Chips and vetivera, hi back you two.
What I logged on to say got sidelined by my “first.” Get so excited I lose my head.
My intention was to comment on the great success PBO and the US has gotten in Iran.
The talks went so smoothly that they will be resumed in a few months.
Meanwhile some monetary restricions on Iran are lifted so they are happy.
Nuclear develoment has been Stopped and as far as nuclear weapons go—-from what i understand (not much) the USA has had complete victory in eliminating threats.
Because this is Such Good News For President Obama it has gotten little to no coverage by the once-again outsmarted doomster media.
Yes, I’ve never seen a President working so hard and maintaining this pace throughout his presidency. I remember one President who was on vacation all the time, in Camp David and Texas. Ah, that president should have been a painter and the world would be a better place right now. What a gifted hand for those dog portraits!
She is not stopping being a Republican and will continue to support GOP candidates. She is just fed up with Mitch. She doesn’t AFAIK, go into reasons. Maybe he isn’t conservative enough.
57, if she and others like him vote against him, I really don’t care what their motivate is. The primaries are over in Kentucky. If you’re a Republican and you can’t stand McConnell, you either vote for Allison or you don’t vote. You could try writing someone in, but in any case, we win.
They are still motivated voters. You don’t see a large ‘disillusionment’ movement that translates to not voting. These bastards vote, at reliable, impressive numbers.
Your point about the primaries being over is well-taken. That being said, they hate Dems more than they hate the likes of McConnell, and they are spiteful. I sincerely hope you’re right, and this woman said that she would not vote. We’ll see. I’m skeptical.
I feel like giving this woman a standing ovation and shouting “Brava! Brava!” We are all sick of McConnell and beg the people of Kentucky to rid us of this man.
Too many folks hurting around the world. Not enough hands to help and willing hearts to sustain. Yesterday I listened to Rev Barber. If I felt sad before he push the fire right back in me.

I don’t know, Vicki, but if there is a way THIS administration will find it. We were all told for years that the only solution to the Iran nuclear buildup was a war with Iran, but President Obama wouldn’t accept that. I know he will persevere and eventually he will find the answer.
I agree with what you’re saying.
BBC news is celebrating the opening of Iran to new business opportunities. The world recognizes President Obama’s accomplishments and covers it.
GOP media here, not so much.
If they vetoed, that would really tell the tale. However, backing it and allowing it are two different things. If they really support a true investigation, they will tell their surrogates to back off and hand over everything that has been carted away from the site.
Correct, John. And, that has not happened yet, for sure. Various groups of Russian led thugs continue to impede investigation at the site. Only positive action at this point is the reported transfer of the planes ‘black boxes’ to Malaysian officials. Whether those recording devices have been tampered remains to be determined.
The problem is this, yes Israel has a right to defend itself but it has only killed less than 75 Hamas militants.
Hamas knew this also, that’s why they did it. They want all out war as does Israel.
It’s sad!
Another six day war coming up.
Sorry again for repeating myself, Jovie, but Hamas the apparatus, didn’t start this event. Netanyahu and Co knew this. The killings of 3 Israeli teens by an unknown group started this and Netanyahu used that to inflict this crisis.
Do you want me to be your surrogate and chastise her on your behalf? Of course, that would mean I will be subject to an unwarranted amount of abuse, but I am willing to accept that.
Thanks for your willingness to put yourself in the line of fire, J. True friends are not always readily SEEN in this village so your offer is much appreciated. However, not wanting to jeopardize your on-again off-again possible improbable future relationship with uknowho, I’m planning to note each incident mentally and train for the time when I’ve overcome this techie deficit. THEN it’s going to be a 1, 2 ‘punch’ to take ….. out.
There are definitely people around here that you can legitimately go after, well, one, AMK. But VC is dealing with a handicap and abusing her isn’t fair.
FTR, you can expect the opposite, CC. See, because it’s slow and defective, I cannot dance back and forth to different links so I’m simply sitting here. Even moving up and down this one thread is slow business! Twitter is still out of reach, go figure! I can click on tweets posted here and read them, but I cannot access my own account, so in effect I cannot comment/retweet/ or whatever there. 🙄
When I know that, I’ll be well on my way to making things right! I was telling Lib_L earlier I’m even willing to send some (alcoholic) spirits to soothe their angst.
HF, all my prayers are with this herculean effort by Kerry to resolve the nightmare of this invasion. Decent people around the world are growing more and more sickened by Israel’s total disregard of life. There has to be a resolution that gives the Palestinian people a dignified place in the world.
I think going forward we should wait to hear from John Kerry or the State Department on the Gaza/Israel situation. There is a lot of propagandized reporting going on so let’s exercise due caution and wait for the facts.
During Monday’s Ronan Farrow Daily, MSNBC guest Rula Jebreal criticized MSNBC, its sibling NBC News, and other news outlets for vastly over-presenting the Israeli side of the Israel-Hamas conflict. “We are ridiculous,” she said, meaning the media. “We are disgustingly biased when it comes to this issue.”
“Look at how much airtime Netanyahu and his folks have on air on a daily basis,” she said, naming Farrow lead-in Andrea Mitchell in particular. “I never see one Palestinian being interviewed on these same issues.”
Farrow objected that NBC had other voices on. “Maybe for thirty seconds, and then you have twenty-five minutes for Bibi Netanyahu,” she responded.
She now sees how we feel about ALL of the Obama coverage by everyone of these cable shows. It’s always biased towards Republicans. Picking sides and riding that wave is what the cable punditry does best….
Good for her. Enough of one-sided propaganda. The idea of covering news from both sides is absolutely foreign to the American media. It’s absurd that anyone should have to tell them something so obvious.
Many the the LGBTQ community are always quick to charge……pres Obama should understand A or B whenever in their self interest pres Obama has Not Lived up to all their wants and needs.
In The US media, should any one dare to frame a question as such, that person and the network will be accused of all kinds of stuff.
Now had this been said by a Muslim, prominent or not, the media will air it.
This needs to be retweeted the heck out of, or whatever. This is the thinking at the top in Israel. I know it isn’t the thinking of the majority of Israelis, but the ones with the power think this way.
There are no words for the level of sheer bigotry this statement represents. And the terrible irony is how much it echoes the bigotry the Nazis incited against the Jews and used as an excuse for their extermination. How could this man not see what he has become.

This is city-wide, Linda. In older buildings where tenants live in rent-regulated apartments in which the landlord adds “amenities” such as gyms and childrens playrooms the older tenants are barred from them.

A local Republican Party leader in Kentucky has resigned her position in act of protest against Sen. Mitch McConnell.
bye-bye Mitch
^5 to that woman for finally waking up. Better late than never.
She is not stopping being a Republican and will continue to support GOP candidates. She is just fed up with Mitch. She doesn’t AFAIK, go into reasons. Maybe he isn’t conservative enough.
I know. Half a loaf of bread is far better than none. I try in cases like this to see the glass half full 😉
He’s not wingnutty enough for her, so don’t give her any credit.
57, if she and others like him vote against him, I really don’t care what their motivate is. The primaries are over in Kentucky. If you’re a Republican and you can’t stand McConnell, you either vote for Allison or you don’t vote. You could try writing someone in, but in any case, we win.

I feel like giving this woman a standing ovation and shouting “Brava! Brava!” We are all sick of McConnell and beg the people of Kentucky to rid us of this man.
“Things Go From Bad To Worse for Mitch As Kentucky GOP Leader Resigns To Protest McConnell .”
Not fast enough! That man needs to be “cantorized”.
Well, that’s a step in the right direction. Now I’d like to see them stop tampering with the victims’ remains.
I’m deep in me water works and asking why. 😦

Good gawd, this is pure and utter barbarism.
Yes…Jefferson Obama has a photo. I won’t put it here
3 hospitals attacked, now this
Both sides in this conflict have now stated what their goals are.
Gaza wants the siege lifted. Gates opened, electricity and water restored.
Israel wants the missle bombardment to stop. (They also want to prevent Al Jazeera from covering the conflict.)
Both sides are intent on meeting their goal and denying the opponent any victory.
Someone please tell me how a cease-fire is acheived.

BEAUTIFUL INDEED…I LOVE TO WATCH PBO DURING THESE EVENTS BECAUSE YOU CAN SEE HIS COMPASSION AND HEARTFELT GRATITUDE FOR THE MILITARY!
Ambassador Power is holding Russia accountable in one of her most forceful UN Security Council statements ever. She is such a force for good.
Unfortunately…….the world is watching, yet the massacre continues.
I am sure the dead are currently excluding the Horror as Richard A of NBC’s Twitter Line has been reporting.
The problem is this, yes Israel has a right to defend itself but it has only killed less than 75 Hamas militants.

It’s more than a crisis. I read yesterday, “Netanyahu used what should have been a police action to start a war.”
The only ones that started this was Israel by treating people like garbage and reflecting behavior of those they claim to despise aka the Nazi party.
Israel started this and it is inhumane. The United States of America should not be funding this.
To Dulles airport ? Awesome!!!

I feel like I’m turning in to VC 🙂
You have just entered the Twilight Zone…
*ahem* *ahem*
*cough*
Are you going to let her get away with that?
My weapon isn’t working well, Japa, so I have to swallow a lot over the next few days. I’m never sure if, or when, it will function.
VC. You are one funny lady 😆
Wait a minute! Careful now. Is that ‘funny’ along the same line as Japa’s ‘dealing with a handicap’?
Well, it’s both funny peculiar and funny hilarious.
Bases covered, eh? 😀 😀
I appreciate that.
😉 😉 We understand each other, I think.
Oi you!
There are definitely people around here that you can legitimately go after, well, one, AMK. But VC is dealing with a handicap and abusing her isn’t fair.
Well, that’s very unfair on VC, her personality is what it is, we just have to accept it.

She was spot on here and I agree with her 100 percent. People are so brainwashed to think that Israel is in the right on this issue.
I am glad she called out Mrs Greenspan…..( the ” foreign policy expert ” )
She now sees how we feel about ALL of the Obama coverage by everyone of these cable shows. It’s always biased towards Republicans. Picking sides and riding that wave is what the cable punditry does best….
I hope she considered that, knew the possible outcome, then went for it anyway because it was the right thing to do.

This needs to be retweeted the heck out of, or whatever. This is the thinking at the top in Israel. I know it isn’t the thinking of the majority of Israelis, but the ones with the power think this way.
Are those words spoken above Not Considered Hate speech and Bigoted?
Reading the Tweet summary by NW at My Brother’s Keeper event as stated by POTUS and then having read these comments……I shrunk 1 inch in height.
That’s funny, Hitler said the same about the Jews.
There are no words for the level of sheer bigotry this statement represents. And the terrible irony is how much it echoes the bigotry the Nazis incited against the Jews and used as an excuse for their extermination. How could this man not see what he has become.
As much as I condemn the rhetoric of some in the ME that Israel should be wiped off the face of the earth, I consider this language even worse.
I’m sorry but I don’t. Not even close to the same thing. Considering this man just recommended wiping out an entire race of people.
So you do agree with me.
oh sorry I misread it. Thats what I get for doing too many things at once.
No problem. I could have been clearer.
So what exactly is the difference between Eli Ben Dahan pronouncements and the Nazi ideology?
I had to bring myself up to date on what started this latest Gaza conflict.
At least I feel knowledgeable now.
