Hi Chips. Ever since since the Israeli bombing and Russian body snatching started, I feel so tired at night that I sleep longer and deeper than I have before. I think it’s a way of escaping it all. I hope our president gets a chance to deal with the crises on his desk before new madness erupts. In the meantime, there’s a lot of stuff to do to help him in November. We’ve got tons of events planned for rest of the summer that are big opportunities for voter registration–a county fair this weekend, a Fiesta Latina in August, a Rock the Vote event in early September. Hope you have a great day.
It’s been a bewildering few days Jackie, I keep thinking of what faces PBO every morning he wakes, endless troubles.

Lol! Politico new polls say that the public agrees with this president on not starting any new wars and to be disengaged. And but, they trust the GOP more in foreign policy.
Now does that make sense?
On the issue of foreign policy specifically, voters say they trust Republicans over Democrats by 7 points, 39 percent to 32 percent. Twenty-eight percent said they were unsure which party to trust.

Jovie, I’m glad you realize that many of these polls are just plain B.S. And this one is no exception. Poll a bunch of Libertarians and GOPers and present the findings as “public” perception. I call BULL CHIT!
They said they polled more democrats this time around bc electorate is stabilizing for democrats.

When they make that claim, they usually poll mostly Southern, White, older, more conservative “Democrats” They’ve used that trick before – in fact they used it often in the months leading up to the 2012 election.

Jovie–I guarantee you that the people polled do not know what Hillary Clinton did or did not do as SOS. The American press rarely covered her international activities because there’s always been a concerted attempt to blackout any positive coverage of the Obama administration. That poll is meaningless nonsense designed to undermine Dem confidence in Hillary Clinton and the president.
Linda, this actually makes me laugh. If you asked any random person you meet to tell you what the US foreign policy is, not one in 500 would have a clue. If you asked what IS foreign policy, most would be stumped. I regularly meet with fairly intelligent Dems and they are pretty clueless when it comes to anything outside of local, state or national events. So the whole thing is a lot of BS and shows an incompetent pollster.

I’m with you, Rikyrah. Reminds me of the old movies where a girl only has to put up her hair and put on glasses to be thought “an intellectual” and therefore not sexually attractive. Then she takes the glasses off and takes her hair down and the guy falls in love with her. It’s an old cliche, just like Rick Perry himself and those who fall for it are as cliched as the old movie lovers.
I know, those glasses are too much. Now, he is mobilizing the Texas National Guard troops to secure the border. But he can’t get the Texas delegation to pass the supplemental. The video below is a great companion to the article.
