?

      Thought just occurred to me.

Is LA about half way between Chicago and Hawaii (or as close to half way and still be on mainland US)?

Could there be TWO Presidential Libraries for PBO?

I’m keeping my fingers crossed for “Yes.” Would love to see the Hawaii Presidential Library become a must for scholars/tourists from Asia, and perhaps build upon some of the anthropological work that was Ann Dunham’s passion.

Thanks for posting this Arapahoe. That rumored plan seems to make a lot of sense. As much as it would be great for them to come back to us here in Chicago, it’s not always easy to “come back home” and this place would give them a huge amount of personal freedom that I just can’t see them having as easily here in the city.

    • July 21, 2014 at 9:01 pm

I would love for them to live in California!! But I’ve also read that they’ve bought a house in South Carolina. LOLz. So who knows?
The house looks like it’s surrounded by beautiful mountains – very restful. And it’s secluded enough for them to have lots of privacy.

    • July 21, 2014 at 9:16 pm

…my strong feeling is that the President will not go into a easy peasy retirement when his presidency is over….I believe that he will head up the OFA and continue to organize about those issues that he feels strongly about…..Just. Imagine. That…. 😀

    • July 21, 2014 at 9:26 pm

Just a thought (that I thought I posted earlier, LOL).

Isn’t LA as halfway between Chicago and Hawaii as you can get and still be on the mainland US?

Wouldn’t THAT be great, to have TWO Presidential Libraries?

Chicago makes most sense for the majority of Americans, but I would love to see a Hawaiian Presidential Library that would attract scholars and tourists from Asia. It could also provide a tribute to Ann Dunham and the work she was so passionate about. Perhaps a foundation to promote archipelago anthropology?

This blog will be a essential source for future historians. Thanks for your dedication and love!!

Time really does fly! Congrats. Chips and NW for a one year anniversary! You both have been such a powerful force in keeping oldies like me educated and tuned in on everything about the Obamas. My schedule is so crazy and that’s why I usually come here late at night. Nevertheless, I always make sure to read everything posted. I hope all your posts will be preserved for future historians, because they will serve as a major antidote to all the vile negativity and false narratives, which have been routinely promoted by the right wingers and their mainstream media enablers, about the Obama presidency.

Thank you for all your tireless work and all your love in producing this incredible blog.
